Mambo, 5 losses maybe 6.  Once again, unknown reasoning.

    Status: Waiting for IVF

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Meh.  I was so happy to have a reason and then they took my reason for my losses away.  It gives me big feelings. I don't even know at this point.

Any testing coming up/any recent results?  I have injection training this week

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: What is keeping you motivated this week? Um hopefully warmer weather. And we scheduled a vacation to St. Louis.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? I got stuck on an IG page of a baby who was born prematurely and was reading all of their NICU adventures. It was very triggering but I couldn't stop reading all the posts. It made me nervous about having to go through any of that again, but also made be realize (again) that the path we took with our son was the right one for us.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? my first US monitoring is next Monday. Hoping I have some good follicles brewing.

    Questions? nope

GTKY: What is keeping you motivated this week? having a plan. helps with my anxiety.

  • @bearmomma1 hugs.  I do that stuff all the time, land on triggering social media pages. But sometimes you just can't stop scrolling. It is kind of comforting sometimes.

@bearmomma1 I hear you on having a plan to help with the anxiety. I also get lost in the IG black hole from time to time so I feel you on that as well.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Things are going well. I had my first therapy appt last week and I meshed really well with the therapist. She shared with me that she also had a MC at 12 weeks, and while that is awful for her, it's comforting to speak with someone who has experienced it as well. I feel like you can't really understand until you've been through it so I am glad she gets it.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope

    Questions? Not right now

GTKY: What is keeping you motivated this week? It's a short week for me. I only work 3.5 days with shortened hours so just getting through to the weekend! Then next week I work a full week and then off on vacation! I am SO READY!

  • @mambo5-2 I’m sorry they took your diagnosis, and that you don’t have a solid answer now. I can only imagine your frustration.
@bearmomma1 Ugh, I do that to myself all the time. For me, sometimes it feels good to feel seen by reading about a similar situation, even if I know it will be triggering.
@ReadyForaB Congrats on being back on the TTC train!

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? It took me a while to find someone taking new patients, but I finally have a therapy intake appointment on Thursday. I am super nervous, but proud of myself for taking the step and admitting I need help to work through all of this loss. Also remote therapy seems weird.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? No

  • @mambo5-2 Yeah, my only previous experience with therapy was in person, and I feel like it will be weird to be talking on the phone about therapy topics. I wonder if it would be rude if I did it while taking a walk?
  • @maggiemadeit I don't think it'd be rude, but you might not be able to concentrate or be as open as you need to be, with fear someone might overhear you on your walk. Is your appointment only on the phone and not video call? I did Zoom therapy back in 2020 and it might've made it less weird. Then I was able to see her in person once.
@tessiesmom26 horray for short week and vacation? Where are you headed?
@readyforab oh man, I hear you on seeing the easter pics. definitely a good motivation.

  • @maggiemadeit chiming in bc I have been doing telehealth one on one and group for awhile. So if its during work hours I book a conference room and close the door but if its not I'm just in my office at home. I do it via zoom.  I can see walking and talking because sometimes I do group when I'm cooking dinner.

  • @mambo5-2 Feel free to scream and express those big feelings with us. Hugs, friend.

@bearmomma1 Ugh, I think we’ve all fallen into that trap with triggering social media posts. I hope the US shows a great crop of follicles!

@ReadyForaB +1 to the photos prompting me to try to eat better/exercise more!

@tessiesmom26 So glad you liked the therapist! It seems really helpful that she can understand about your losses.

@maggiemadeit I hope therapy goes well! Remote therapy does seem like it might be a little awkward at first, but hopefully it will be nice not to have to travel to an office whenever you have an appointment.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? The chaos of work has been a distraction (although I wouldn’t call it good). Easter dinner with my in-laws was cancelled so I didn’t have to see the BIL and SIL that had the insensitive announcement, which I’m thankful for.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? RE visit in early May

    Questions? Not today

GTKY: What is keeping you motivated this week? The sunshine today is helping!

  • Circling back to say thanks for all the support on remote therapy. It was actually way less weird than I’d thought it would be, but I did have to take the call out in my car because it wasn’t possible to clear the house today and I needed some privacy. I got on well with the counselor and felt like I got a little comfort there already.

@tessiesmom26 Glad to hear that therapy is off to a good start for you too.
