Hi, I'm Holly! Me and my husband are both 31 and live in the UK.
We're in our first month/cycle of ttc for baby number 1 and I feel like I'm going nuts already! 😂 I really didn't think I'd be an obsessive person about it all but I'm proving myself soooo wrong!
We're both taking all sorts of supplements: a his & hers pre-conception, omega 3,6,9, vit C, vit D oral spray and thinking of maybe adding CoQ10?
I've also been bbt for about 6 years using Natural Cycles as wanted to be off hormonal contraception but have added in OKPs for the last few months to get in to the swing of things.
I'm at CD24/4DPO. My LP is anywhere from 10-14 days, but my app currently predicts AF is due a week today, so 11DPO.
I really want to try and hold off til 12 or 13DPO for testing but not sure I'll have the willpower 🤣
My husband and I work together (mad I know, but it's how we met so normal for us!) We work for the NHS delivering cancer treatment. I'm an avid reader and hobbies mostly include DIY in our house every weekend - we bought a new build and it's so blank so we're working on making it homey!

Hi Friends.

Ages (you and SO): Both 33 

How many months have you been TTC?: 14. Journey in spoiler - TW loss

We tried from Jan-June of '21 and got a BFP, only to have a MMC/Blighted Ovum in July at 9/10 weeks. Chose to have a D&C and try again. Waited 2 months for AF to return and started trying again. Fast forward to Jan '22 I got another BFP, but we found out that I again had a MMC. Scan at 7w was measuring 5w6d, and we waited a week to find out there was no growth and no heartbeat. I have a D&C scheduled for next Tuesday, unless my body decides to go naturally before then.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: We are trying all the things. BBT, CM, PNV, DTD, OPKs, hoping & praying...

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have a son who is 3.5 and giving us a HUGE run for our money right now. We also have a black lab named Tessie which is where the SN came from. As much as it effing sucks to be back here, I know that this is the most supportive community and I feel like I am in good hands here with you all. I might not be super active right now, but we do plan to try again as soon as possible so I wanted to pop back in, and also I'll be heading right to TTCAL for the mental support you all provide.

My 3.5 yo is the exact same. Solidarity! I attribute all of my advanced aging to threenager syndrome.

@holr90 Welcome! I am also in the UK and the NHS is the greatest so thanks to you and YH for being there for us despite the ridiculous austerity you are being hit with. Sounds like you are off to a great start with so many years of data and I wish you a short stay here with us.

What is w/o?***

Ages (you and SO): I’m 28 he’s 31

How many months have you been TTC?: 2 months

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Sex…a lot. Prenatals for the last 4 months. He is in the army so we have been making sure to have unprotected sex aligning with my ovulation window when he get a weekend pass. Last weekend that alignment finally happened.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)no kids. One dog (schnoodle)

I work as a Psychiatric RN and at a cosmetic surgery center for extra income.
He works as an occupational therapist but currently in the army officer training school.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?:  waiting for fertility treatment to resume! 

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) we have one miracle baby boy that is the outcome of a provera and clomid cycle back in Feb 2020 (Born December 2020) we have been “trying” since our first was born again. But I have PCOS and have has to go through a very tough lengthy process to get fertility treatment again and I am hoping be doing a medicated cycle again this April! (Currently taking BCP to have withdrawal bleeds and will need ovulation induction meds at the start of the next cycle!)


I was here at the bump in the “trouble TTC” thread which I can’t seem to find on my phone so I’m assuming this is now the active thread for all TTC!?  And everyone was such a great support I am looking forward to having a community trying together again and helping each other get through the struggle!
