Chorionic bump

Hey everyone!

I went for my dating US today. Saw the baby and the foetal heart. Unfortunately got a call from my GP saying that there was a chorionic bump, and of course, the radiologist comments that there’s a risk of miscarriage (can’t remember the exact wording). Anybody gone through a similar situation?

I’m 9 weeks today

A subchronic hematoma?  If thats what it is you are referring to, it happens to a lit of women, most do not affect the baby.

I’m not sure if it’s the same thing or not… chorionic bump seemed different than subchorionic bleed but I could be wrong

I’d call my doctor and ask for more explanation about what it is and what it might mean for your pregnancy.

I’m almost 9.5 weeks now and I as well have a chorionic bump. The bump has not been affecting the pregnancy in any way. Everything looks great and I was told not to be too worried at this point. If you google it, yes it can be scary to read about and yes it does say an increased chance of miscarriage but if everything else looks good I wouldn’t be too worried! Try to stay positive!
