Could I be pregnant with twins??!

Hello everyone! I am new to the group. So enjoying seeing what all of the October mamas are saying, and looking over ultrasound pictures. I’m so excited to be in this journey with you! This is my first pregnancy. I had blood work done on Tuesday, and the results came back yesterday. The midwife said that my hCG levels are way higher than expected for seven weeks pregnant. She said this could mean our dates are off, or there are multiples! I know 100% when the date of my last period was. Has anyone else tested really high in hCG and only had one baby? We are getting an ultrasound this coming Tuesday to see what we have going on. I’m so excited!!!

@ivansgirl1 hi and welcome! We would love to get to know you, so you’re welcome to do an intro on the Introductions thread. This would be a great post for The Great Big Question thread. We try to avoid one-off threads to help keep the board organized. 

There is a huge variance in HCG ranges for singleton and multiples pregnancies, so it’s really just speculation til the ultrasound. My singleton pregnancy had a very high initial HCG read this time around, but it’s certainly possible!
