  • What number are you trying for? Free

    Month/Cycle? 4/3

    WTO/TWW? TWW hell

    Ages of other child(ren)? 6, 3

Any thoughts about this cycle? I wish I could be more patient and less cynical. Just waiting for this cycle to wrap up.

    Any questions? Nope.

Rant/Rave? I finished all the present shopping for Easter AND DD's birthday this weekend, self-five! I still need to order some decorations to round out her birthday celebration but I'm not too worried.

GTKY: Are you doing anything fun for Easter? We don't have any family nearby and DH is working, so it'll probably just be an Easter egg hunt inside like usual and thats it. The kids have spring break starting Monday and HALLELUJAH because Easter Monday *should* be a holiday with all the sugar rushes. Those poor teachers.

Any thoughts about this cycle?  Why my blood gotta be funky

    Any questions? Not really

Rant/Rave? I am in a big mood because my blood initially showed a Protein C and S deficiency, saw the Hematologist, came up with what I thought was a good plan.  We are rerunning blood work, and my blood is coming back normal and that is soul crushing for me. Now I don't know what I am doing.  I was so excited for a possible answer and now I don't even have that.

GTKY: Are you doing anything fun for Easter?  Family Easter Egg Hunt, I don't even wanna go.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Cautiously optimistic!

    Any questions? Nadda

Rant/Rave? Little man starts daycare full time in July at a home daycare where his cousins go which I am SO looking forward to but I also just found out he got into the one that is run out of the school he will be attending just down the street from me in September so I think I’ll be putting him in the home daycare in July and switching him to the school based one in September because it’s literally 10 houses down the street from me and has better operational hours! I just don’t know the care provider or anyone that has kids there for a review 😬 abs I’ll feel bad switching him once he gets adjusted but I guess kids are resilient?

GTKY: Are you doing anything fun for Easter?
We did an egg hunt at my in laws already and will do another at my parents on Easter! I got my little guy his summer shoes/ sandals some sidewalk chalk and bubbles and a bike seat attachment for Easter this year!
  • @mrsmtothek I hope your daughter has a fantastic birthday!

@mambo5-2 why don’t you want to join the egg hunt!?

  • Hey ladies! I've been MIA for a bit; our house was hit with several waves of illness and then I just got busy with work, and then Easter prep and DDs 1st bday prep. Hopefully I can be more present here now.

Any thoughts about this cycle? We're getting more serious this cycle, and I'm a bunch of nerves about really starting all the TTC craziness again (we've been kinda loosey goosey since my cycles have been so unpredictable, we've all been sick for the past month and my OB had told me to wait at least 12 months). Hopefully we (we meaning me) don't get so stressed out this time, but honestly I'm not optimistic for that lol.

Any questions? I don't think so.

Rant/Rave? I'm on call and it looks like there will be a late case so boo.

GTKY: Are you doing anything fun for Easter? We're having DDs party on Saturday, and my family is coming on Friday, and DHs family will be in on Saturday. It should be fun; I haven't seen my mom since DD was born last year.
  • @tryingktogku it's with DHs family and they can be so overwhelming. Especially when I am in my feelings about what is going on with me.

  • @mambo5-2 ah yes that’s understandable! My DH’s family can be overwhelming at times too especially when I’m in my head about TTC! Maybe you’ll be surprised and you’ll have a lovely day that actually takes your mind off TTC tho!
  • @mambo5-2 Ugh I'm so sorry. Having things come back normal without definitive reason or cause is the biggest mind eff.

@tryingktogku Wow 10 houses down, can't beat that proximity! Reviews are usually subjective anyways, but I understand your concerns. You'll know if it's a good fit or not when he starts!

@bbrahmbhatt Happy to have you back!! Enjoy DD's party this weekend, and happy birthing day to you too!

  • @mrsmtothek yes! Agree on the sugar rush.  Unfortunately, my boss gives us Good Friday off, not Easter Monday.  I am thankful for the day off but with it was Monday instead for this reason.  Poor kid has to wake up early and go to school the next day.  Ugh.

