Covid and pregnancy

Ahhh hadn’t gotten covid in 2 years and I tested positive today. I am currently 31w, I am vaccinated and boosted but I am freaking out. Symptoms are mild so far, sneezing, sporadic dry cough, and congestion. Anyone had covid during pregnancy and have any advice, insight?

Thank you so much in advance!

Re: Covid and pregnancy

  • I had Covid in January and I am also vaccinated and boosted. All it’s meant for me is a couple more ultrasounds and I take a baby aspirin every day. I haven’t had any complications or problems.
Take care of yourself and call your ob if you notice anything worrying!

  • Thank you so much! This makes me feel better :)
  • I had Covid in January as well and I found it annoying and had trouble getting rid of the cough and the nasal phlegm since I couldn't take anything, but my doctor and OB were not worried at all for the baby because I'm vaccinated and boosted.  Take it easy and drink tons of water.
@fluteling why did they recommend a baby aspirin every day?  I hadn't heard of that... Thanks!
  • @shoarmie99 they said to lower the risk of clotting, I think one of the Covid side effects is blood clots.
  • @shoarmie99 thank for this! Yes my only concern has been the baby but my doctor said the same that baby should be finé because I am vaccinated and boosted. Already feeling better today, so hopefully it continues getting better every day. @fluteling i read about this online, too! The good thing is that I was already taking baby aspirin so it should also help prevent any possible clotting.
