Progesterone levels?

I found out last Tuesday that i am pregnant with my second, i am only 5 weeks. Prior to this i have had 2 chemical pregnancies. Needless to say, i am anxious but trying to remain calm for the sake of the baby. I have had my HCG and progesterone levels checked 3 times during this past week. HCG is rising exactly as it should. My progesterone however has decreased. It went from 24, to 21, to 15. My doctor said it is very normal for this to fluctuate and they just want to see the number above 8. I am trying to just listen to what she said but i can’t shake this feeling that it is going to drop low and something bad will happen. Has anyone had a similar experience and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? Please help.

For my first my progesterone levels were not where they should be so I was on a supplement for the first trimester. I am about 7 weeks now pregnant with my second and my Dr assigned me the same prescription, she said it's no big deal if you have extra your body will just pee it out (TMI). So ask her if you can take a supplement of progesterone just to ease your worried mind.

Thanks for your response. I did ask her about supplementing but she said it’s not necessary. I should mention this doctor is my fertility specialist. We ended up getting pregnant naturally but they offered to see me and check levels since OBs typically don’t see you right away. I will be calling my OB today to get his opinion as well. This is stressful 🥺

I read recently that a carrot a day can help increase progesterone levels and decrease excess estrogen levels. Might be worth a try since it's natural and couldn't hurt.

It's my first & my levels were at 11 @ the 5 week mark so dr (fertility surgeon) has me on a vaginal suppository twice a day to help prevent miscarriage. I've been feeling good & baby is doing great. Had an 8 wk ultrasound & thinks are progressing nicely. OB sees me at the 10 wk mark to double check everything.

I'm so glad they did the progesterone. The suppository irritated me so I take it orally now. I had to have four miscarriages before a new doctor told me it was BS that no one paid attention to this and put me on the progesterone. I'm 11 weeks now and grateful for that doctor every single day.

My doctor wants to see 20 or higher. I was at 19.2 so she put me on progesterone. I believe I’ll be taking it until I’m 8 weeks.

Yeah. My doctor wanted 24+ for progesterone. I had four miscarriages prior to this pregnancy and my progesterone plummeted with every single one. I've been on supplements this time and I'm incredibly grateful for them. My previous doctor saw absolutely no issues with my progesterone levels fluctuating so I fired her.
