FTM/STM/TTM+: STM (have 2.5 y/o)

Upcoming Appointments or Results: April 21 at 8 weeks is my first OB appointment

How are you feeling?: I feel very little pregnancy symptoms. I thought I had a bunch of symptoms pretty early last pregnancy, so it’s disconcerting to not feel anything now, but my pregnancy tests kept getting darker until they became “dye stealers,” so it’s not like there’s not pregnancy hormones floating around. Just very nervous for the first visit. I know, I know that you can’t tell a lot from how much symptoms you have early on, it’s just that I want a time machine to two weeks from now. 😅

Rants/Raves: I think I already ranted. 😂

Questions: Anyone do any good self care recently? Trying to find a way to be more chill.

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM (I have a 12 y/o daughter 

Upcoming Appointments or Results: First ultrasound on the 15th and first OB appointment on May 17th. I am also needing to schedule genetic testing to happen during/after 9 weeks. 

How are you feeling?: Still in shock. This was completely unexpected and unplanned. Otherwise, I’m feeling pretty good! Fatigue that comes and goes, some increased hunger, and I have to pee ALL THE TIME. Happily, my acne has really cleared up (something I’ve been struggling with for 12+ months). I can’t recall when morning sickness hit me with my daughter, but I know as soon as it did - I felt terrible for good 2-3 months, so I’m not looking forward to it when it does start.

Rants/Raves: Nothing at this time. Still trying to adjust to the idea of being a STM and transitioning our lives from a family of 3 to a family of 4, especially since my daughter is already in middle school.

 @krb99 It’s been helpful for me to move my body! I took a break from my normal gym workouts last week, but still made a point of getting outside on nice days to walk. I also love taking warm baths with epsom salt and nice music playing. I think it’s important to just do a personal inventory of what you feel is either missing or things that you normally enjoy that you haven’t done recently and incorporate those back into your life. Self-care can come in many different packages!

Week of April 20th but went in to a local ultrasound clinic to “confirm pregnancy”


How are you feeling?: boobs hurt terribly and really tired



Rants/Raves: I found out later with my first pregnancy so I guess I’m just kind of anxious if everything is okay with the big gap until my appt . At the ultra sound this weekend you could only see the gestational sac which measured on time but bc it was abdominal you couldn’t see anything else … that was discouraging I guess And kind of freaked me out



Questions: has anyone had an early ultraSound done abdominally ?

FTM/STM/TTM+: THIRD! (Still feels weird!) I have a 3yo and 1.5yo

Upcoming Appointments or Results: First appointment is 4/27. My OB from my older boys retired recently so I’m seeing a new doctor and hoping it’s a good fit!

How are you feeling?: I have good hours and bad hours. 🤪 Emotionally, feeling excited, hopeful. 

Rants/Raves: Rant: I didn’t get a job that I believe a current coworker got instead of me, and it’s been really difficult to manage with my crazy pregnancy emotions. Rave: Looking on the bright side about being passed over, I get to stay at my current workplace which has a great family leave policy.

Questions: not at this time. 

@krb99 My self-care lately has been crafting. I have a couple projects I’m planning, and I’m learning to crochet. It keeps my mind from going crazy places by giving me something to focus on, but nothing too mentally exhausting. 

@scott2ab I’ve never seen my Dr before the 8-10 week mark so it’s always torture waiting till that first appointment! Goes by much quicker with 2 toddlers running around though!

@bananapancakes I’m jealous your acne has gone away! Mine has been SO much worse the last week and a half.

How are you feeling?: shockingly really well for now! Only symptoms noticed are being cold, going up the bathroom a lot and my eczema acting up.

Rants/Raves: As a first time mom waiting for the first appointment at almost 9 weeks constantly nervous that something is wrong.

Now that the shock has worn off just really enjoying this time with my husband and soaking it all in!

Upcoming Appointments or Results: I’m getting my ultrasound and first OB appointment May 3…I wanted earlier so I’m just impatiently waiting haha



How are you feeling?: nervous, excited! I have type 1 diabetes so I’m a bit nervous about managing that throughout this whole thing. I only have boob soreness…I obviously don’t “want” morning sickness but it almost feels like it’ll make it feel more real since I won’t have an appointment until I’m 10 weeks!



Rants/Raves: maternity leave at my job is pretty bad but they are working to change it so I’m just hoping it ends up being good



Questions: anyone bleed a little after having sex? I did the other day and it was just a little pink/brown but still freaked me out

@rachdudum It’s so hard to be at the end of the month and see all these ultrasound/appointment updates! Waiting (im)patiently with you! 😩 

But also, good for you, I do not have the energy for sex right now 😂 I don’t think I did with my first two either!

My due date is November 30th! I went for an early scan at 6 weeks and was so thrilled and relieved to see a heartbeat and to hear from the doc that everything is looking great. I went early because I was having very intense cramping that would last like 5 mins once every few days. It was so scary and painful the first time I thought something was wrong! The doc saw a clot in my ultrasound that she said is quite common and harmless and it’s what is causing the cramping. It’s been quite a few days now and no cramping so hopefully that’s the last of it! I do feel a lot more relieved to know the reason behind it though. Does anyone else feel a lot of anxiety? I find scrolling through Instagram I’m really triggered when I see posts about miscarriage. I think it’s so important for women to talk about their miscarriage experiences but it also creates so much anxiety for me when I see it. Just being honest.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: Not until the end of the month. And I just realized I need to change it. Probably push it back a day or two.

How are you feeling?: Fine. Some nausea. Puked for the first time three days ago. My girls were sobbing outside the bathroom.

Questions: Anyone else have issues logging on for the past week? I haven’t been able to get the site to load for days. 

@scott2ab, yes. I’ve only had an early US with my first. It was a dating scan around 8 weeks, and it was abdominal. (I didn’t even know transvaginal was a thing at the time. That would have been a not-so-nice surprise!)
