I feel fine… until I realized that I can only roll over 1 of my 6 weeks of PTO after 1/1. And with a mid December due date.. I’ll have to use most of my PTO before then or lose it. Noooooooo
@lulam13 I’m so glad you mentioned that, I had no idea that pregnancy could cause it or make it more pronounced!! I’m a tattoo artist, so I thought maybe I’ve been overdoing it somehow bc my wrist has been killing me this week! I’ve never needed a brace for it before but with the rain for days and apparently being pregnant, I had to get one
@bunniecee I didn’t either but got it last time and was shocked! Just another weird pregnancy symptom. You poor thing! I bet you are exhausted on top of it. Hopefully you can find a good brace to help.
@lulam13 I have been totally exhausted! And then sleeping for more than a few hours at a time has been impossible and coffee tastes awful to me right now so it’s been a tough week. The wrist brace is helping but I can only really use it at night. I hope you’re holding up as well!
@bunniecee I am doing the best I can, thank you! I have an acupuncture appointment coming up that I’m hopeful will ease the severity of symptoms. It did wonders for my last pregnancy 🤞
Hey everyone. Well I found out last week when I was 2 days late 🙃 😅. To say it was a complete shock is the least of things. EDD 12/13/2022 pre-ultrsound appt. So far no real cravings. But I don't get thirsty or hungry at all really. I take my Boyfriend to work (we have 1 car at the moment) early in the am. So when I get back I just get more sleep. But my pants officially don't fit, and my boobs are getting noticeably bigger. I'm having a tough time finding maternity clothes because I'm already plus size. Also, has anyone gotten a rash? I just popped up with one out of nowhere. I see the OB today so I'm letting them know whats up.
Hi everyone, my due date is 12/12. First pregnancy so don't know what to expect. I'm mostly just exhausted, mild cramping, TERRIBLE gassiness at night (I can't stop burping). My boobs are already huge. I'm thirsty all the time. My appetite is not great but I'm not nauseous; just food seems very blah to me (and I normally LOVE eating). Insomnia at night.
But I also kinda feel like it's nothing THAT intense that I worry everyday I'm not *still* pregnant. I still take a test everyday to make sure my HCG levels are rising! I'm older (almost 40) so I'm really paranoid this one won't "stick".
No major symptoms over here yet (5 wk 6 days), but a few small things. The weirdest thing is that if I haven’t eaten in awhile, I get hypersalivation almost like I’m about to throw up, but with absolutely no nausea. Eating makes it stop. I’ll take it over feeling nauseous too for now, but it sure is weird. Also some mood swings, and every once in awhile I get a sore area in my breasts for 5-10 min (this happened last pregnancy too - not overall soreness just… sporadic spots of soreness lol).
@bunniecee it depends. I will say during the session I feel so amazing and pain/nausea free that I fall asleep. I usually go once or twice a week. At first it’ll only help for a day or two but the longer I go the longer it works. So I’ll end up needing to go like every other week after a few weeks and it seems to really help. My acupuncturist will also leave a very small pin or pressure point inducing sticker on my body (like my ear) so I can stimulate for nausea or pain in between sessions. That also helps a lot!

Its gonna be okay. Im in my 30s but I'm high risk. I have a soda stream and I seem to drink that a bit more. Try some fizzy water. It just might help. Im not really hungry either and all doctors tell me to do is snack throughout the day. Its helping keep energy for me. Hope this helps. Ps, im also ripping pretty well at night also.
Honestly, all of this is so normal. I have been super worried—mostly because I haven’t had a lot of morning sickness—and this is my second…needless to say, those symptoms showed up in time.
My doc put me on pantoprazole for heart burn, which is safe when pregnant and breastfeeding. It's been a godsend!
I've been extremely gassy with gas pains at night keeping me from falling asleep. I haven't been able to keep beef down and I've been extremely tired. My boobs are sore, but I'm also on estrogen and progesterone.
I too am rather anxious about symptoms because I miscarried last time. My breasts are a lot less sore than last pregnancy but I'm more tired this time and so thirsty. I wish I could fast forward through 1st trimester.
I’ve known I’m pregnant for two weeks now. Prior to knowing I was a medical marijuana user. Don’t worry, I immediately quit. However, for some reason last night I felt super anxious and depressed and all I craved was weed. It was really hard to get through and I was surprised it took that long for me to miss it. I decided to just go to sleep so I didn’t have to feel so blah. Went to work out today and I feel much better. Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone else is In the same situation. We talk about drinking a lot, but for some reason this is still so taboo. I don’t drink much so that wasn’t an issue. Anyone have any advice for if I feel this way again. I need to ease my anxiety naturally and working out at 9pm isn’t really an option.
@jelliebeen27 I’m sorry you are going through a rough transition. Totally changing your lifestyle in a moment is really overwhelming! I definitely recommend downloading and using the Headspace app. It worked wonders for me during my first pregnancy. Seriously the deep breathing exercises put me right to sleep and actually helped during labor and when my baby was born. I think the sound of my breathing really calmed her. She’s almost two now and I’m teaching her the same techniques and it really helps when she’s having a hard time.
On another note, once the nausea hits you may really have an aversion. I always loved the smell but as soon as the horrible nausea took over I couldn’t even think about it without gagging lol! I know it’s not the best, but I think your body will adapt and adjust in time. You got this!
I hit week 6 this week and suddenly it’s like strong food smells cause nausea. I grabbed some takeout for my toddler and I almost threw up driving home. I made a stew (which was delicious) but I felt off while it cooked for those few hours. Last night, we had grilled steak and grilled vegetables - it was so good and so satisfying but I got nauseous mid-meal. I found that I could fix the nausea by switching from plain water to bubbly water while eating and eating very slowly. It’s annoying but manageable. I hope it doesn’t get worse. 😂
@lulam13 thank you for the kind words. It was just that day for some reason. I imagine it’ll happen a few more times. I actually think I’m gonna give my therapist a call and let her know I might be needing her through this. And you’re right, the breathing helps me. I love meditation and I think that’s going to help too. I’ve dealt with these feelings my whole life so I feel confident I can guide my child through their feelings now that I know how to tackle mine.
I got diagnosed with HG. I have yet to make it back to my classroom and it's coming up on two weeks now. I truly don't know how people get through this. I've been to urgent cares and the ER. Tried multiple meds and no luck so far. I feel immense guilt for both my daughter and my students. Everything seems impossible right now.
@ale4al I got it all figured out. It was shingles.😖 I got meds, and it got better. Found out the dollar store sells oatmeal bath so that was a huge life saver.
