High-Risk Pregnancy

Pregnant with Lupus

Just curious.. how many people on here have Lupus and are pregnant? How is your experience?

Re: Pregnant with Lupus

  • I’m currently pregnant with my second and I have SLE.
  • I'm on my first pregnancy and I have lupus and RA. Luckily I stopped my methyltrexate a bit more than a month before getting pregnant. I also have a history of blood clots to the lungs so I was transfered to a high risk specialist. We already discussed which meds I need to stay on since suffering through wasn't going so well. I feel pretty good right now. Just know that you might flare after delivery. I was already warned about this.

  • Hey there! I just found out I’m pregnant (5 weeks, 2 days) and I also have lupus (SLE). Came off of cellcept but I also have clotting issues so I have my first transvaginal scan in 5 days to confirm heartbeat so that I can start lovenox. Have y’all had many symptoms? I knew I was pregnant because I woke up with joint pain, which I haven’t had in FOREVER. Had some symptoms that first week - peeing more, bloated, bigger boobs. But ever since the initial week I haven’t had many symptoms - no sore breast, nausea, etc. Joint pain went away. I took two tests a couple days apart so I know it wasn’t chemical, but it just makes me nervous that I’m not ~feeling~ Pregnant anymore. I know the risk for miscarriage is slightly greater for us lupus folks, so I’m just so nervous about what’s going to happen at my scan!
  • I am 6w2d also living with Lupus and a kidney transplant! I’m very optimistic about this pregnancy! It’s my first and I’m so excited to have all my doctors and family be a part of my journey, best of luck ladies
