    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Green!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: On this day, baby is the length of a slice of bacon

Upcoming appointments: Next Monday - anatomy scan time!

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Finally feel like my digestive tract is back in working order.

Rants/Raves: I missed my second counseling appointment this past Friday because I was in a different time zone when I checked my calendar and thought it was scheduled for an hour later than it actually was. Luckily my therapist was willing to get me on her schedule for tomorrow.

    Questions: Can't think of any.

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? - He did! It took me almost 2 more months until I said it. But that's one of the things I love so much about DH - he's so patient, especially with me.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 18w1d

    FTM/STM/STM+: 4TM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: green

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: croissant

Upcoming appointments: @20 weeks for regular ob/anatomy scan

How are you feeling?: pretty good! This is definitely my favorite trimester.

Rants/Raves: I’m running a half marathon this Sunday! It’ll be slow but fun. It’s also a big race so there will be plenty of bathrooms lol. I think this will be my 3rd race this pregnancy. I have another half scheduled for April as long as everything continues to go well. I’ve run all my other pregnancies til the day of birth so I’m hoping I can keep it up. I use the term “run” loosely towards the end though lol

    Questions:

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? He did. I remember waiting for him to be the first one and it taking forever. Then I got into a car accident and my first thought was that I needed to tell him I loved him. That same day is when he told me.
  • @lilirunning34 good luck on your half! I miss running - I'm really not allowed to get my heartrate up very high because of the higher risk in a twin pregnancy. I do some faster walking but have mostly switched to strength training over here. I want to try to pick back up and run some 5ks this fall!

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 18+0

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM plus bogo

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out - NIPT results indicate pink/pink

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A couple of sweet potatoes. Which, uh, can really vary in size? I'm going to lean toward the larger potatoes because that makes me feel better about how large I already am haha.

Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan and first MFM appointment on 3/4. Midwife 20 week appointment on 3/9

How are you feeling?: Large. Very large. Somewhat unpopular opinion but I am one of those women who does not enjoy being pregnant, like at all. And this time there are 2 in there and I'm just extra annoyed and grumpy all the time. Good thing the only person I really see is MH (and DS) as I WFH and no one needs to deal with my crankiness.

Rants/Raves: Rave: DS's 5th birthday is Friday! We're taking him to the local children's museum, but we are also supposed to get 5-8 inches of snow that day so I hope it doesn't ruin our plans.
Rant: is anyone else just, like, done with work? I have zero motivation to do anything at all because my mind is obviously elsewhere 99% of the time. I feel bad but I really don't know what to do about it haha.
Second rant: I feel so lonely and isolated. We moved 2 hours away from family last year and it has been very hard on me. I miss my friends and I don't have any here. I WFH so I don't see anyone all day long. And most of the time when MH gets home and we are done with nighttime/bedtime with DS we are both tired so the quality time isn't there. Plus it is winter which makes everything worse.

Questions: I can't remember if I asked this here but - it was suggested that we get DS a big brother present "from" the babies to help with the transition a little bit. What has everyone done for this? He already has a big bro shirt and some books on the topic. He is going to pick out the babies first stuffies so maybe they can get one for him? But he also has like 1 billion already....

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? I remember us having a conversation about it and we were both hinting at what we wanted to say. But we were both afraid it was too early to say it (it was only a few months in) but DH ended up just saying it and I reciprocated.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/4 - 21 weeks

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Pink

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A large banana

Upcoming appointments: I have an echo and fetal echo next week, and then another ultrasound and GD test in 3 weeks.

How are you feeling?: Great! Hips are starting to hurt at night though - I have to switch sides I'm sleeping on a lot.

Rants/Raves: Had our anatomy scan last Thursday and the tech was so animated and excited and kept saying what a pretty baby she is.. when the doc came in at the end of the scan she asked if they could use my ultrasound pics for their reaccreditation since she was such a pretty baby! It was really reassuring that everything looked so perfect on the scans that they wanted to use them!

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? My husband said it first and I told him I loved him too. I had moved into his house about a month prior and it was a really sweet moment just standing in our living room.

@velvetblue88 - I'm so glad your meeting with your doula went so well!

@twentythree19 - That's great that your therapist is so accommodating!

@lilirunning34 - So so impressed that you are able to still run! I wish I was that motivated!

