I’m waiting to feel allowed to look pregnant. I know some is last baby and a short torso, so I’m ready for be like 6 months when it’s “normal” to show.
This maternity tankini that I got for $6 from Gap fits perfectly, I was amazed. 15+2 and also in that awkward in between phase. My bump doesn’t usually get round until 20+ weeks.

@mdfarmchick new from Gap! They were having a crazy sale a few weeks back. I got eight maternity items for $42

@wigglyicecream 😆 like many others have mentioned I am in that awkward phase where I look like I ate too many donuts, moreso than pregnant but I will take one later today. Also my MIL called me yesterday and requested I send her a bump pic (super awkward because we are not close AT ALL), so I guess I must take one 🙄
@twizzleraddict1 ugh my MIL always comments on my bump picks (she wants them regularly, too, but we are close so it's not too weird). I hate when she says "Wow, you're huge!" Like no...I'm not. *grumble grumble* I don't care if you're 8 months along, you never say "wow you're huge" to a pregnant woman.
@starkette I had to gently remind my MIL of that the other day. My cousin was pregnant and MIL made the comment, “wow she’s big for having a month left.”
I let it pass but brought it up a day later and mentioned that I have a short torso so I’ll probably look like that at 6 months pregnant.
She was kind about it.
I don’t know why it’s so hard NOT to comment on someone’s appearance 🙄 but people say stuff without thinking past their noses.
Ugh @starkette and @dimeadozen agreed! It is never okay to comment on a pregnant woman’s body!
I truly hate this part of pregnancy. I actually really love when I have a big giant bump and I feel like it’s the one time I can actually wear tight fitting clothing without being self conscious. But this part of pregnancy is just awkward and uncomfortable for me - when regular clothes are tight and unflattering but maternity clothes are still a little too big and awkward and basically I just look fat instead of pregnant 😭 But here’s my bump, nevertheless!
@twizzleraddict1 I think it’s a great bump! All of us should be so proud of what are bodies are doing to accommodate our babies. I’ll have to find the post I saw but a mom in July or June put it beautifully
Late bump because it was surgery day for my son yesterday. Also commiserating about not loving this stage of bump yet. I mostly wear T-shirt’s and can hide the bump but when I have to wear mat shirts, I look giant. 17 something.
Apparently my bump isn’t as subtle as I thought because my 8 year old said to me, “I can definitely see the baby mom, you’re usually never this fat!”
Thanks for keeping it real, kid.

@twizzleraddict1 Saaaame. I had a good sized pooch before getting pregnant and I've only just started rounding out the last couple of weeks where it's a little more obvious that I'm pregnant and not just that I really like my donuts. Another week or two and there'll be no doubt about it lol.
Finally had to break down and get some maternity tops and it's really helped smooth out my torso and not look so awkwardly dressed.
