  • Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.... A lot. So many I always have to count on my fingers or I miss one

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Hoping my O time is around the corner. OPK is starting to darken. I'm getting very close to the date I conceived with my son in 2020. We found out we were pregnant March 23. If we do get KU this cycle, I'll have a very similar due date, which is exciting and frightening at the same time.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? I heard back regarding my RPL panel, and everything checks out good. Which is great I suppose. Just one more unknown to why what's happened happened.

    Questions? natm

GTKY: Do you have any St. Patrick's Day traditions? Mostly drinking Guinness and eating corned beef and cabbage. Usually we go to DH's house as MIL is Irish. She usually makes lamb though since corned beef is not a very Irish thing to do..lol But I don't like lamb so she'll usually make a corned beef too.

Status: On the bench, waiting for the return of my cycle

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? It’s been almost a month since my D&C and I am still bleeding on and off and still haven’t tested out my HCG. I just want to get this behind me, but my body doesn’t seem to be on the same page.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Thyroid check and RPL panel today.

Questions? None, but wanted to say thank you to everyone who answered my question about therapy last week. I am looking into it based on all of your advice.

GTKY: Do you have any St. Patrick's Day traditions? I cook a corned beef every year. Truth be told, I’m in it for the leftovers. Homemade corned beef hash is the best.
  • @mambo5-2 have you followed up with insurance at all to see where they are?
@bearmomma1 big hug re the rpl panel, i know those emotions
@maggiemadeit have you had your follow up with your OB?

    Status: WTO?! will elaborate below

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Confusing. i bought OPKs Sat, didn't pay close attention in the target app and got clear blue digital not advanced digital. had the reader and 2 sticks left over from my last box of CBAD. so i took one, and it was an immediate peak on Sat which seemed odd b/c i thought i was only CD 8,  way too early to ovulate in my history. wound up taking the CBD as well, also came back peak. so now i'm wondering if 2/19 really was CD 1 or that was just some kind of weird heavy spotting for a day, and then lighter spotting? i feel like i used to know my body so well, and after the 6 mos it's a total mystery to me now. and that's really frustrating. i also had spotting this weekend, which i've never had during O. so just feeling... very confused.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? nada - waiting on fertility appt in 2 weeks

    Questions? natm

GTKY: Do you have any St. Patrick's Day traditions? negative! never been a big St Patty's day person
  • @anniemarie887 Add me to the same boat as confused. I started spotting this morning.  I've taken an OPK every day since my HCG was tested out. And I counted that day as cycle day 1. So I should be around CD 16 right now? But am spotting and have no idea why. I also thought I had a few almost positive's leading up to today, but nothing blaring peak positive. Ugh so frustrating and confusing.

  • @bearmomma1 so confusing, and i'm sorry you are dealing with it as well. i'm temping and putting them in ff, so we'll see as my chart moves along.
  • @mambo5-2 Ugh, sorry you're still waiting on insurance.
@bearmomma1 "Good" test results also spark mixed feelings for me: glad nothing is wrong, but wishing we knew what was actually wrong.
@maggiemadeit I'm sorry your body isn't letting you move forward. I would definitely touch base with your OB if the hcg lingers too long to make sure there isn't anything else that needs to be done.
@anniemarie887 That does sound super confusing. Hopefully you will get an answer (BFP or AF) before your appointment so you'll know better where you are.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? This week has been insanely busy, which the only benefit is that I haven't had much time to obsess over TTC. I was actually mildly surprised to write that I was 8 DPO today. I'm sure there will be plenty of time to SS and re-enter the crazy zone later this week as testing looms.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Just regular testing on Saturday to see if I should stop progesterone.

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: Do you have any St. Patrick's Day traditions? Not really. I wear green if I remember, haha.
  • Ugh I just realized they have a chiropractor appointment today and they knew I was pregnant last appt, but I haven’t had a way to like email or anything to let them know before.
  • @anniemarie887 I’m so sorry. These situations are always so awkward and stressful.

I had one when I went for the RPL testing yesterday. The phlebotomist wanted to know if I would also be doing my glucose test while I was there and I had to explain the situation. And while she was taking the 14 (!!!) vials of blood, she told me all about her life, her two losses, how she was saving for IVF, about her patient from the other day who was 48 and pregnant, and about how there was still time for us both. We laughed, I cried a little, and we promised to pray for each other.

Sharing this story because @anniemarie887 I hope the chiropractor brings you a surprise moment of healing instead of an awkward or sad one. It comes from the strangest places sometimes ❤️
  • I got notification that my cloud storage was running out, so I started going through all my messages and deleting them. I hadn't done this sine 2019! Which meant I had a LOT of messages to delete, but also meant I unfortunately got to relive my pregnancy, the birth and the loss of my son in 2020, and then also this recent pregnancy and loss in Dec/Jan. I wasn't ready for that grief bomb this morning.

  • @bearmomma1 I’m sorry, that sounds like a lot of grief to take in all at once. I hope the clean message box is at least making you feel good, clean slate and all that.
  • @bearmomma1 I hate the grief ambush, I think those are so much more painful when you aren't prepared. I hope that you get some space to process all of your feelings today. <3

@maggiemadeit it's so hard, and i won't lie i hold my breath when i encounter people who ask. you just never know what kind of response you are going to get
@bearmomma1 that's so hard, big hug.

  • I had a follow up ultrasound and blood work done because I am still bleeding and getting a positive HPT a month out from the D&C. Have been told I have “suspected retained tissue”. Ugh. Hoping to avoid a follow-up D&C but will re-run the HCG test on Saturday to see a trend and then chat with the OB to figure out a plan. I just want this is in the rear view and my body can’t seem to let it go.
  • @maggiemadeit Ugh I'm so sorry. Like it isn't hard enough to go through a loss and D&C and now you still have to keep dealing with it. I hope you body figures it out soon and/or your OB can help.

@maggiemadeit I’m so sorry. That’s so emotionally and physically draining.

  • @maggiemadeit That majorly sucks. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that. I hope your doctor can figure out a plan and get you out of limbo quickly.
