  • The feels when I'm not pregnant but in a pregnancy group... At least I was honest about it 😂🤷🏼‍♀️. I mean, I am still technically "expecting"...
  • @wigglyicecream oh yes, I was around for that chick too 😬

@peppylilfoxy lol! It'll get a lot less awkward soon!

  • @peppylilfoxy although you’re not physically pregnant you are expecting (I’ve been following your story and have been rooting for you) so I think that’s significantly different than lying about being pregnant. You have a GC who can relay all of those symptoms and experiences as well as remembering from past pregnancies. That was NO WAY directed towards you. Truth be told your story with the GC and her constant trips to the ED bc of her sch and the bleeding gave me hope while I was experiencing my bleeding from the same thing.
  • I was going to say, definitely not the same thing at all @peppylilfoxy!  You are expecting a baby in July.  You being here makes complete sense!

Lmao, I know it's not the same thing. I was just laughing because some people are pretending to be pregnant in groups for some reason and here I was like "heads up! I'm not preggo but I swear I will have a kid soon. Please be my mom friends!" Hahahaha. 🤣

@wigglyicecream I'm glad our experience was able to give you some hope. 💕
  • We had a weird catfish thing in one of my previous bump groups, or at least I remember a crazy catfish story happening during that time from one of the boards. For the life of me I can't remember the whole story, but
it got really late before she was finally found out.

  • @wigglyicecream oh dang! I heard through the grapevine that you guys were struggling with weirdos and catfish more so than some other BMBs - so weird. I'm glad you guys moved over so that you don't have to deal with that drama haha. I miss the Moms of Multiples thread though because there were so many of them there!

Best of luck to you and you guys in Aug ❤
  • @jellie603 we truly were. I don’t remember having these many in my last bmb. I’m starting to think somebody was specifically trolling us because now that we are private there’s almost no issues with the public board. Remind me are you one of the few here with multiples?
  • @wigglyicecream yes I am - spontaneous twins for us.
  • @jellie603 if you want I can ask the group if we can add you to our PG so you can have some support from our MOMs. I think everyone could benefit from having extra support
  • @wigglyicecream thank you I appreciate that! I will definitely be joining my July ladies in a PG. So if I am allowed to be in both, that is cool. But if not, I will wish everyone the best from afar haha. August would be pushing it for me as I will either be a June or July mom because multiples definitely do not come late!
  • @inthewoods23 Yes!!! How in the world do you compare a baby's size to a waffle maker? 🤔 😂
  • @velvetblue88 the only explanation I can come up with is that they have comparisons for how tall baby is and then probably the volume or area baby takes up when curled up in the womb.

Things got more confusing when they started doing the comparisons based on head to toe instead of head to rump!

  • @jellie603 our MOMs would love to have you if you’re up for participating in both groups.
  • I am down for a private group! I'm not a catfish, but SUPER privacy sensitive as that's been drilled into me. Is there a way I could do it with my bump in the picture but not my face? I'll happily hold up a specific object (though some things are hard to come by because I am overseas.) Like I will totally tape Ryan Reynolds to my face or put a cloth diaper on my head or something, just super privacy sensitive until I am really really sure I know people. I don't even FB friend people I haven't vetted :p
  • Also, I am outside the US but still American 😅 so I am fine with July 4th if we go with that. I read the pages out of order and kind of skimmed, so hopefully I hit all the boxes. I swear I am not new, just a lurker and too privacy sensitive to post. I've been here since November, though :p I would definitely feel more comfortable in a private group
  • I would love to be a part of the private group! I mostly lurk on here cause there's is just so much going on I don't know where to jump in 😅 Also the privacy thing, I would definitely come out of my shell more in a private group. I am in a generic mom group on Facebook and love the sense of community, but a July 2022 moms group would be the best 😎

  • Just posing the question because I have no freaking clue how long the "create group" button is going to be a problem...

Is anyone up for jumping to some other platform now rather than waiting to have a TB private group made? I know we have a couple people that don't use FB so I'd rather we not jump to that for the time being. Discord might not be a bad idea because we can have our TB usernames as our display name so we'd still have the name privacy for those that want it while others can include their names (plus TB usernames) as their Discord display name. I'm not familiar with any other private group options outside TB, FB, and Discord.

  • I’m game to jump to discord. My husband has been using it for years so he can help me figure it out if it’s complicated 🤣 I technically have a Facebook but I try to avoid it so another platform would be great

  • I'd be down for discord. I have two accounts - one I use for gaming and one I use for the university research group that monitors my dog's button pushing (which is the account I am most active on) so you'd have to change my display name for me as an admin otherwise I'd be "Stéphanie and Drake" ... Don't want people to start confusing my dog and my son's names 🤣
  • I use Discord with my IRL friends all the time so that works for me! The different channels can serve as our different threads.
  • I prefer Facebook groups, because I'm always on Facebook for homesteading stuff. I've totally been MIA here. We're drowning in animal babies right now on our little farm. 😅
  • I have heard of Discord but have no clue what it actually is 😂. I'll join and figure it out if I need to though haha! Count me out as an admin there however, since I have no clue how to use it - oops!
  • I haven't used Discord, but my husband does so I am sure I could learn. Is there a phone app for it as well, or is it only able to be used on a desktop/laptop? I know now I am on the computer often, but once baby comes I definitely use my phone more vs. sitting down at an actual computer, so that is something to consider!

@courtneyqdk there is definitely a phone app

i can admin on discord. I haven’t used it, but my husband is on it all the time so he can help me figure out anything if need be.

  • I’m ok with discord, especially since there’s a mobile app. Besides, it’s got to be more user friendly than TB! 😜
  • I haven’t heard of discord, but I’m down for that. I go on FB breaks often so I prefer somewhere else.
  • My husband uses discord so I should be able to figure it out with his help 😅
  • Come on ladies, we're strong independent women. We don't need our husbands to figure out Discord 😂

JK I will definitely be asking DH to help me set up our Discord so it's organized nicely because I've only ever joined various servers and never created one. And as @creativesoul63 said, our usual threads would act as the channels on the server so again you have 1 place for posting any ultrasounds or questions. Although maybe we should break up different question topics so it's easier to find questions?

I know you can set up some kind of vetting process before people have access to everything which is where we can have people do a photo or specify a phrase they need to type in to be granted access. I'll have to check what our options are for that.
