1st Trimester

Diet changes!!

All my life i have been overweight and have struggled to lose weight. It doesn't help that I'm on medication for anxiety. I'm addicted to carbs and have a serious problem with bored eating. I also struggle with exercising because I work until 5pm and by the time I get home i wanna relax and spend time with my husband, so it's difficult to motivate myself to take the extra time to go to the gym or go for a walk.

I know focusing on weight loss obviously isn't smart while you're pregnant, but I don't want to gain an excess amount of weight either. I'd like tk take thus time to force myself to change my habits. What diet changes have you made? And how have you worked exercise into your routine when you're nauseous and exhausted 24/7? Any tips would be so appreciated!!!

  • This would be a great conversation to have with your doctor. They can guide you in how much weight you can expect to gain, what is important to eat and how to eat healthfully for yourself and your pregnancy. For example, carbs are an important building block in pregnancy so low carb diets aren’t necessarily healthy in pregnancy (or ever, but that’s beside the point).
