  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 26w4d, 6/23

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: Not for a while. MFM switched from bi-weekly to monthly and no more cervix checks. OB appointment in 3 weeks, then will go bi-weekly.

    How are you feeling?: Weekends get me completely pooped. I am barely functioning on Mondays.

    Rants/Raves: Rant - hips still hurt while sleeping, so comfortable/peaceful sleeping has become nonexistent. To top it off, DD went from an amazing sleeping to waking up in the middle of the night every night out of the blue screaming DADDY on top of her lungs and won't calm down until DH goes in there and she'll then hold him hostage for an hour and won't let him leave. Which turns to more screaming when he tries to leave, me going in there, her brother waking up, and we're all exhausted by morning.
    Rave - We just booked a trip to Florida with our friends very last minute. Since we're not doing a babymoon and this is my absolute last opportunity to travel, we decided to do a family trip with another couple + their 2 kids. I'm nervous to travel (DD has never been on a plane since she was born right before covid hit)...and I'm nervous how I'll handle it flying at 29 weeks. But I'm also excited and looking forward to hopefully relaxing at the beach.

    Questions: Anyone sleeping on both sides or just left? My doctor said sleeping on the left side only is a thing of the past and not to worry sleeping on my right. I tend to alternate sides due to all the hip pain, but there's still a thought wondering why my previous OB was so adamant about only sleeping on my left side post 26 weeks with my first 2 pregnancies.

  • @Tulips29 I start off on the left side but wake up a lot on my back. My DD went on a plane last year. Thankfully, she was good on the plane and also napped.

    Before we left, we watched the Peppa Pig episode where they go on a plane and sing a song about flying, so she remembered that when we were flying.

    I wore compression socks as well.

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: Nothing exciting

    How are you feeling?: pretty good. I noticed about a week ago all the hard kicks have been in my pelvis I thought he was just curled up in a ball but turns out he is now breached. It is so much more uncomfortable to have his head in my ribs.

    Rants/Raves: Rave: baby boys bladder looks fine. The fluid they saw before was just that he needed to pee no more swelling or fluid.

    Questions:

    @tulips i agree with romeoandjuliet146 I think the best thing to do before a flight with a toddler is to get them interested in flying relate to something they like. Also those little reusable sticker books by melissa and doug are super nice for flights we buy new ones and surprise her with them on the flight. My DD doesn't really like tablets and such so this was great for us.
    Also, what I've been told about the sleeping side is that it is technically better to sleep on the left but the right side does not harm you or the baby. I toss in my sleep a lot. I have hip problems too and can't sleep in one position for long so I sleep on both and am just now getting to the point that back sleeping is uncomfortable.

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: appointment on 3/30

    How are you feeling?: still round, but now all I want to do is cry.

    Rants/Raves: think we finally have the name situation squared away.

    Questions: nope :)
  • @Tulips29 Have fun in Florida! A beach trip with another family sounds delightful. As for sleeping, I’m mostly on my back on an adjustable bed but when I do sleep on my side I don’t attempt to favor one side over another. My ob also didn’t seem concerned about sleeping position.
    @ournextadventure Glad to hear everything is looking ok with his bladder!
    @marionberry19 Round and weepy is a very relatable mood.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: June 25th, 26w2d

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: glucose test on Wednesday

    How are you feeling?: I seem to have strained something in my core and am in a considerable amount of pain since I woke up yesterday. Called the ob office today because the pain is significantly worse than yesterday, but they’re still leaning towards RLP. They’re probably right, but DH is freaking out and wanted me to check.

    Rants/Raves: The kid has been moving A LOT since Saturday. No idea if that’s a good or bad sign. I thought it was a good sign but after being on day two of abdominal pain now I’m getting nervous. Realistically it’s just strong enough I can feel it more consistently now.

    Baby shower drama has been a nightmare. I wish I could call off the whole thing but DH is really excited about it. I just hope it all goes ok.

    Questions: Has anyone else lost their appetite? I have no interest in eating and I feel terrible after. It’s not a craving/aversion thing. I just don’t feel like eating.
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 29 weeks on Wednesday 6/8 EDD

    FTM/STM/TTM+: Third

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: Nothing for a few weeks.  Had my GD test a little over a week ago and passed.

    How are you feeling?:  I'm getting raging pubic bone pain/SPD/lightning crotch something.  Idk but it's so awful. It's hard to walk frequently throughout the day.  Feeling huge.

    Rants/Raves: Rant about whatever this weird, sharp, intense pain is when I try to walk.  It's miserable.  I can barely shuffle along when it's at it's worst.

    Rave- we finally decided on a name and ordered a sign. Maren Kate!

    Rant/Rave: I thought this was just a chill kid who was curled up tight in my right pelvis.  Had never felt her move outside of that tiny right corner.  Nope, turns out my hips were super out of place and she just couldn't really get around.  A visit to my chiro and now there are strong kicks all over the place like she's living her best life.

    Questions: None

    @Tulips29 That sounds exhausting.  Our 3yo isn't sleeping well at night and it's taking a toll on us too.  I'm sleeping on both sides and sometimes my back.

