Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
I ordered an extra shot of espresso in my latte this morning. After a long night in the ER with my teenager and not getting home until nearly 4 a.m., I have zero regrets. It's getting me through the work day.
(Teenager is fine. He got a solid steel ring stuck on his finger and we weren't able to remove it at home. Power tools with the ER doc for the win. But boooooooo to teenage foolishness.)
I’m in virtual inservice and my friend planned it all and is facilitating all day and… I still don’t give a crap. It’s high quality, teacher-driven and all I want to do is sleep.
I decided today instead of fighting the "why are you doing anything today is the last day before break". Questions that I would just play games all day. I gave them their test yesterday without a review day, because I wasn't dealing with it today. It was a great stress free day. Yes it was a wasted day but I just don't care right now.
@jhysmath I hope your district is okay with some relationship maintaining/building days even late in the year. There is merit in taking a break and having a good day.
@mnmomma84 I once had to take my teenage brother (younger) to the ER because while my parents were out of the country he was hammering a piece of metal in the garage and he came inside to show me that his index finger was hanging. Whoops. Finger put back together by amazing ER doc. Fun times those boys haha.

@pangolindrome oh my district is all about sel as terrible as this sounds, I feel they push sel more than education.
In true FFFC fashion, I can relate.
My friend/landlady/coworker is a TOSA for our district as of this year… or last, idk, and she’s also been pushing us all to literally teach SEL during advisory. I never thought I’d be a teacher who said “l thx nope, I’m a content teacher.” I’m all for relationship building. I EXCEL at it. I do not care for being told to add crap to my agenda without my consent. Causing stress by forcing SEL is messed up.
@pangolindrome yes we have an sel curriculum that we have to teach during advisory. It's awful. The kids think it's a joke. I hate that more and more is being put on teachers to teach especially those who are not sel educated themselves. I teach math and if someone is crying I can direct them to guidance I don't deal with crying.

Some complicated chromosomal stuff going on - our fingers are crossed, but this may not go according to plan!
