2 showings today, 2 tomorrow! I don't know how much longer I honestly even want to run all over town like this LOL! We lost an offer today due to a contingency so blah. But on a lighter note, DS's school is FINALLY allowing parents back on campus again, and they have a President's Day program tomorrow so I'm super excited about it!
We did the car seat shuffle today! I know it’s early, but I was starting to panic that we wouldn’t be able to fit all 3 car seats across the back of our SUV. Wanted to have some time to come up with a solution, rather than a last minute panic. But we can - easily! Phew!! I also like to impose only a little change at a time. This will give the girls 2ish months to get used to the seating arrangement before throwing the 3rd one in there. I’ll take a photo once we get the infant seat washed up The car seats have always been my thing so the shuffle was all me (and cleaning / vacuuming the back of the car because why not when everything is taken apart), so now it’s time for a nice epsom salt bath soak.
@annashaf good for you! I tested out the car seat situation last weekend and it truly isn’t going to work in my vehicle. It looks like it’s going to be a mad dash for me to find and figure out how to finance a new vehicle in the next 2 months.. with my dad’s help because mh is unrealistic and refuses to be reasonable about this.
I’m with you on checking things off…i got a random urge to pack my hospital bag. So I’ve gathered/purchased toiletries and minimal makeup and lining up clothes. Only my bag though. Next I’ll tackle Baby No Names
@happynapper any chance you could get new car seats instead of a new vehicle? They’re not inexpensive either, but definitely more cost effective than a new car! Ours are Diono for the 2 bigger girls and a Graco infant seat, which will eventually turn into another Diono when babes outgrows the infant seat. Diono’s are very narrow (any of the seats with a “3” in the model) and they have multi-stage convertible options too. We do find rear facing, before a wedge can be used, a super pain in the butt because they’re so long they push up the passenger seat a great deal (depends on your actual vehicle seat shape too). Once a wedge can go in they’re good and even better forward facing. There’s another brand that is also well known for being narrow - CLEK I believe.

Yeah I tried a few arrangements but the outboard seats are quite roomy and are not actually an issue with the current seats I have… the middle seat in the 2nd row is what is positively unusable for 3 across even with the narrowest backless booster for my 6.5 year old (Cosco Rise, 14 inches 😱). From there I tried my next best option which is the older 2 in the back, baby alone in second row. Second row is a bench seat so there’s no way to leave 2 car seats in the 2nd row without having to remove one every time to fold the seat down for the 3rd kid to enter the 3rd row. With the FF convertible for my 3yo in the 3rd row, there is only one spot with a hook for the top tether, so the oldest sister in the booster will have to climb over the top of her to get off and on the bus twice a day, with only about 3 inches of leg room to do so. And also involves me having to physically climb into the 3rd row every time to buckle miss FF convertible because she can’t do that herself.
What I ultimately need is an SUV with captain seat in the 2nd row so that the oldest has easy access back to the 3rd row where she can buckle herself, and I can keep baby and 3 year old in the second row where I can easily get them buckled in where they need to be.
Oh the car seat conundrum has been such a stressor for me. Luckily we already had a minivan but will be utilizing every seat now. The two infant seats will be in the captains chairs and then we will have a convertible, booster and high back booster in the back row. We bought a Graco Slimfit3 LX and then have to try out different configurations before we invest in more seats. I posted in Car Seats for the Littles on FB about our situation and was able to get some recommendations. That group is a great resource!

I’m cashing in my anniversary gift (from October…) of a night by myself in a hotel room on Friday night, because time is ticking and I haven’t had time to till now. I am so freaking excited. Does anyone have any cheesy Netflix / Hulu / Amazon prime recommendations?!
@b_1029 my friends just recommended I Want You Back on Amazon Prime. It looks like a cheesy rom-com that I plan on checking out this weekend. The Tinder Swindler is a documentary that DH and I watched last week and it was very entertaining - not cheesy, but still highly recommend. And then Love Is Blind is a great guilty pleasure series to binge.
someone on another thread they trolled was saying they thought it was that racist Peggy troll from a few months ago or just some random bot... the speech is def all kinds of off so I'm also going with a bot but like... why the hell did it pick OUR bmb ETA: like which one of us triggered the magic bot word LOL
Today was a first, I finished a workout and legit almost passed out. Had to squat down and hold onto a bike. I even slept more than I have been last night so not sure what happened, but maybe my body is telling me I need to start eating something before I exercise. I typically don’t if I go to the 6 am class and will just have coffee on my way to the gym. 🤪
@b_1029 I forget if you’ve had labs checked (usually at the 28 wk appt)?? Definitely could be anemia, I’ve experienced similar and found out my Hgb is a little low

edit 2 I should add that my experiences have been ummm… like standing up from folding laundry on the floor, not working out 🙈 so either way you’re a rockstar
@b_1029 I'm over here fascinated you still have the energy to workout! I'm hoping to get into a routine post-partum, but I dropped the ball way early in this pregnancy lol.
@happynapper no I haven’t had any drawn for a while. I do have my glucose test next week. I’m going to mention it to my OB even though it was hopefully a one time thing. I did have a bunch of stars in my eyes when I bent over to pick up a package the other day so who knows.
@pajamstagrams I took a screenshot of her initial post but not others. This was randomly in the mental prep thread.
I can’t focus today. Work is mundane, yet tricky. I’m totally fatigued and feeling down. I want to go to bed. And there isn’t near enough activity on here today to serve as a useful distraction.
Apparently, today the baby weighs as much as a trumpet according to TB. This is super helpful information if you have ever held a trumpet. I however, have not 😂
@skc040512 I feel like a trumpet is heavier than they think....🤣 What did they say the weight was?? Not a trumpet player, but I am a band nerd so I've definitely held a trumpet

"You're not looking through a toilet paper or plastic tube in the middle of the street" 😂😂
Also I lurked on the TTGP post and this person (who I actually think is a he) provided his email address 😂
