Weekly Check in for DD 11/1-11/8 (w/o 4/4)

Hello!  Welcome everyone!

(I decided to start with our ideas of dividing up the check-ins. Thanks @sejica for doing the math! Let me know if I did it right!  For others with later due dates check out the post in the Board Organization thread for how we are dividing up the weeks.  If you have a later due date please start your own weekly check in if it hasn't happened already.  Just make sure you use a similar discussion title so that it is clear what due dates the check in is for and that the week the check in is for (ex. 4/4).  Just look at the title of this discussion for an example.)

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM, one 9 yr old son.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: Almost here!!! First ultrasound Thursday (4/7)! Finally!

How are you feeling?: Nauseous, exhausted, food aversions. All the typical 1st trimester fun. Emotionally I'm doing great though.

Rants/Raves: Rant- Why is it still snowing in April?! Come on WI, get it together. Rave- We bought a (new to us) truck this week. It's sooo spacious and my DH made sure it had remote start and heated seats for me! We've been a single car household for most of the pandemic and finally have 2 again.

Questions: None at the moment.

How are you feeling?: Struggling hard with nausea & insomnia, but overall very anxious & excited.  

Rant: My heightened sense of smell does not appreciate how gassy my dogs have been. Rave: My husband has been the best partner through this “morning” sickness.

Questions: Has anyone done an at-home test to determine the baby’s sex? I bought SneakPeek & plan to use it tonight.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: Next week going in for NIPT testing

How are you feeling?: tired, always tired. Nauseous this morning, puked for the second time since getting pregnant, but all and all it hasn’t been too terrible lol

Raves: just moved into a new house that is so much bigger than the old one, and will have lots of space for kids!
Rant: do not like the taste of the tap water here lol. The previous owner remodeled so I think it might be the new faucet. Hoping it will be normal after a few days

Questions: how long did it take y’all to get the results for prenatal testing? I’m in the US if that makes a difference

@little_umlaut my husband has really stepped up too! Couldn't survive this without him.

@manamo777 I'm going in for NIPT next week too.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: Trying to figure out why Maternal Fetal Medicine hasn't called me back to schedule my first appointment with them 🙄 It should be in the next few weeks.

How are you feeling?: Still so sick. Some days are better than others. Today has been a rough day. I understand the perspective that symptoms are a good sign....BUT I'm completely over it. I'm sick of feeling sick.

Rants/Raves: I had to run outside to help my son down from our playscape (which I told them not to climb) and left my phone inside. In the not even 2 minutes, my Dr called about an elevated result on my bloodwork. Of course the office is closed now. I went in a looked over my chart, and my A1C is a little high 😫 I had GD with my last pregnancy and I had begged for this pregnancy to be different. Looks like I might be in for it. I'll wait to throw all my emotions in until I actually speak to my doctor tomorrow, but I'm feeling super bummed right now. DS had a NICU stay because of his blood sugar when he was born and I am still processing that trauma.

How are you feeling?: Ok, everyone is recovering from being sick at our house. 

Rants/Raves: I already can't stand being at work...this is no good.

How are you feeling?: symptom wise not too bad today. Sinuses are out of control with it being warm one day and cold and rainy the next. 

Rants/Raves: this app is driving me crazy right now. I can’t post unless I go to the website.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: I had an ultrasound today and everything looked great. I go back again 5/23 for another ultrasound to check my cervical length.

How are you feeling?: Great! A tiny bit of nausea here and and there and I'm tired but I've been super lucky in having very few pregnancy symptoms in any of my pregnancies. Except constipation. Constipation gets me every time lol.

Rants/Raves: Rant- my kids are sick again. We've been sick nearly every other week since September and I'm soooooooo over it. I wish it would get warm outside already! Rave- just that my ultrasound went well today. They always make me nervous.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: April 11 (my birthday) virtual appt to probably schedule my cerclage at 12 weeks

How are you feeling?: Nauseous and swollen... My feet and legs up to my calves are swollen beyond recognition. As long as I don't cough or gargle when brushing my teeth... I won't puke 🤢

Rants/Raves: My husband and two kids (10 and 14 save my life daily. I have stairs and can only manage to go up and down them

Est Due Date: 8 Nov.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good overall! Some nausea and the occasional mood swing but nothing I can't handle.

Rant: Everything my partner says completely infuriates me from when I wake up until 10 am! That also happens to be when my nausea subsides and I can finally eat something. Coincidence? I think not. Rave: My 8 month old is crawling and dancing and doing all the most fun stuff right now. So awesome :)
