So day light savings sucks. I woke up at 6:40 this morning when we're usually up at 6. I tapped my husband to let him know what time it was and to get out of bed, and he asks "Why didn't our alarms go off?" I reminded him that my alarm is sleeping next to me and must be on daylight savings time still, he has no excuse on his inability to set an alarm. So yeah, I got everyone ready and out the door, and my husband actually showered and got ready himself in 20 minutes, which is shorter than the amount of time he usually sits in the bathroom before he starts the shower. To make things worse, I had morning duty this morning and didn't clean the 8 inches off my car from Saturday, and I my snow broom was in my husbands truck and the tailgate was frozen and I couldn't open it so I had to wait for him to come out and pry it open. I think I was only 3 minutes late so I guess that wasn't too bad.
I second your feelings about daylight savings time. We were all dragging this morning, and I snoozed my alarm a couple too many times and ended up having to rush everyone out the door. I hate doing that because the kids being rushed by a frantic mom and not having time to fully wake up themselves can't be a great way to start the day (or week!). Daylight savings time can suckit.
We have a digital clock in our bedroom on our dresser, because I wake up a million times a night and look at what time it is. Well apparently, yesterday when I was changing the time on it, I somehow changed it to military time, so when I woke up in the middle of the night last night and it said like 16:19, you can imagine my sheer confusion and frustration trying to figure out what time it was while I was half asleep
psst.... @jhysmath I think you mean thoughts not thoughs.
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
@mnmomma84 My kids didn't get breakfast this morning because we didn't have time. I sent them to school/daycare with a cup of yogurt. The 1 year old is going to be starving because of this, she usually eats yogurt and cereal or eggs. Hopefully all the snacks I packed her will get her through the day.
@whitta1015 I wear a fitbit watch and make my husband do the same because I can't stand alarm clocks. Especially because my husband is a "snooze" guy and I'm a set it for what time you want to wake up and go person. I can't deal with it. I check my watch often most nights because I haven't been sleeping well, but I didn't last night and just woke up at that time. I think I got good sleep because some how I pushed the 1 year old into the crib and she didn't need to be all over me all night long like normal.
So I've decided to interview for a new job tomorrow. I've never stayed in a job for less than like 3 years (April will be 1 year for this role), but I just can't do it anymore. I really wanted to turn my frustrations into motivation to blow their socks off, but ultimately, I know these are not people I want to spend the rest of my life working for. We are just not the same. ANYWAYSSS, I have an interview tomorrow and I plan to just be honest with them and tell them I'm almost 4 months pregnant and that I'll need time off in September. But I also plan to assure them that I am looking for a long-term career, and that I have sufficient child care on a daily basis. I know I don't legally have to tell them...I'm in HR and will be interviewing for an HR Manager role, but I feel like it's the right thing to do. And they obviously know that I know the laws regarding discrimination. Thoughts?
@whitta1015 I'm in a similar boat! I have been working at my current job for almost 6 months. I found out yesterday that because I won't qualify for FMLA, they'll give me 7 weeks of unpaid leave for maternity leave. I will not settle for less than 12 weeks, so I'm considering looking for a new job now. If offered a job, I'd also be honest and tell them I need 12 weeks off come September, but I feel like that might not make me a great candidate. Stressed!! Good luck with your interview!
@lalarose22 My situation is similar with the maternity leave here too. We don't have a maternity policy and I don't qualify for FMLA either. My boss hasn't even attempted discussing maternity leave with me yet, and no one else has ever had to take it, so I honestly don't know what she would do when it came time. But this company I'm interviewing at has amazing reviews regarding their PTO and benefits, so it can't hurt to go hear what they have to say!
I personally hid my 6.5 month gigantic belly from my interview at this district 2 years ago. I wasn't going to need time off as I would start when school started back up, but didn't want them to have any reason not to select me. My husband and I were both applying for the 2 positions open so we really needed to wow them so we could both end up in the district. My department head, didn't even realize I was pregnant and was super shocked when I asked about pumping rooms when we started saying I had a 3 month old.... My stomach was huge... No idea how I hid it.
@jhysmath That's funny! That's another thing about my current situation. Should I decide to BF/pump, there's literally nowhere I could go except a bathroom and sit on a toilet. Our offices are glass, which I typically love, but that would definitely pose a problem when that time comes. Legally, they're obligated to provide me with somewhere but I just don't know where that would be.
Well, 2 positions opened up near our ny house and my husband is Gung ho for applying for them. I'm frustrated as that means, if we do end up there and they hire us knowing that I'll need 8 weeks off at the beginning of the school year, without banked sick time, that means I lose about $10k from the salary... Which is already about $10k less than I'll make here. He doesn't see this as me losing, because he says we'll just put student loans on hold and he'll cover the extra bills so he'll be losing too. But that puts putting my loans back a year, means I have less going to retirement, I just can't seem to get him to understand this. He just thinks I'm being difficult and keeps saying well we probably won't even both get the job and we'd only go if we both get. I just see the district seeing us again as a great team like our current district did and we'll get hired.
My random thought of the day is how I’m just surprised by everywhere I’ve gained weight. FTM living in the dark before this I guess lol. Had no idea that I would gain weight in my thighs! Getting sturdier on my lower half I guess haha 😆
Weight gain on the thighs shocked me too, @mk2022x! I woke up one day and they were covered in stretch marks & I was like "whaaaat when did this happen?!"
I'm so sorry your husband is being difficult with this too @jhysmath. Do you think his behaviour could be stress related to 3rd baby coming? Does he have anybody that he can talk to? My husband starts nit-picking small things when he is stressed too.
@wiseh definitely stress related. When we went to bed last night he told me our big loan got denied and we'll have to put BIL on it abs the loan person made comments to the fact that we live and work in nh and said so you'll be coming back next year age your wife will be living there?
My thought this morning putting on a pair of maternity pants I haven't worn this pregnancy, wow this pandemic is so long there's a cloth mask in my pocket from my last pregnancy.
@laj0217 yes that too! Also thinking oooo that's where that mask has been. Last year I wore such cute printed masks. This year, just a giant box of disposable ones.
What I wear is based on what work is currently demanding. We started off with "whatever you can find" , then procedure masks, then had to go to N95, then back to procedures, then N95, now it's been KN95 for the past few months and we were just informed last night that unless we are going to be in an isolation or quarantine area, it's now back to procedure mask. I have a drawer filled with hundreds of different kinds at this point lol

