Early hcg blood test and home test line

Hello everyone! First of all sorry, english is not my first language. A little background here. I was on the pill for 6+ years and from the 2 times that i stopped them i’ve had cysts and my period was always from the medication and i didnt have it naturally . Anyways, i stopped them last month, last menstruation 27.03. Positive test for ovulation 20.04 and a took a hcg test at 30.04 - 0,59. The next day /sat/ it was 14,1. Sunday the home pregnancy test showed second pink line. I have a period like cramps for a couple of days that are now almost gone. Today /mon/ I took another home test and the line was lighter than the yesterdays one. But the blood hcg levels today are 60,11. Then why the second pregnancy test today is lighter? Is it because yesterday maybe the hcg was higher? Thanks.

Pregnancy tests don’t show how much hcg just that it is present. A lighter line doesn’t mean that you are less pregnant.

With your history I’d call the doctor to get a blood test to confirm.

Well my blood test today is 60,11 . Its about 10-11 dpo.All the numbers i wrote are from blood tests, its just that todays home test was lighter than yesterdays. But the day before yesterday the blood test was 14,1 and today is 60,11.
  • You have a positive test, you’re getting HCG tested, stop testing at home you’re just making yourself crazy.
  • What does it mean if my second line is not getting darker?

Nothing. Even the same type of test from the same pack can have different variations in dye- they are not like ovulation tests. Trust the blood test over the home pregnancy- or use a digital test that says pregnant or not pregnant.

As the PP have said the darkness of the line is not indicative of your hcg levels - there are a lot of factors that can influence line darkness. It seems like you’re getting betas run and they’re increasing appropriately, so trust those and stop taking the HPTs.

  • Just stop peeing on sticks! There that saves the issue of that. Go with HGC numbers- that there gives you a better indicator.
