I haven’t gone through it myself BUT in my last bump group there was a woman who had a short cervix. Like a REALLY short cervix. And she made it full term! So there is definitely hope

@tuxielove93 That does sound promising! Thanks! It’s just the sheer uncertainty that’s super frustrating. Both my OB and Specialist are non-committal.
Today before the Specialist saw me, the technician was like let me see if the baby is kicking out of the cervix. My heart skipped a beat! Plus the baby keeps kicking low these days.
They wanna see me every week to keep a check on things!
I was in that situation two years ago except I didn't know it. I dropped my mucus plug at 22 weeks because I had dilated to 3 or 4 cm (undiagnosed incompetent cervix). They put me on full bedrest in the hospital and I still went into labor 3 days later and had to have my daughter via emergency C-section (the outcome was not good). This time they are doing transvaginal USs every 2 weeks to monitor my cervix length and/or any tunneling and will do a cerclage if needed (I'm only 13 weeks ATM). My doc said it can be done later as long as you're not extremely dilated or your amniotic sac is leaking/broken.

Sorry your in such a uncertain situation. I have a history of incompetence cervix. I have done the suppositories for one pregnancy an the progesterone injections for the other 4. Neither of these methods are currently seen as effective unfortunately so this pregnancy I am doing nothing. Monitored until 20 weeks when the cervix begins to show signs of change and then will take a look maybe once again at 26 or 28 week is the stance we have taken this go round. Other then a cerclage which comes with its own risks the only thing you can really do is moderate to full bed rest. Can walk on the moon but can't figure out pregnancy. Its scary and frustrating and with so much conflicting information the studies on progesterone benefits are lower then the ones on the long term side effects. My MFM can say all they want that the last 5 pregnancies I used it, it did nothing but even it was just the calm I felt THAT was something. IMO bed rest it up because it cant hurt!