So if you've been reading this thread, I think the interview went well. They start you out with 24 days of vacation and 3 floating holidays. And they match 5% on 401K and then just give you an extra 5%. This is unheard of!!! I should hear something by next week
I’m having some very mixed feelings about next school year. All goes well, I’ll come in for maybe a week Or two and then be out until new year’s. I’ve been playing around mentally with trying for introducing new classes but I have no interest when I won’t really be here. ughhhhhhh
(Once again, data is primarily gathered from the introductions and ultrasounds posts, with occasional additions from the weekly updates thread).

7) So far, only one of our active ladies has reported they are having twins (but we do have some inactive ladies with multiples as well).
8) Other factoids:
We have 28 women who have posted more than 2 weeks ago but less than a month ago (8 of these have only posted once).
We have 131 women who have posted more than a month ago (56 of these only posted once).
We have unfortunately also had 8 women who have left us following confirmed losses.
We have 4 women who previously posted but have since deleted their accounts.
We have 1 woman who has since relocated to the October board.
If you don't think I'm accounting for your data (or you want to check), let me know and I'll update my spreadsheet.

What are the odds my 3 year old spills the beans about baby #3 to my sister today while she's watching them? I was going to tell her last night but then decided to wait and see if my daughter would tell her, she never did now I'm wondering if she will at all or if I'll just tell my sister tomorrow when I see the rest of the family ?
Also TMI, but you guys will understand, pretty sure my BM was just like giving birth, so I better start with the stool softeners.
@jhysmath I think my bowel movements are currently worse than giving birth. And the result is much less pleasant.

@kboydbowman I guess there is worse, I'm thankful I'm not there yet. It took me multiple attempts in the bathroom, and not being able to go when you feel you need to as a teacher sucks even more. I had to wait almost 3 hours and then walk across the building so I could go in peace, without students trying to come in a vape in the bathroom with me.
Methinks I'm starting to get the very beginnings of flutters...

Anybody else doing March Madness? I have Duke to win it all. Watching the UNC-Baylor game right now and UNC is stomping the crap out of Baylor (which shouldn't be happening) - I'm here for it since I actually called them to beat Baylor.

Stuck working until 2 today and over it. Especially since the 5 year old can’t comprehend why I’m working. “It’s the weekend! You’re not supposed to be working! Play with me!” Yes kid… I know. 🙄
Ugh, guys. Don’t make the mistake I just did of thinking “hey, I can probably still fit into my swimsuits from last season!” You won’t and it will be a reality check lol.
DH and I are going down to Arizona this week and I only bought a coupe bigger swimsuits thinking I would still be able to fit into some of the ones I had before. NOPE. Between belly and boobs, everything is comically small. 🤦🏼♀️
@mk2022x I just ordered a bunch of maternity ones from Shein. Sure, they'll be crappy quality and won't last but a year or two, but that's enough and they're super cheap.

@mk2022x no don’t say that! I bought one maternity suit on shein (tbd if it’ll work) but the real plan was to just loosen the strings on all the string bikinis. Guess I should go ahead and try them on since beach weather starts next month here. Let the torture commence 😩

Maybe this should have been a Monday BF?