@mambo5-2 Ugh, I can related to overwhelming in-laws.  Not fun!  My husband is so up his parents butts, like all the time.  But I try to tell myself, I hope my son sees how close they are and we have that with him one day. They aren't terrible, just drive me a little nuts most of the time haha.

Any thoughts about this cycle?  I got pretty sick shortly into my cycle and temping went out the window so we pretty much fell into a NTNP boat.  So, meh.

    Any questions? Nope.

    Rant/Rave?  Nopeeee.

GTKY: Are you doing anything fun for Easter?  Well, having my little guy wake up Easter morning excited for his basket and egg hunt is definitively the highlight for me.  Other than that we are just going to a restaurant for dinner with our families.  No one wants to claim Easter and we already do a father's day BBQ and Christmas and/or Thanksgiving every year at our place so I refuse.

  • @mambo5-2 that is frustrating. Was the first reading borderline? Or were you getting over an illness before either test? I don't do a lot of clinical pathology, I'm primarily just anatomic, but I am fairly certain there is a molecular genetics test that can be done at least for protein C. It's mainly used when the blood work is inconclusive but clinical suspicion is high. I hope that you get some kind of answer and plan soon; I hate not having a plan too, it's the worst feeling.
  • @bbrahmbhatt no my first reading was crazy low. So it being normal this time was shocking.

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4.5

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just twiddling my thumbs waiting on FW to start. Not feeling too hopeful for whatever reason. Maybe because I know the RE visit is around the corner and I’m doubtful anything will happen before then.

    Any questions? Not today

Rant/Rave? My DD is doing such a good job at soccer practice so far! This is our first attempt at an organized (as much as 4-year-olds can be) sport but it has been going really well. Her first game is Saturday so I’m sure that will be entertaining to watch!

GTKY: Are you doing anything fun for Easter? Just the usual family stuff. A meal with each side of the family this weekend and we will hunt Easter eggs at home sometime in there too.

  • @mrsmtothek I abhor the waiting at the end of a cycle when you already know it’s a bust. Sending hugs and hope your body decides to move on soon.

@mambo5-2 What an awful roller coaster with all the testing! I hope when your OB gets back you all can make a solid plan for moving forward (whether more testing, treatment, etc).

@tryingktogku I home the home daycare and the switch in the fall go well! I wouldn’t worry too much about the transition. It might be a rough few days, but I’m sure he will settle in and it will be great to be close to home.

@bbrahmbhatt Hopefully your cycle will cooperate and you won’t get too stressed. Glad to “see” you again!

@ReadyForaB Way to make a stand against hosting! My DD finally remembers the previous year’s holidays so she is definitely excited for the egg hunt this year.

  • @mrsmtothek I'm so sorry you are still waiting for this cycle to end. I hope things progress quickly for you. And have a great weekend with all your celebrations!

@mambo5-2 I am sorry you are still riding the wave of trying to figure out what is going on with your BW. I can understand how that would be extremely frustrating.

@tryingktogku I hope your little guy does well with the transition. My dude is in the school run program and we LOVE it!

    @bbrahmbhatt Welcome back!

@readyforaB I agree that seeing the kiddos wake up excited is one of the best parts of the holidays!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Ugh, I'm nervous to be honest. DH fell last weekend and yesterday when he left work he was in tears because he was in so much pain. He went to the ER and turns out he broke his rib. He could barely get out of bed this morning and I feel bad. I'm nervous because it's the start of FW and we need to get to DTD but I don't think he is going to be able to manage and I really hope we don't miss the window entirely.

    Any questions? Nope

    Rant/Rave? See above..

GTKY: Are you doing anything fun for Easter? We are hosting and DH is smoking a ham! DS is excited for an egg hunt and for the Easter Bunny to come so I think it's going to be a nice day for us!

  • @abjm0325 definitely feel you on the thumb twiddling. I feel like O is so long away...

@tessiesmom26 oh no, those hurt so much! I know it royally sucks, but maybe you could use this cycle to have some more "me time" or time to just relax? I was a surgeon before I switched specialties and broken ribs often take weeks before you're feeling better. I'm so sorry for you and for DH!
