Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling kind of hopeful because of starting the letrozole, but trying to be realistic.

Rant/Rave? It is beautiful outside! I took a walk at lunch with a friend and am loving the spring weather. Enjoyed lots of outside time with DD this weekend and I'm glad we're entering the time of year when we can do that more often and stay outside longer.

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring? No plans for spring break (since that isn't really a thing for us yet), but we're heading to the beach for a few days in May and I am really excited about that!

@abjm0325 I love when it's nice enough to play outside! My little guy would stay outside all day if we let him, so it's nice to be out there.

Rant/Rave? DS' behavior is slowly getting better. He is sort of switching to include a timeout in his bedtime routine now which I have to ask the Dr about at our follow up this week. We are getting better at being able to tell when DS is going to start misbehaving so we are getting better at redirecting. Now to just get through the bedtime struggle and we should be okay.

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring? Nothing for spring break but FL the first week in May. Going to stay at my Aunts and do some days at Universal, and we are all really looking forward to it.

Rant/Rave?  I am so irritated that I am waiting for all of the blood results and they ran so so so many when it is possible that just the one that showed my Protein C and S all funky could have been enough. 

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring? We were supposed to go on a cruise and that isn't happening. We might try an indoor waterpark. We may do nothing.

@abjm0325 yes! So happy! We were at the park for almost four hours on Saturday haha. 

@tessiesmom26 my son loved anything “surprise” at that age. Mashems were a huge hit. And action figures.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Excited to get back into the TTC game. Punched my estimate due date into the calculator for if it were to happen immediately (unlikely) though and it’s basically Christmas. I feel like I don’t care but having another kiddo at home throws a wrench in that a bit lol. It would be fine. Just a little stressful probably haha.

Any questions? Anyone already have a decently big age gap between kiddos or with your siblings? Ours would be about six/ maybe closer to seven years depending on how long it takes us. My sister and I are 5.5 apart. It seemed like a lot growing up but now we are really close. Interested to hear others experiences. 

Rant/Rave? I have had a terrible headache all day. I’m a headache person. Have gotten them my whole life. This one is pretty bad. It stinks bc it’s so nice out and I came home from work and went right to bed. Just woke up from about a 20 minute nap. 

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring? Nothing for spring but we have a ten day cruise scheduled for June. 👏🏻

@tessiesmom26 A trip to Universal sounds like a lot of fun. At that age bubbles and any kind of little toy were big hits with my kids.

@mambo5-2 I'm frustrated on both counts for you. I'm sorry about the cruise and I hope you hear something from you doctor soon. 

@ReadyForaB I did the same calculation ans when I told MH about a possible December baby he groaned. My MIL is 12/25, I'm 12/28, and DS is 1/1 so it's already a bit crowded. My sister and I were really close in age but my grandmother had 7 kids with some significant age gaps in between some of them and my mom is close with all her siblings. That gives me hope because if I conceive this year I'm looking at 10 and 8 year age gaps from my first two. Hope your headache clears too, I get migraines that knock me on my ass from time to time.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling pretty good about it so far. Timing wasn't as good as I had hoped for because of UTI that hit me on O day, but we got some action in right before.

Rant/Rave? I am dead tired this week and it hasn't even really started... I work Tuesday to Saturday. But in addition to work the kids extracurriculars are heavily packed this week (I'm checking in from my car while I wait for DS's karate class) and there's a birthday party on Saturday. I can normally handle it, but it just feels like a lot this week for some reason. DH is a stay at home dad because of some health issues that hit him after he recovered from covid in 2020. He's been working with his doctors and has improved a lot, and has been able to take care of the house and kids for almost a year now. But the bulk of the out of the house stuff has to be done by me.

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring No spring break plans. Saving up for Legoland this summer.

@portentosa The activities give me a little bit of anxiety when thinking about adding a kiddo.  My son is involved in so much. (plays a sport almost every season, baseball, basketball, soccer and then also does karate year around).  It's going to be an adjustment having a baby to take to everything.  My husband works nights and weekends so these things fall on me 100% of the time. Obviously, I will make it work but I get stressed when I think about it.

@tessiesmom26 My DD’s Easter basket will have a book, socks, a candy necklace, stickers, and a little stuffed chick. It is a great time to include outdoor things too if he needs anything restocked (chalk, bubbles, balls, hat, etc.). I’m glad you’re seeing an improvement in behavior! Some of those phases are so hard.

@mambo5-2 I’m sorry your spring break plans got cancelled! Hopefully you all can find something fun to do.

@ReadyForaB I’m not thrilled with a possible December due date either, but definitely not sitting out a cycle because of it. There are 6 years between my brother and I (with a sister in between). It felt like a lot when we were little, but there were definite advantages to having a sibling that was older! My sister and I are four years apart and are super close and have been since high school.

@portentosa Extracurriculars can be exhausting! I hope you find some pockets of time to rest this week. Legoland sounds like it would be so much fun!

@ReadyForaB my middle kiddo is a very gifted gymnast, we are in the gym 4 days a week with her. And I'm like uh, with IVF and preterm delivery because I don't carry to term I'm looking at delivery right during gymnastics season right now.

