Re: FFFC 3.18

  • My landlord decided without any real notice to get a property management company after 4 years of us living here. He only told me because I need my tub fixed again (recurring issue). Now he's getting really pissy with me because MY TUB IS LITERALLY NOT DRAINING and I'm having a hard time getting a hold of the new company and don't have an account or anything yet.

Well guess what. There is a laundry list of things he either hasn't fixed, has half fixed, or that I just haven't asked him to fix in this apartment. Because I enjoyed the arrangement we had (where he left us alone and would just send me a phone number if something really did need to get fixed. I haven't seen him since we moved in). Now I'm going to submit all this crap to actually get fixed and he can pay for it and I feel no guilt whatsoever.
I was even going to fix some stuff myself but not anymore. He shoved us off on some big company without any warning or pretense and now he doesn't want to deal with it. So he can pay for it.

  • @tuxielove93 do it!!!! I wonder if he's got multiple properties and it's become too much for him to handle on his own and that's why he's hired this property management company?

  • @tuxielove93 I would do that too!

I’ve spent a ton of time in bed today. I took PTO today because I needed to burn it or I wouldn’t accrue more. I called into a couple meetings and outside of that I’ve been trying to get a good nap in but haven’t been able to sleep. I’m so tired today!
  • I'm all stuffed up right now and I'm sure it's just allergies because I've been testing negative but I secretly kind of hope it's COVID just so I have it over and done with. My biggest fear right now is getting COVID right before my friend gives birth to my son and then I won't be able to have those first moments with him.
  • @peppylilfoxy genius!!

    hope you feel better!
  • @inthewoods23 I honestly have no idea. I think he does have maybe 4-5 properties but he is seriously the laziest landlord ever. He doesn’t do jack. I’ve never seen him. I call all the companies to make the apts to get stuf fixed and it’s not that often anyways. And I never see repair vans here so it isn’t like the other tenants are asking for stuff all the time too. I Zelle him rent every month now too! Right into his bank account.

He literally just texts me a phone number and pays a bill. It’s beyond me why he would choose to lose thousands or whatever it costs to have a management company when he doesn’t manage crap. Maybe other people have been a headache, idk. But it’s not my fault he didn’t freaking tell me. I now have to go through a whole new system I don’t have access to. And he didn’t tell me until after I texted him to get the tub fixed. And it’s unusable so I can’t wait days for this problem to get fixed. I’m just so frustrated with it.