@zwink1 - Did you make the decision to be team green last time? I don't think I could ever go that long without knowing! Kudos to you!
  • @zwink1 team green is the best IMO. We've been green each pregnancy and wouldn’t change a thing. I feel like there are not enough good surprises in life.

@jellie603 fall running is my favorite! Twin pregnancies would make it super hard. Great job keeping up being active though. One of my friends I think swam most of her twin pregnancy. She’s a triathlete so it was easy for her. I do want to pick up swimming in the summer. We joined a gym, but I have yet to go since I’m so used to working out at home now.
  • @jellie603 ugh do I commiserate with your work rant.  I'm especially bad right now because I checked out and had already decided to leave my job before I got pregnant.  I'm just biding time at this point and feeling grumpy pretty much every minute that I'm there.  I'm also sorry you're feeling isolated and lonely.  I definitely think that winter makes all of those feelings so much more apparent.  I don't have any advice on how to lighten that, but am sending you virtual hugs.

@feather_heather yes I did, lol! H was on board, but I was the one who felt very strongly about being team green and he just sort of rolled with it.  This time around I thought it only fair to let him make the call.  He seems pretty committed to staying green though!

@lilirunning34 I agree!  Being team green was practically the only thing that went according to plan for us between conceiving and pregnancy/birth last time around, so it was really kind of nice to have that one pleasant surprise to counteract the negative "surprises."  I completely get people needing to know asap, and it's a surprise no matter when you find out, but there's just something special to me about building that bond with the baby pre-birth without accidentally shoving my preconceived notions about who this little person is on them.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 25, 18 + 3

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Blue

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: as tall as a ballpoint pen - which just blew my mind as I looked down at a pen on my desk!

Upcoming appointments: Mar 3rd, regular 20 week appt, anatomy scan Mar 15

How are you feeling?: Not too bad. Large, and a little uncomfortable - I just ordered a pregnancy pillow from Amazon so hoping that helps a lot!

Rants/Raves: I have to agree with @jelli@jellie603 (I don't know why it is tagging your name like that - I keep trying to fix it and my computer is overwriting it!) here and say I just hate being pregnant. I can't wait to be past 20 weeks and be counting "down" the weeks left instead of counting "up" (if that makes sense at all!)

    Questions:

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? Gosh, I think me, by accident, and then I panicked but luckily he said it back so all was well! Feels like so long ago trying to remember that scene haha
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 20+1 - EDD 7/11

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Boy

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: for any other 90s kids - a beanie baby

Upcoming appointments: this week for AS!

How are you feeling?: TIRED, feeling super emotional too because my EDD for my MMC is in a few weeks

Rants/Raves: why does my husband not notice anything and then get mad at me for being annoyed? ie - over the weekend my FIL was over helping with something in our basement. i ran our robot vacuum on our hard floors while i was cleaning other things in prep to mop them.  he knew that and even made a joke about how hard i was working at vacuuming.  Then he was standing right next to the robot vacuum dock while it announced it was finished and was docking AND i was telling my kiddo that it was time to go get the mop to do the floors and like a minute later my husband asked "Did you clean the floors yet?" as a genuine question.  and repeat for various things throughout the day.
Also why are couches so expensive? we just ordered one for our basement and it was much more than we've ever spent on a couch but everything else that was any less expensive was just such bad quality or didn't work for our space - and because we needed a sectional in the reverse layout of the sales model it was a special order and we won't have it until July/Aug, even though they had mltiple in stock of the layout in the store.  currently we are using camping chairs to sit on while our son plays down there

Questions: How is everyone's Anatomy Scans going?

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? i don't even remember but probably my husband.  he definitely wrote I <3 you on the back of a framed picture early on in our dating that he sent me even though i didn't see that message until much later because i didn't take it out of the frame.
  • @lilirunning34 good luck at your race! i ran with my first until 32-ish weeks pregnant but then it was so hot in FL that i just gave into walking  now it's been winter in IL and i've been too scared to run outside in the weather we are having so thankful for walking and hoping i might pretend to run now that spring is coming!

@jellie603 i also strongly dislike pretty much everything about pregnancy besides getting to have my baby at the end of it.  I try not to complain outside of my house too much because i know there are people who would give anything for the terrible pregnancy symptoms, but i really and thoroughly do not enjoy being pregnant and i get all the annoying but not medically serious side effects
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 20+5, 7/7

    FTM/STM/STM+: TTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Officially team blue!! Doing a gender reveal on the 12th for the family

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby is big enough that my bump shape changes depending on where he is laying

Upcoming appointments: It's nice and boring now and I love it. Next midwife for the 24 week and then, sigh, apts become every two weeks. so 28, 30, ... ugh.