@tessiesmom26 I'm so glad to hear that things are improving with your DS's behavior. I hope this is a consistent change for you moving forward.
@mambo5-2 I really hope you get those results back soon. It feels like it's been forever and they're not even my results!
@ReadyForaB My bro and I are 5.5 years apart and we basically didn't hang much when we were kids (what 16-year-old wants to hang with a 10.5-year-old?) but we're close now. One benefit of the age gap was that we were never really competing with each other so that helped with not having rivalry growing up. If I manage to have another kid, it will be a minimum 9 and 6 year gap so my hope is they will be able to help with the baby pretty soon and be old enough not to resent it too much (wishful thinking). My DS's BFF has an older sister (5.5-year gap) who can babysit them now which is pretty excellent.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I find it annoying that FF says 'Low' when the chances are actually Zero. SO is on a ship for nearly another month so I'm out these two cycles.

Rant/Rave? The weather is finally better here! Actual spring with sun and warmth!! I hope it lasts, it's been a really grey winter. Another rave - I feel like my house is at a good place and my routine is improving which makes me really happy. Rant & rave, my new kitten got out when the plumber was here yesterday. I noticed about half an hour after he left and I was outside calling and shaking food and talking to all the neighbors. Then at 7:30 she waltzes back into the house and starts scratching the couch (I'd left the door open for her). I have never been so happy to hear that sound 😂 At least I know now that the little rascal knows where home is

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring? We are going back to the US to visit my family! The kids haven't seen most of them since August so I'm really looking forward to it. However, I'm procrastinating on the itinerary and I need to get on that!

@tessiesmom26 I use Easter baskets as an opportunity for things the kids need for spring + summer - new shoes, bubbles, chalk art, a bathing suit, etc. I usually skip stuffed animals because dear god we have enough already.

@ReadyForaB I've been thinking the same thing this cycle re:Christmas. It's hard because it feels stupid in some ways, but also - thats kind of a logistical nightmare gift-wise, party-wise, etc, at least for me. I'm sure it would be fine but you're not alone in these thoughts!

@portentosaI feel you. This week has been super draining already. Birthday parties always make me groan, for whatever reason they just seem so unappealing to me. OMG that reminds me, DD has a birthday party on Sunday I need a gift for!!! Crap, thank you lol.

@Paturkey thats so stressful with your kitty!! My dog did this once, and I did the same thing with shaking the food outside Glad he made it back safe and sound, I feel like cats are much smarter about this. I'm 99.9% confident my dog would NOT have just waltzed back to our house if we hadn't found her lol.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Really trying to look at this cycle differently. The past two I had put so much pressure on myself and this time I'm trying to be more zen. Mostly just trying to focus on integrating better lifestyle choices.

Any questions? Does anyone else ever have phantom pregnancy symptoms - feeling kicks, etc? This happens to me quite often, but now that I am TTC, it's just a punch in the gut feeling those little flutters. I'm sure it's just me being more aware of my body, but it sucks.

Rant/Rave? My parents decided to let us know on Saturday that they are flying in for DS's birthday and arriving today. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled, but the zero notice of it all is honestly so frustrating for me. I have to plan out cleaning so far in advance  each day leaves next to no time to do it. In the process we also have to kick DH's parents to a hotel because they're only staying for one night...super awkward for me because relations between our families aren't the greatest right now.  

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring? Literally anything outside. But most excited for our cabin to open up so we can go to the lake!! Cannot wait for warm weather. It's still entirely too cold here.

@mrsmtothek a logistic nightmare is the perfect way to put it ! Especially because we make SUCH a big deal over our son’s birthday. Two separate parties (one for family one for friends) plus we always both take the actual day off work to do something special with him. It’s a week long celebration lol. I would hate to not have that with another child and Christmas would make that really hard. I guess we could always just push the parties out a bit. But it just doesn’t seem the same haha. My husband thinks I’m silly for worrying about it but I kinda am. 😬 not enough to sit a cycle out though haha.

DD had parainfluenza and croup last week, and now I am sick and feeling like death that has been reheated one too many times. Hopefully I can come back and do tags and a real update later!

GTKY: What are you doing for spring break or do you have planned with your family for this spring? My little guy doesn't have spring break yet but we're going to MI in May with DH's BFF, his wife (I like her), and their 2 kids. I'm excited! Found a great, affordable VRBO there.

@mrsmtothek I’ve had phantom kicks since my son was born in 2016, it still freaks me out. I had an IUD until a few weeks ago and there were several times I took pregnancy tests with the IUD because I was freaked out I might have gotten pregnant and not known since I didn’t have periods during that time. 

@ReadyForaB my brother and I are four years apart and I think it was a good gap for us growing up. My younger sisters are 14 and 24 years younger than me so those relationships are obviously very different. If I get pregnant soon we will have around a 6.5 year gap.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I’m hopeful ovulation is imminent! If I take the two days of light bleeding last week as my first post IUD period then today is CD11, OPKs are getting darker every day. I told MH to just plan on having sex every day for the next week to be sure. He did not oppose this strategy. 

Any questions? Anyone else have trouble staying…grounded? I have to keep reminding myself that I am not pregnant and it could take longer than I want or could not happen but then I find myself shopping for baby things and clearing out the spare room to turn into a nursery. 

Rant/Rave? Rant: I am so ready for consistently nice weather. I don’t need full on summer yet, just more regular sunshine please. Rave: we haven’t told our son we’re explicitly trying to have another baby but he’s just so smart. I caved and bought a tiny cute little outfit the other day and he found it in the bag later and said “mom, I don’t think this will fit me…..oh you probably bought it just in case you decide we should have another baby in our family”. Then later he was cleaning his room and made a box of toys he didn’t play with anymore and  he said I should save them “just in case I have a brother or sister someday. Hopefully two sisters!”
