Rant/Rave?  I have a bleeding hemorrhoid right now because butt problems.  Also its raining as my son has a baseball game and I want them to cancel it. But we planted a tree this weekend. 

GTKY: What are your go-to things/games/ideas for travel with your kid(s)? We play I spy all the time. We did the truck honking game one day.  Sometimes we look for license plates

@mambo5-2 I am so sorry about the hemorrhoid. That sounds so painful. What type of tree did you plant? Was Arbor Day this weekend?

Any thoughts about this cycle? It’s really wonky coming off of BC. I started bleeding Friday night after just 10 days since my last cycle. So I’m hoping this is my first true period since getting off of BC and that I’ll start ovulating again here soon

Rant/Rave? It is raining where I live for the first time in a loooong time and hopefully that will help to curb our drought and fire season.

GTKY: What are your go-to things/games/ideas for travel with your kid(s)?  We are actually flying to New York on Friday for a wedding! My plan is to bring lots of snacks, candy, Squigz, and I’m going to the dollar store this week for some cheap new toys for my son to open on the plane. This will also be our first time flying with the car seat installed in the plane so fingers crossed it is more helpful than not.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I’m hopeful, but still doubting I’ll see a BFP. I just started feeling icky, but there’s a lot of sickness going around my school right now.

Rant/Rave? We are in the teens of days of school left! And it’s teacher appreciation week! I got super snarky with my students in the hallway today… they’re super entitled for some reason (I work with a very poor and disadvantaged demographic), and I was handed a cookie in the hall. My kids were like “where’s our cookie? Why don’t we get one?” And without thinking, I was like “get your college degree in education! Then you get a cookie!” 😂 

GTKY: What are your go-to things/games/ideas for travel with your kid(s)? We don’t travel really (Covid kid curse), so I don’t really have anything yet. Our longest trip was 2 hours in the car, and we just sang songs and ate snacks!

Any thoughts about this cycle? My clinic will let me do one more monitored cycle abs after that I’m not 100% on what we’re going to do because monitoring will cost a LOT of money and time so fingers crossed this one just works and we don’t have to go there

Rant/Rave? My DA started full time daycare today as I started a new job and he did SO good! He was so happy at drop off and pick up! Although he did only nap for 30min lol but I just pushed bedtime early and hoping he has a long rested um night sleep now!

my kids HATES the car and car seat so I avoid travel at all costs lmao if we have to I plan it at nap time lol

@iiirene have you checked out those plane straps you hook to the seats? I forget what it’s called but we used one when our son was two and it was so convenient! He is a smaller kid and it fit him great. 

@ejoseph16 I just ran into the store tonight and got my kiddo’s teacher a Dunkin card. So appreciative of our teachers!

Any thoughts about this cycle? I am 7 dpo and started feeling some definite crampy feelings tonight. Not sure what to make of it. But 🤞🏼 It’s something. Or I’m just crazy and imagining my normal body feels as something lol. Although, this is only my second month off bc in forever too so that might have something to do with it. Ugh.

Rant/Rave? My son had karate tonight and has baseball tomorrow night and Thursday and a game Saturday. I love it but it’s also exhausting. 

GTKY: What are your go-to things/games/ideas for travel with your kid(s)? We drove 20ish hours to Disney world last year when he was 4. The Nintendo switch was a lifesaver. No wifi  needed lol. He’s at a good age where we bring that a lot for longer trips. He also loves any kind of wipe clean book. And he loves to play what he calls “the rhyming game” where we literally all just take turns saying words that rhyme haha.

I literally got home from work today and was cooking dinner and my four year old was chasing her sister and broke her dang finger. We spent the evening in the ER.

Rant/Rave? I have had people visiting which is fun but also exhausting! I am really busy at work and am looking forward to when things settle down which is maybe... June?

GTKY: What are your go-to things/games/ideas for travel with your kid(s)? Now that they're older, they have Kindle Fire tablets that they use for long hauls. My DD gets car sick so reading doesn't work, though my DS does read in the car. On the plane coloring/drawing is successful as long as you don't lose all the pencils

Rant/Rave? DD's birthday was a success, even though she was sick and DH was away. I'm proud of myself for making her day special without family and friends, but it was definitely hard not to be sad. She couldn't have her friend over so it was just the three of us. She was in great spirits though and we had lots of fun together. 

GTKY: What are your go-to things/games/ideas for travel with your kid(s)? We travel quite a bit, and honestly, we go straight for iPads + headphones. DH and I get peace and quiet and the kids can relax. I used to pack a lot of sticker packs, magnet tile games, water magic books, sketch pads, etc - but it's a lot of work for not much payoff lol.

@mrsmtothek Oh we have a ton of games.  He really likes anything racing, we have sonic and mario.  We also LOVE Mario Party but that is to be played with us on the big screen.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Kinda hopeful, but really trying not to get my hopes up since we struggled last time. Our timing was great though, so it can't really get much better than that as far as timing goes. I'm having some light cramping/pelvic pressure and low back pain, but it's probably just my fibroid playing games with my TTC brain.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Sort of optimistic. Not necessarily about everything working out this cycle, but optimistic about seeing the RE and hopefully trying something new.

Rant/Rave? I worked out this morning before work which is huge for me since I love my sleep. A little worried DD is getting a cold right before we are supposed to travel. Really hoping it is just allergies and/or she show substantial improvement before tomorrow.

GTKY: What are your go-to things/games/ideas for travel with your kid(s)? For longer trips, we definitely do some screen time to watch a show or movie. She might be getting to the age where she would enjoy games on a device too, but we haven’t branched into that yet. She did enjoy counting things we passed (bridges, flags, etc. on a recent trip). Otherwise: wiki stix and pipe cleaners, sticker books, a couple new little toys for the novelty, Highlights magazine, etc.

@ReadyForaB those seat straps are interesting. If the car seat ends up being a nightmare we will try those out for next time. I bought something that attaches the seat to my suitcase so that we don’t have to carry it through the airport.

@abjm0325 this time of year is awful on my kids allergies. They are always a mess. 

@bbrahmbhatt my kids were not car fans for a very long time. We listened to a lot of Moana for years. 

@mrsmtothek tablets and headphones are life. Over an hour and we always have them because otherwise the youths fight. 

@Paturkey I have.kiddos that get super carsick..I do too. We love the Dramamine. My son likes seabands too. 

@ReadyForaB +1 on kids activities being exhausting we have something every evening through the end of June. 

@tryingktogku the toddler car screams live deep inside my soul..I shall never forget them.