How are you feeling?: Still nauseous. I lost my bands after taking them off on Saturday and I had to go buy more last night. I still need them.

Rants/Raves: Idk if it's either but I PACKED pounds back on in the last month. Which is fine. I was way under what I should have been because of how sick I was. But I was also enjoying the buffer. Oh well. On track now!

Also sort of a both: Husband is on his third interview for a job in NC. They don't normally even DO a third. They normally invite their favorite candidate out at this point, but instead he is doing a virtual with the whole team. He thinks, and I kind of agree, that the guy who interviewed him really wants him but HR doesn't want to pay to move him. SIGH. It gets right under my skin that companies boast about their competitive relocation packages and then don't want to actually give them. Just irks me to no end. Anyways, I know he's gonna nail it today and this is everything we've been waiting for so we're very on edge over here waiting and hoping he gets this.

    Questions:

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? He did.

@jellie I detest pregnancy. But I love babies. I’m already done with this one and I’m barely halfway. I just want my baby already

Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan is Friday

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Hips are still kinda achy.

Rants/Raves: Over the weekend we put an offer in on a house and it was accepted so now comes the annoying part of inspections, appraisals and dealing with underwriting 😩 over it already and it’s been 3 days.

    Questions: none

GTKY: who said "I love you" first?

My husband said it first like 2 weeks after we started dating! 😳 lol But we had known each other for a while before dating lol

@runnergirl2018 hugs. My due date for my MC is next month and it’s also our anniversary and I know it’s going to be hard. I’m already dreading the month. I know we can do this though and it’s ok to be sad about it.
  • @velvetblue88 I can't get enough of the naps these days! Whatever happened to 2nd tri being the best with all the energy :D

@twentythree19 oof I hate missing appointments like that! Awesome that your therapist can still fit you in.

@lilirunning34 man I can't imagine trying to run being near full term! Does that take a lot of adjustment to your running stride when your belly grows?

@zwink1 you sound a little unsure there that you'll stay team green lol

@jellie603 lol yes I'm so just blah about work lately. It's been a little crazy, so that's not helping. But I haven't had a chance to work on my registry, read the various resources, take baby classes, etc and would much rather do that instead. Happy early birthday to your DS! Hope you're able to go to the museum.

@feather_heather she must have been perfectly positioned to get great ultrasound shots! That's pretty cool. Baby's first modeling gig? haha jk.

@courtneyqdk it's crazy to think almost all of us are at or beyond the halfway point!

    @sjb2215 yay for more energy!

@runnergirl2018 omg yes why is furniture so expensive??? When DH and I were first looking at getting some couches and tables for our living room when we moved in together anything that struck our fancy was so overpriced. One furniture store we went to had 1 couch (like a basic 3 cushion couch) that we both liked but not loved and it was $3k! We ended up finding a set we liked at Ashley Furniture that was a couch, loveseat, side tables, coffee table, pillows, a 5pc decor set, throw blanket, couple lamps, oh and 2 chairs and an ottoman - all for like $1500. We even bought another 2 chairs and ottoman on top of that. It's all held up really well for the last 8-ish years.

@tuxielove93 I don't think I start having appointments every 2 weeks until week 32. You'd think I would remember considering I just booked a whole bunch that would get me into mid June when my last growth scan is. Good luck to YH with his interview!!

@francesgs congrats on the accepted offer! Home buying is so damn stressful

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: blue!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: baby is about the size of a bowl of cereal.... but I know there are a large variety in the cereal/salad bowls that come with place settings so how big is he really? We have pretty deep cereal bowls :D

Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan was today, next once isn't for another 4 weeks

How are you feeling?: I had some kind of stomach bug on Saturday and couldn't keep anything down. Nausea has been coming and going over the last couple days. I randomly puked again this morning out of the blue (sorry for the TMI). I'm assuming it's because my stomach is getting moved around in there?

Rants/Raves: everything looked great at the anatomy scan!! I'm so happy. Everybody was gushing over the photos we sent. Now it's time to get serious about getting things planned for this baby!

Questions: Is nausea common as things start making room for baby? Or is that when heartburn starts?