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: nothing until middle of next month

    How are you feeling?: large. Like a lava lamp, I can feel the baby slowly sloshing from one side to the other as I rotate which side I’m laying in.

    Rants/Raves: Rant - the new breast pump I want to buy isn’t carried locally because it’s not fully covered by my insurance. Blah. It’ll be fine, just irritating. Rave - Kate Quinn had (and I think still does) her website on sale so I spent too much money on baby clothes.

    Questions: has anyone gotten their prescriptions for a pump yet? I’m wondering if I should ask for a prescription early if they’re having supply chain issues right now.

    @Tulips29 I sleep on both sides. I rotate all night like a rotisserie chicken. 😆

    @ournextadventure yay for a good bladder/ultrasound!!

    @pinkkillersheep saaaame on the food front. I have to sort of constantly graze because if I eat a normal size meal I feel awful.

    @bww_0331 that’s a beautiful name! Congratulations!

    FTM/STM/TTM+: if STM means second time mom 🙋‍♀️

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: this Thursday.

    How are you feeling?: Tired ALL THE TIME!
    My back hips and tailbone hurt so bad and it worries me that I still have 13 more weeks to go. I just want some rest and relief

    Rants/Raves: I can't decide on a name, it's sooo hard. Our first son is LeAire John pronounced Lee-Air and that was easy to choose it's DHs name but now baby boy #2 and we can't decide on any names which makes me a bit sad TBH because I want to start calling him by his name and he doesn't have one.

    Questions: if anyone's sleeping good tell me what's your secret??

    @fluteling
    I haven't gotten my pump RX yet, but I'll be asking now that you've mentioned supply chains issues

    @ournextadventure
    PTL on the good report 🙌

    @bww_0331
    I am encouraged to hear about your chrio adjustment, I think that's what I need.

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: OB appt Friday, find out my glucose results 😬

    How are you feeling?: thankfully good for the most part!

    Rants/Raves: had the best low key birthday with my family, didn’t have to do a thing but eat and enjoy!

    Questions: anyone else feeling soreness in the inner thighs area??

    @Tulips29 I sleep on both sides. I start off on my left, but I switch to my right side as that feels most confortable for me. Enjoy your trip ☺️

    @ournextadventure glad everything is good with baby ☺️

    @pinkkillersheep I have also somewhat lost my appetite. I have noticed that I can’t eat 3 meals anymore, I get so full with breakfast, that I don’t feel like eating until dinner. Sometimes I do force my self to eat something small just cus I feel so guilty skipping a meal

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: MFM on Thursday, just a growth check. According to Doc Google my blood panel last week says no diabetes, I'll find out from my OB next week.

    How are you feeling?: Just got over a cold L1 brought back from daycare. She had her 24 month checkup and is underweight, so that's a whole extra bevvy of doctors appointments to plan for.
    Puked my guts out at like 2 this morning. I can't tell if it's morning sickness, or if it's just my organs having no room to function anymore. My first pregnancy was so much easier than this one.

    Rants/Raves: It's getting really hard to balance work and medical. At least we're starting to have nice weather, and the nursery setup part of baby prep is a nice destraction. We're going with a space theme.

    Re: Sleeping on sides, I start on my left but end up on my right. I don't think it truly matters. It's getting a lot harder to breathe when I inevitably flop over to my back, which has resulted in some fun mornings.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: 4th

    Upcoming Appointments or Results:  Need to get my glucose test done. I have no time.

    How are you feeling?:  Still coughing, still have sore ribs.  I did the same thing to my right side that I did to the left only not as bad.  This time it was already sore from coughing and favoring that side when I went to get up off the floor and hurt it.  I feel so old.  Pregnancy wise still pretty good but large.

    Rants/Raves: Several rants: I wrote up my whole post, and tagged and responded to everyone on my phone yesterday.  I hit something and lost the whole thing ugh.  Everyone is sick per the usual.  So tired of it. I was really hoping all my obsessive sanitizing would keep this stomach bug contained but DD2 caught it.  I'm really hoping I can dodge this bullet.  I work for a health insurance company and we had auditors come in.  They sent out letters telling us that we need to prove our dependents are actually dependents, ie birth cert, marriage cert, etc. and if we don't provide it their coverage will be dropped.  We only have DD1's birth certificate so now I need to find the time to drive 40 mins during the middle of the day to the town hall where we used to live to get DD2's. This is what I get for not being a responsible adult.

    Questions: Nope

    @Tulips29 Sorry you're having sleep issues! Hopefully it's just a developmental thing and will pass quickly.  I'm so jealous of your vacation!

    @ournextadventure I'm glad you got good news on the baby's bladder!

    @pinkkillersheep Ugh, I'm so sorry you're having abdominal pain.  It sucks.  And you don't realize how much you actually use your core until something like that happens and every tiny movement is so painful.  I hope you feel better soon.

    @fluteling at my last appointment they put in my order for a new breast pump but I have yet to do anything about it.  I've always used the Medela In Style Advanced, but after reading the breast pump post I'm rethinking.  My only hang up is I already have everything, like the right size shields, bottles, accessories.  I don't want to start from square one.

