Did you buy new bottle nipples for all the bottles between child #1 & #2?

When my son was born 4 years ago, he suffered with colic, so between tommee tippee, nuk and mam, we must have bought around 30-40 bottles. Some were used repeatedly, others hardly at all. Should I replace all of their nipples for the new baby regardless? TIA

I would, just because rubber breaks down.

I would because I’d be concerned about them having dried out and potentially cracking, however I’d probably just pick like 5-6 bottles to start with and not order 40 new nips right off the bat.

I purchased bottles for my son that never got used or got used minimally and will not be using them for this baby as I am worried about the plastic breakdown. Especially since some of them became visibly discolored so those got tossed immediately.

I know you’re supposed to replace used nipples but the bottles are okay to reuse. I was wondering about the nipples that go unused.  Like @marionberry19 our last kid didn’t use them. They’re just about two years old… anyone know an “expiration” on them? Google hasn’t helped much.

@KFrob my sons are the comotomo bottles and the silicone got discolored so the whole thing went in the garbage.

I'm wondering the same thing with pacifiers. My son only used his for 6 months. Can I just sterilize them?