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? I write up these questions without even knowing what my answer is :joy:. Had to ask DH. He says it was probably him. Like others though, I likely reciprocated right away considering I had a major crush on him before we were dating.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Cupcake!

Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan/ doctor visit in 2 weeks

How are you feeling?: Posterior pelvic pain is apparently what it's called but it's sooo annoying. Lower back, right side of my tailbone just hurts so bad. I can't even walk well because of it and I'm not even halfway through the pregnancy yet. 😩

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? I don't remember. Doesn't matter. 🤷‍♀️

  • @inthewoods23 -we actually started at Ashley because we have a big sleeper sectional that we love that was like $1500 but their only sofa/loveseats that we liked were soooo squishy and too light in color and didn' thave removable cushions.  what a terrible idea! we ended up at another local furniture store and spent like $3k on something just so we have a place to sit. We saw a few less expensive things there that we liked but they were just a little too long - we have basement support poles to contest with.  it better last forever!!!!! thank goodness for 0% financing
  • @inthewoods23 just finished your post - i had increase in nausea for like 7-10 days after a stomach bug that i had.  I actually called my doc for zofran. it's subsided after that recovery. I'd say if it continues beyond that or returns later, talk to your doc about your gallbladder since it can be impacted by pregnancy and a lot of gallbladder issue symptoms look like normal preg symptoms
  • @runnergirl2018 If it makes you feel better, we got an Ashley set maybe three years ago and it’s a disaster. The wood is all chipped, the cushion covers are falling apart, the lamps are crooked. It sucks.

  • @inthewoods23 near the end it becomes a bit more of a shuffle. Even now I’m a good 2 or so minutes slower per mile than my usual pace. I don’t purposely change my stride, but it does change a lot.
  • @runnergirl2018 ugh yeah it's so hard when you have a space constraint like that! And finding just the right color is a pain. We were interested in green but it was either too bright or too deep like a forest green. We eventually found the set at Ashley that was a muted green. Cushions not too soft or too hard. We definitely searched for a good while before we found it! And yes, 0% financing is great!! I'll keep the zofran in mind with my nausea. I'm going to make an effort today to eat smaller meals and see if that helps.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/10 but she's ahead by about 4 days at this point. I'll be 21 weeks this weekend.

    FTM/STM/STM+:
    Third time mom.

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out:
It's always pink here. 😂 We already knew from the NIPT, but during the ultrasound she went down to her legs and we were like "Oh, we know what that is."

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: microphone.

    Upcoming appointments:
Next month I think is glucose testing, ugh. We also have a follow up ultrasound in 8 ish weeks to get a better look at her heart and see if the cysts in her head dissolved.

    How are you feeling?:
My back is killing me, heartburn has been miserable, but I'm feeling her kick a ton so that's nice.

Rants/Raves: I wish we could agree on what to prioritize for the homestead this year. We want to do so much and it's hard to figure out what to do first. We're adding more goats so it's going to be a lot of moving animals around. Plus our pregnant goat is due any day now and I'm so so nervous about that, I don't think I can handle losing any goats in the process our first time. It's all I can think about right now.

    Questions:

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? I think he did? Man that was so so long ago.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 19w1d

    FTM/STM/STM+: TTM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: team blue!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a hot dog 🤣 My 5 yo loves checking the daily fact and is going to get a kick out of this

    Upcoming appointments: next Friday!!

How are you feeling?: good, tired, large

Rants/Raves: We got a taste of spring earlier this week with temps in the mid to upper 50s and it’s going to snow again tomorrow. I’m ready for spring!

    Questions: none

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? I think my husband did but I really don’t remember. I do know it was after his work Christmas party with an open bar and I was only 20 at the time (so I took full advantage haha). I know the feeling was mutual. I was head over heels for him. Still am 🥰
  • Lol @inthewoods23, if it were up to me I would be sure that we're staying green, but I just keep waiting for H to change his mind at the last minute!  I've also heard stories about people who didn't want to know accidentally finding out from notes in MyChart, which if that happens I guess we were just meant to know.
  • @tuxielove93 oh no! that's terrible.  I've heard others having poor experiences like that. i'm happy with how our one ashley couch held up but i definitely am picky on quality and glad we walked away from what they had in their store right now
  • Damn. It’s been like a month since I posted here. Things have been crazy.

@velvetblue88 I’m so excited for you to find out the sex. I don’t know how you’re going to keep it from YH! I would most definitely slip up lol.

@twentythree19 I’m so glad your therapist was able to get you rescheduled. Those appointment can be so hard to get sometimes!

@lilirunning34 I’m always in aw of runners. I wish it were something I liked doing. But, nope. I can’t. Have so much fun this weekend! Is good luck appropriate?

@zwink1 Eek! Did you guys decide to stay team green today?!

@jellie603 I am the same way about work. I’m super busy right now so I don’t really have a choice, but I’m definitely over it. I’m sorry you’re feeling so isolated after moving away. Have you tried the peanut app? Happy early birthday to YS!!

@feather_heather My hips hurt so much when I’m sleeping too. Have you added a pillow between your knees yet? That’s the only thing that helps me.

@courtneyqdk These babies are getting so big already! I’m definitely starting to feel uncomfortable already, which did not happen with my first until the very end.

@sjb2215 I’m glad your trip to New Orleans went well!

@runnergirl2018 Omg. MH is the same exact way! He’s got this magic power though where he can flawlessly repeat back to me what I said but has absolutely no clue what I said at the same time. I don’t understand it.

@tuxielove93 I’ve got my fingers crossed for YH! What does he do for a living? And what part of NC? MH has become obsessed with the idea of moving to NC even though we’ve never been there lol.

@francesgs Congrats on the house! I totally get the annoyance and stress of all the rest that comes with it though. Hopefully it will fly by.

@inthewoods23 Ugh, I’m sorry about the stomach bug. That is the absolute worst, especially while pregnant! My heartburn started more when my stomach started to get squished. I also couldn’t eat as much in one sitting. That really sucked cause I was always so hungry!

@stardustkies I feel you so much on the pelvic pain! I’m hoping it will pass soon.

@thegeekymom Good luck to your goat! That’s an exciting time!! Also, I don’t know much about the cysts that they found on the AS but if they’re not too worried then I would try not to worry too. DS has some cyst (or maybe it was something that was just enlarger?) on/near his kidney that required us to come back. Everything ended up being just fine.

@sunshineandlemons I’m sooooo ready for spring too. F*ck this winter!

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 29th, 17w5d

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team pink

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Creme brulee

Upcoming appointments: Had one last week. Next one will be the AS

How are you feeling?: Holy lightning crotch!!!! It has been soooo intense the last couple of days. Making it so hard to walk. I do not remember having this last time at all. I also am starting to feel her move, which is nice, but also making me a little nauseous. I don’t know if I just need to get used to it or what. But the movement has been weird lol.

Rants/Raves: We went on our vacation to Florida a couple weeks ago. It was so amazing to get away. We met up with about 9 other families from my previous BMB. It was so nice to be with them in person since we chat online all day long lol.

I definitely over did it during the vacation though. I was so exhausted and sore by the end of every day. Vacationing with a toddler is so different from what I’m used to lol. But it was totally worth it to see the joy on his face.

We got home last week and I’ve been trying to play catch up here but work as been unusually busy. So that’s been great.

Oh and yesterday we got a snow storm. I ended up slipping in the snow and fell on my butt. My initial reaction was that I was fine, baby was fine. But then I just started crying. Defiantly a hormonal reaction.

Oh! And one more thing. The whole grandma FB drama, turns out my grandma unfriended and blocked me. She also unfriended my mom and husband. So that’s been great.

    Questions:

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? We both had talking about saying I love you in previous relationships too soon, so we both had declared that we wouldn’t be the one to say it first lol. This led to a long first summer together where we were both trying to get the other to say it. I ended up caving and saying it first. He of course said it right back to me.

  • @LJMoon6 He works in the video game industry. Right now he is in testing as a manager, but he’s trying to move into production which is what this job is. It’s about an hour and a half outside Raleigh towards the coast. We considered NC at one point too! But we really hate the snow and it’s just a touch to cold and snowy there in the winter. But I’m happy to go there for a good job (or anywhere really. His industry nearly requires moving every couple years so we’re ready for it).

  • @LJMoon6 Sorry about your grandma but she sounds crazy. Her loss.
  • @LJMoon6 let’s talk hormonal reactions for a moment…. During my anatomy scan everything was going fine and then she zoomed out to show the whole spine and I started sobbing. It just looked so strong and healthy and I lost it. Poor girl just handed me a tissue and patted my knee.

@inthewoods23 heartburn for me and the feeling of feeling full and hungry at the same time. 😜

@zwink1 (and all the others) team green love! We made it through the anatomy scan without any slips!

  • @LJMoon6 I already know the sex, but I'm not posting on here, and I'm glad I've been calling the baby "My Passenger" this whole time, because I have been avoiding his/hers and just saying "Passenger is breakdancing tonight" or blaming The Passenger for a craving. It's good having a "name," because it's been hard, but not impossible. The question really is: can I keep it up for 4.5 more months? 😆
  • @LJMoon6 we did!  H held firm on his team green choice.  I haven't had any lightening crotch moments yet, but I have had what feels like way more round ligament pain than I remember from last time.  Half of the time I sneeze it feels like I ripped a hole in one side or the other for a few seconds, lol.  I'm sorry you slipped, but glad that everything's okay.

@cmhme woohoo!  H is convinced that he heard the us tech make a slip during our AS yesterday after she'd checked and knew what sex the baby is, but if she did I didn't hear it.  She mentioned toward the beginning of the appt that she's been doing this for 20 yrs, so I really doubt she actually slipped up, lol.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/13 20w1d

    FTM/STM/STM+: SEVENTH time mom!

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Pink! :)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A venti iced latte.

Upcoming appointments: Anatomy Scan on the 1st. Very excited to see our girl.

How are you feeling?: I’m in the ‘I hate pregnancy’ club with a few others I’m sure, but I’m grateful and thankful to be here.

Rants/Raves: Rave is that we just purchased my husbands late grandmothers house which means the world to my husband and we are currently living in it and about to start renovations to the roof and windows so I feel extremely grateful and lucky to be able to do that, but my rant is that it is a TINY Florida beach bungalow about 850 sq ft and we are packed in here like sardines. I can’t wait to have some more space when we expand the house maybe next year but I’m also not looking forward to construction and a mess. *privileged problems to have and again I am grateful but it’s giving me anxiety.

Questions: i asked about Docatot vs Snuggle me organic and I got some feedback about SIDS, which is appreciated, but I'm living in a very tiny space so I need to be able to put the baby down to do dishes or vacuum or when I'm folding laundry on the sofa and a swing, bouncer or anything  else that takes up floor space isn’t an option this time around. We went with the Snuggle Me Organic when they were having their weekly sales on imperfect pieces and we got a big discount on it. I’m very happy about it and then I read the creators back story and I loved it even more!

GTKY: who said "I love you" first? We had a very steamy romantic whirlwind of a beginning so I’m not sure. It’s all a blur. 😬
  • @oli9 i don't know if you have considered a baby carrier - i feel like people either love or hate them - but that might also be an option for what to do with baby when you need to do other things.  We love our Snuggle Me :)
  • @runnergirl2018 that’s a great suggestion actually and one I didn’t even think of because my other kids hated them so I just wrote them off after my fourth attempt, but with my other kids I also had much more space and lots of gadgets to stick them in when I needed to be hands free so maybe if I start her off in a carrier she won’t mind it so much. Thanks for reminding me that carriers exist!
  • @oli9 babies are definitely opinionated lol. But you can normally get decent carriers for a good price used and if you start them from when they are born, it seems to have a higher success rate. I start wearing my babies within the first week (they have to be a certain weight, I think it’s 8. My babies are born at 8 but they’re on the larger side).
Anyways I’m able to do whatever I want with a little one strapped to me, and that’s how we get through those first few months. I don’t have any gadgets either

  • @zinnia19 I suspected it would be an issue but I finally pulled all my old maternity clothes out and they are basically useless. It’s not just that they aren’t my style. They actively don’t fit (stretched out), have holes, or are very worn out. I feel less guilty for buying stuff now because they just were not going to work

  • @zinnia19 i hate when that happens - i feel like i've never had luck with hand me down clothes. for whatever it's worth, i've had good success with maternity sweaters from Pink Blush, and I just bought some t shirts and long sleeved shirts from Target that fit well and are super comfy. planning on wearing them with cardigans and dress pants to work or just with jeans on my days off
  • @tuxielove93 same! some work but pretty much none of the pants fit right or they were worn out so badly. plus i was pregnant in FL and had no winter stuff - bought just a couple things for winter here and have some things in my Target cart today to have more that i can wear comfortably without spending too much $$
