R/R: long day ahead today, school plus work. But tomorrow I'm nearly off, just at school for a couple hours lol. I'd forgotten just how busy I get during the semester when I also actually get hours at work.

CS/Q: I decided to move my O line to CD18 based on how much higher my temps are the last few days. I feel like maybe I O'd on the later side CD18, so I didn't have a full temp spike until CD20? It would make more sense with the rest of my signs combined with BBT than CD17 does, I think. Who knows, we'll see if/when I get a positive/my period.

@fantasyflyte good luck making it through your busy day. Moving your O-line to CD18 makes sense.

R/R: So I ended up posting my spotting questions on R e d d i t's Chinese Medicine subreddit and got a pretty good/through answer. Posting in the spoiler for any inquiring minds. 

We'd have to know more about your diagnosis and ideally all the herbs in the formulas to speculate since they're modified, but it seems to be they think Blood deficiency leading to Blood stasis (THSWT) along with dual Kidney deficiency (YGW/ZGW) and Spleen deficiency (BZYQT) leading to Lower Jiao Damp Heat (YDW) based off the formulas.

These are all fairly common formulas used in gynecology, and sometimes there can be some short-term undesirable side effects(called Ming Xuan) but they usually resolve quickly when the diagnosis is correct. The formula you're currently taking for phase 3 is Yu Dai Wan which is based off of Si Wu Tang just like Tao Hong Si Wu Tang, it's generally used more short term in the presence of deficiency, but is still relatively safe to use.

It sounds like your acupuncturist doesn't think it's cause for worry, and it's not uncommon for many women to experience ovulatory bleeding due to sudden changes in hormones, which the herbs will effect profoundly. This would especially be the case if it's light in color and amount which is also common in Deficiency conditions in CM. If this isn't the case or it doesn't stop soon, I'd contact them again for instruction. I hope you see great results!

The good news is that the spotting seems to have stopped; or at least I can't tell anymore since now I'm inputting orange-colored progesterone capsule up my vajayjay so that in itself causes TP discoloration. Yay me.