    Aaaaand I caught the stomach bug. At least I’m getting it over with.  :s
  • @kfrob i'm so sorry your going through such a hard time. Hoping it passes quickly.
  • @KFrob Hope you all get better soon!

    @mamaheidy2  Happy belated birthday!

    Upcoming Appointments or Results: Got an ultrasound today, Glucose test and Tdap shot

    How are you feeling?: Acid reflux, tired, sciatica, nosebleeds sometimes

    Rants/Raves: Glad I got this long appointment over with and that the orange glucose drink just tasted like orange crush. Ended up seeing what I weigh!

    Questions
  • KFrobKFrob member
    @ournextadventure and @romeoandjuliet146 thank you! I’m officially starving so hopefully that’s good news that it’s passing quickly.

    @romeoandjuliet146 sorry you’re dealing with some sucky symptoms!  I’m glad you didn’t mind the glucose test drink. It makes me want to barf.
  • @pinkkillersheep How was your appointment today?
  • @romeoandjuliet146 Everything was normal, as expected. I screwed up and didn’t realize I was supposed to separately schedule the glucose test so now that’s three weeks from now, which I assume is fine? I ended up going to the L&D ER on Monday because I got sufficiently freaked out by the pain and of course everything was fine.

    @bww_0331 Love the name! Sorry to hear you’re struggling with mystery pain too. It’s really awful. Hopefully you find some relief soon.

    @fluteling I feel ridiculous saying this but I didn’t realize you’re supposed to get a prescription for a breast pump until you asked that, so no I have not lol.

    @boymomjune22 I haven’t really felt inspired by boy names (we don’t know the sex) either. We’ve got something more or less picked out but haven’t talked about it again to confirm. No good suggestions on sleeping here. I wake up somewhere between 3 and 5 and it’s a total crapshoot whether I can fall back asleep.

    @mamaheidy2 Happy belated birthday! No inner thigh pain here. It’s been all mid to lower abdominal for me.

    @mauvelousone Sorry to hear you have so much stress between work and family and just general feeling rough physically. Glad you have the distraction of nursery planning. A space theme sounds wonderful 😊

    @KFrob Nooooooo I feel like you’ve had way more than your fair share of sickness. Hope you feel better soon.
  • KFrobKFrob member
    @pinkkillersheep I’m so glad everything was okay! I hope you’re feeling better. It feels like everyone in my house has been sick for months.  It’s really burning me out.  It’s like they eased up on the Covid restrictions and my kids’ immune systems weren’t prepared. And of course with my terrible pregnancy immune system and being the primary person in charge of child care in my house I always catch it.
  • Thanks for all the feedback on plane tips and sleeping positions! :smile:

    @marionberry19 I have days when I just cry at anything and everything so I feel ya on that one. And feeling rounder by the day here as well.

    @pinkkillersheep I have days where I want to eat but nothing sounds exciting and then most days I just eat anything and everything and still don't feel satisfied.

    @bww_0331 ouch, the pain doesn't sound pleasant. Can the doc recommend anything to make it better?

    @fluteling I never needed a prescription for a pump, but maybe it depends on insurance? I ordered mine the previous 2 times through aeroflowbreastpumps.com. You fill in your insurance information and they show you what you qualify for. Their customer service is great too and if your insurance allows for replacement parts, they will automatically send them to you every few months. I already submitted a pre-qualification request to them earlier so I plan to order through them again once I decide which one to get.

    @boymomjune22 sounds like pain and discomfort is a common theme for many of us. I hope you feel better soon and can settle on a name!

    @mamaheidy2 happy belated birthday! Sounds like it was a lovely one! I don't have inner hip soreness, just outer when I sleep/wake up.

    @mauvelousone sorry you've had to deal with all that and hopefully are feeling better! Nursery design sounds so fun!

    @KFrob I'm sorry you're dealing with all that! The sickness is the worst, especially when you also catch it from the kids and are expected to function as a parent. I hope you can get some relief soon!

    This week has been rough guys. I'm ready to end it. I've been feeling extra tired last few days. Then the other night my 5 yo woke up in the middle of the night, came over to our bedroom to say his tummy hurts and proceeded to puke all over our room, so that was fun. Luckily he was over it quickly and it was a one time thing, so no clue what caused it. DD had 1 good night of sleep this entire week, the rest of the days she's waking up randomly and screaming her head off calling for either me or daddy and won't let us leave the room. Tonight was the worst of it. She woke up at 2:30 am and wouldn't calm down until almost 4! Just kept screaming she wants to sleep with us, then to sit with her, to sing her a song, to sit with her some more, etc. DS was pissed so he went to sleep in the nursery since we still have the toddler bed in there. DD slept for 30 mins before she woke up screaming again at 4:30 am. Then again at 6 am. I'm exhausted ya'll! DH and I didn't sleep through the entire ordeal and I don't know how to deal with this longer. I know it takes time, DS had this as well, but man...going through it while pregnant and already super tired is the worst. I've also been feeling super overwhelmed with work and the sleep depravation is making my brain foggy so I don't feel I'm functioning at 100% during the day, which makes me even more overwhelmed that I'll fall behind on projects. :dizzy:
