Re: Weekly Check-In w/o 2.21
@lilirunning34 I am seriously impressed by your half marathon. I can't tell you the last time a ran a half mile (pregnant or not) let alone a half marathon. That's incredible!
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/15 - 19w3d
Him. I said it right back though. We'd been dating for a few months at that point and I don't think it came as a surprise to either of us.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 18+0
Rant: is anyone else just, like, done with work? I have zero motivation to do anything at all because my mind is obviously elsewhere 99% of the time. I feel bad but I really don't know what to do about it haha.
Second rant: I feel so lonely and isolated. We moved 2 hours away from family last year and it has been very hard on me. I miss my friends and I don't have any here. I WFH so I don't see anyone all day long. And most of the time when MH gets home and we are done with nighttime/bedtime with DS we are both tired so the quality time isn't there. Plus it is winter which makes everything worse.
@velvetblue88 - I'm so glad your meeting with your doula went so well!
@twentythree19 - That's great that your therapist is so accommodating!
@lilirunning34 - So so impressed that you are able to still run! I wish I was that motivated!
@zwink1 - Did you make the decision to be team green last time? I don't think I could ever go that long without knowing! Kudos to you!
@feather_heather yes I did, lol! H was on board, but I was the one who felt very strongly about being team green and he just sort of rolled with it. This time around I thought it only fair to let him make the call. He seems pretty committed to staying green though!
@lilirunning34 I agree! Being team green was practically the only thing that went according to plan for us between conceiving and pregnancy/birth last time around, so it was really kind of nice to have that one pleasant surprise to counteract the negative "surprises." I completely get people needing to know asap, and it's a surprise no matter when you find out, but there's just something special to me about building that bond with the baby pre-birth without accidentally shoving my preconceived notions about who this little person is on them.
Questions:
@velvetblue88 glad your doula appointment went well
@twentythree19 nice of your therapist to squeeze you in
@lilirunning34 props on the half marathon! I've run a couple quite a few years ago. After DS2 I went to see a pelvic floor PT to help with leakage with running and it helped so much, but really focusing on that strengthening and relaxing of those muscles now during pregnancy hoping it'll be easier to get back in it this time after
@zwink1 I'm with you on team green and loved your explanation. We were green with DS1 and found out with DS2. Fully expecting another boy, although I'd love a little girl but excited for the surprise 💚
@jellie603 hope you get to keep your son's birthday plans. We love our local children's museum
@feather_heather that's so sweet about what tech said during anatomy scan and reassuring!
@courtneyqdk thanks for the reminder about being able to count down now, that is exciting lol
Also why are couches so expensive? we just ordered one for our basement and it was much more than we've ever spent on a couch but everything else that was any less expensive was just such bad quality or didn't work for our space - and because we needed a sectional in the reverse layout of the sales model it was a special order and we won't have it until July/Aug, even though they had mltiple in stock of the layout in the store. currently we are using camping chairs to sit on while our son plays down there
@jellie603 i also strongly dislike pretty much everything about pregnancy besides getting to have my baby at the end of it. I try not to complain outside of my house too much because i know there are people who would give anything for the terrible pregnancy symptoms, but i really and thoroughly do not enjoy being pregnant and i get all the annoying but not medically serious side effects
Also sort of a both: Husband is on his third interview for a job in NC. They don't normally even DO a third. They normally invite their favorite candidate out at this point, but instead he is doing a virtual with the whole team. He thinks, and I kind of agree, that the guy who interviewed him really wants him but HR doesn't want to pay to move him. SIGH. It gets right under my skin that companies boast about their competitive relocation packages and then don't want to actually give them. Just irks me to no end. Anyways, I know he's gonna nail it today and this is everything we've been waiting for so we're very on edge over here waiting and hoping he gets this.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Hips are still kinda achy.
Rants/Raves: Over the weekend we put an offer in on a house and it was accepted so now comes the annoying part of inspections, appraisals and dealing with underwriting 😩 over it already and it’s been 3 days.
Questions: none
GTKY: who said "I love you" first?
My husband said it first like 2 weeks after we started dating! 😳 lol But we had known each other for a while before dating lol
@twentythree19 oof I hate missing appointments like that! Awesome that your therapist can still fit you in.
@lilirunning34 man I can't imagine trying to run being near full term! Does that take a lot of adjustment to your running stride when your belly grows?
@zwink1 you sound a little unsure there that you'll stay team green lol
@jellie603 lol yes I'm so just blah about work lately. It's been a little crazy, so that's not helping. But I haven't had a chance to work on my registry, read the various resources, take baby classes, etc and would much rather do that instead. Happy early birthday to your DS! Hope you're able to go to the museum.
@feather_heather she must have been perfectly positioned to get great ultrasound shots! That's pretty cool. Baby's first modeling gig? haha jk.
@courtneyqdk it's crazy to think almost all of us are at or beyond the halfway point!
@sjb2215 yay for more energy!
@runnergirl2018 omg yes why is furniture so expensive??? When DH and I were first looking at getting some couches and tables for our living room when we moved in together anything that struck our fancy was so overpriced. One furniture store we went to had 1 couch (like a basic 3 cushion couch) that we both liked but not loved and it was $3k! We ended up finding a set we liked at Ashley Furniture that was a couch, loveseat, side tables, coffee table, pillows, a 5pc decor set, throw blanket, couple lamps, oh and 2 chairs and an ottoman - all for like $1500. We even bought another 2 chairs and ottoman on top of that. It's all held up really well for the last 8-ish years.
@tuxielove93 I don't think I start having appointments every 2 weeks until week 32. You'd think I would remember considering I just booked a whole bunch that would get me into mid June when my last growth scan is. Good luck to YH with his interview!!
@francesgs congrats on the accepted offer! Home buying is so damn stressful

Third time mom.
It's always pink here. 😂 We already knew from the NIPT, but during the ultrasound she went down to her legs and we were like "Oh, we know what that is."
Next month I think is glucose testing, ugh. We also have a follow up ultrasound in 8 ish weeks to get a better look at her heart and see if the cysts in her head dissolved.
Damn. It’s been like a month since I posted here. Things have been crazy.
@velvetblue88 I’m so excited for you to find out the sex. I don’t know how you’re going to keep it from YH! I would most definitely slip up lol.
@twentythree19 I’m so glad your therapist was able to get you rescheduled. Those appointment can be so hard to get sometimes!
@lilirunning34 I’m always in aw of runners. I wish it were something I liked doing. But, nope. I can’t. Have so much fun this weekend! Is good luck appropriate?
@zwink1 Eek! Did you guys decide to stay team green today?!
@jellie603 I am the same way about work. I’m super busy right now so I don’t really have a choice, but I’m definitely over it. I’m sorry you’re feeling so isolated after moving away. Have you tried the peanut app? Happy early birthday to YS!!
@feather_heather My hips hurt so much when I’m sleeping too. Have you added a pillow between your knees yet? That’s the only thing that helps me.
@courtneyqdk These babies are getting so big already! I’m definitely starting to feel uncomfortable already, which did not happen with my first until the very end.
@sjb2215 I’m glad your trip to New Orleans went well!
@runnergirl2018 Omg. MH is the same exact way! He’s got this magic power though where he can flawlessly repeat back to me what I said but has absolutely no clue what I said at the same time. I don’t understand it.
@tuxielove93 I’ve got my fingers crossed for YH! What does he do for a living? And what part of NC? MH has become obsessed with the idea of moving to NC even though we’ve never been there lol.
@francesgs Congrats on the house! I totally get the annoyance and stress of all the rest that comes with it though. Hopefully it will fly by.
@inthewoods23 Ugh, I’m sorry about the stomach bug. That is the absolute worst, especially while pregnant! My heartburn started more when my stomach started to get squished. I also couldn’t eat as much in one sitting. That really sucked cause I was always so hungry!
@stardustkies I feel you so much on the pelvic pain! I’m hoping it will pass soon.
@thegeekymom Good luck to your goat! That’s an exciting time!! Also, I don’t know much about the cysts that they found on the AS but if they’re not too worried then I would try not to worry too. DS has some cyst (or maybe it was something that was just enlarger?) on/near his kidney that required us to come back. Everything ended up being just fine.
@sunshineandlemons I’m sooooo ready for spring too. F*ck this winter!

How are you feeling?: Holy lightning crotch!!!! It has been soooo intense the last couple of days. Making it so hard to walk. I do not remember having this last time at all. I also am starting to feel her move, which is nice, but also making me a little nauseous. I don’t know if I just need to get used to it or what. But the movement has been weird lol.
Rants/Raves: We went on our vacation to Florida a couple weeks ago. It was so amazing to get away. We met up with about 9 other families from my previous BMB. It was so nice to be with them in person since we chat online all day long lol.
I definitely over did it during the vacation though. I was so exhausted and sore by the end of every day. Vacationing with a toddler is so different from what I’m used to lol. But it was totally worth it to see the joy on his face.
We got home last week and I’ve been trying to play catch up here but work as been unusually busy. So that’s been great.
Oh and yesterday we got a snow storm. I ended up slipping in the snow and fell on my butt. My initial reaction was that I was fine, baby was fine. But then I just started crying. Defiantly a hormonal reaction.
Oh! And one more thing. The whole grandma FB drama, turns out my grandma unfriended and blocked me. She also unfriended my mom and husband. So that’s been great.
Questions:
GTKY: who said "I love you" first? We both had talking about saying I love you in previous relationships too soon, so we both had declared that we wouldn’t be the one to say it first lol. This led to a long first summer together where we were both trying to get the other to say it. I ended up caving and saying it first. He of course said it right back to me.

@cmhme woohoo! H is convinced that he heard the us tech make a slip during our AS yesterday after she'd checked and knew what sex the baby is, but if she did I didn't hear it. She mentioned toward the beginning of the appt that she's been doing this for 20 yrs, so I really doubt she actually slipped up, lol.

@LJMoon6 So glad you got to go to Florida! That sounds awesome. We have a trip to visit my family planned for next month, to Arkansas where my brother lives. I am hoping that covid will still be on the down-swing so we feel comfortable traveling. I haven't seen my family since the summer.
@cmhme Yes, my belly is also getting to the point where it's becoming awkward to reach down and pick things up! I wasn't expecting that so soon. But I guess it's almost the halfway point for me, lol.
@oli9 Wow, that does sound like a cramped living space. Sounds like you'll be able to add on to the space at some point so hopefully it won't be cramped for too long!
