Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
Given that it's really only a core group that comments on these posts these days, can we combine the randoms with the b!tchfest post? I feel as we get to know one another, we don't really need separate spaces to talk about what we're going through on the daily; it's all just a part of life.
@jhysmath right now the bulk of people want switchover at the end of may/early june, and most would prefer facebook. I was going to do one more poll sometime this week looking at people's willingness to do one over the other to confirm Facebook, and then look at setting things up for the end of the month.
@trapperkeeper87 I'm fine with that. Now I just have to remember to do that next week lol.

I finished The Elfstones of Shannara and The Wishsong of Shannara was ON SALE so now I am finishing the trilogy. I will for sure end up consuming every book Terry Brooks has ever written. I’ll figure out what to continue with afterwards once I get there.
The hospital here offers that pregnant moms in the area can meet Monday evenings in a livingroom area in the birth center. I went for the first time last night and will definitely go back. There were 9 of us and about half of us it was our first time. Then they gave us a tour of the birth center. No babies were being born. There were 2 others who were having baby #2, but neither one had their babies here so I was the only one who was familiar with the room....after spending almost 24 hrs there before being transferred 😅 I'm just so glad I went. I was afraid that going back into the birthing room would be scary, after my last experience there, but it felt ok and I actually am hoping I can have this baby locally. I know that you can't really "plan" a birth but I sort of want to think up all the scenarios and plan out what I'm going to do in each scenario. For example, when I first start feeling contractions, I'm going to rest/sleep as soon as and as much as I can. I'll find someone to babysit my daughter if need be. Then when contractions are getting more intense, I'll listen to hypnobirthing sound tracks to keep my head in a good space. With my daughter, she was 1.5 weeks overdue so when contractions started I was super excited and didn't know what to do with myself. I had planned and planned and knew what to do but my brain went haywire and lost all function so I didn't remember anything i was supposed to do🙄😅
@babywiik it’s so cool you were able to go to the birth centre in such a setting!! Nothing wrong with picturing how you want your birth to be. I hope it works out that way for you 😊
@babywiik what a cool experience! I'll have to check to see if we have anything like that here. I hope you've got an awesome experience ahead of you this time!
We're a week from May and it's 57 degrees here. In South Texas.
That's so great you were able to go back into the room and have a great experience in there! Sometimes that can be the worst, just the thinking about it. For me anyway. Keep picturing the beautiful birth you want.
(Once again, data is primarily gathered from the introductions and ultrasounds posts, with occasional additions from the weekly updates thread).

Our youngest active is 25. Among the inactives, our youngest was 21 (of course, some people didn't report ages). So you must be thinking about the October board.

@kboydbowman I've been paying attention now and we have 3 active from the north east. @lucyg00cy and I are in nh and @bigworldlittleg is in MA. Perhaps I'm the odd one not being counted because I'm split between nh, and ny and you categorize me in ny because of buffalo?
My spreadsheet is on my laptop at home, so I'll check it and see if I have your location down; if I do it's whatever you indicated in your intro, most likely. Do you want me to count you as from NH rather than NY?

I don't think I listed MN in my intro. I don't think I even mentioned it until this week, so if I'm not one of the 7 in the Midwest feel free to add me in

I highly, highly recommend these leggings from Old Navy. They're so soft, dirt cheap, and have a full panel for the belly (I know some don't like that, but I love it). I did pay full price for a black pair (well, there was a small discount), and it was so worth it. I lived in leggings last pregnancy - and I was never a leggings person before that - and I'm thrilled to have found my go-to this time around! Perfect for under dresses too, if you're looking for a bit more modesty as your bump grows and the dress gets shorter. 😄
VERY random, but I have become obsessed with playing online Spider Solitaire. I play constantly, and I have yet to get bored of it. I play two-suits, and it's pretty challenging! I only win about a third of the time, which is perhaps why I've gotten addicted!
Word to the wise: if you don't understand taxes and special circumstances that may apply to you (such as the sale of a home within 2 years of purchase), maybe don't do your own taxes or blindly trust your unqualified spouse to do them. This isn't my situation, but trust me, this isn't going to be pretty for the friend I know it applies to that I have just informed (I have a degree in both finance and real estate, so I'm not clueless on this).
So I got my urine culture back and surprise surprise, the antibiotics did nothing yet again. So since I’ve been through 2 rounds and it’s basically done nothing I’ve been referred to a urologist. So something else I get to deal with. Yay! Fingers crossed that I can get them to say to leave it alone like my regular doctor since I basically always have asymptomatic UTIs but not holding my breath. 🙄
@dsmith211 they'll probably test mine again today and likely find that my latest course of antibiotics didn't work either. So we're Bacteria Buddies lol. Seriously, asymptomatic UTIs are my life and I'm in the same boat as you - it ain't doing anything, so just leave it the hell alone because I am SO TIRED of the yeast infections from the antibiotics.

@kboydbowman I’m honestly just glad I’ll be going to someone who knows what they’re doing with this and hoping they’ll just say just leave it alone or at least back off a little bit so that my doctors will finally listen. So tired of yeast infections (which I never get, but of course I am now with all the antibiotics).
I swear the stress of running these labs, all the antibiotics, etc is causing more issues than the mystery UTI. 😂
My scale broke last week. I’m worried that I’ve gained five pounds in a week because my appetite is out of control rn. This is particularly annoying bc 2.5 weeks ago I was starting to worry that I haven’t been gaining enough weight and it would get brought up at my appointment. It’s always something…
@pangolindrome it was here with the spoons convo! I'm getting one today. Oreo's + m&m's for sure. I wonder if they still have twist cones.... could be good with chocolate ice cream since they never mix the stuff in at the bottom anyway.
