My old girl, Misha the vizsla. She’ll be 13 next month and it makes me so sad how old she’s getting 😭 I never had a dog growing up so she’s my first dog/first baby.

@coco2787 she’s beautiful! ❤️ Payton is my first dog/baby. I got him with I was 18. Seeing them age and decline is heartbreaking. He has such a hard time with stairs and regularly takes a tumble.
@itsme215, we also lost our first two girls, Jenna (age 9, black and white) in 2020 to IMHA (very sudden autoimmune disorder), and Cayla (age 9, brown and white) this past December to leukemia, which she battled most of 2021. Totally relate, and not a day goes by that I don't think of them. We had planned on getting a puppy for a year before it all fell into place. Cayla and Cora only overlapped for about a month. Sometimes I think a middle name of Jayla would be a cute way of saying they are guardian angels for our baby.
Thank you @kbtt2022! I have two different eye colors as well, and our birthdays are a day apart. She’s the first and only dog I’ve ever had and I’ve always felt like she was born to be mine 💕
@tmartin014 oh wow. I’ve had it since birth. Up until around age 10 I had 1 green eye and 1 brown eye and then it starting darkening. So the green is more like hazel now. I’d say most people don’t even notice unless they’re staring.
@and_peggy don’t mind at all! When I was not quite 2 our family was camping (or not camping, depending on your position on tents 🤣) and I fell out of the camper straight onto the concrete on my head. Got heterochromia and a cataract for my troubles. The cataract has never grown and I have perfect vision in the other eye that compensates well enough for it, so I don’t even wear contacts or glasses. I have one dark dark brown (the injured eye) and the other is light brown/hazel so same as you, most people don’t notice unless they’re staring or I’m in bright sun
@and_peggy my mom carries a lot of guilt about it and it always makes me feel so sad for her. Especially now as a mom, I know we’re all just doing our best. Other than extra eye appointments it hasn’t negatively affected my life and I got some cool eyes out of it!
Scout (female, everyone mistakes her for male because of her name but c'mon, To Kill a Mockingbird? Scout is a girl's name.) She a mix, not sure what, but we think papillon and Italian Greyhound. We should do her DNA.
Our old man cat we adopted a few years ago. He was a stray living on the property of my daughter's school. They emailed the parents to see if anyone wanted to foster him for winter (Idaho winters are no joke). We took him and fell in love. He is the SWEETEST cat I've ever known.
@mdfarmchick aww Remy looks like my in-laws dog who passed recently. She was a lhasa apso named Sasha. They have such similar coloring and faces. So sweet. Our cat totally adopted us too. I love when that happens.
This was a BRILLIANT IDEA. I love all the fuzzy loves in here (even the ones where "fuzzy" is feathered!)
Here are mine: (sorry, these are probably gonna be huge)
Mango lookin cute for the camera and asking to go under the blanket for snuggles. He is my first real blankie kitty and I love it so much.
Guava following his morning routine of … making sure the shower didn’t get too wet? I’m really not sure why he does this, but every morning he gets in and rambles around in the shower while I dry off.
The boys snuggling one morning. They’re bonded brothers and while Guava is an absolute heathen child 90% of the time and Mango is unnecessarily skittish for some unknown reason, they are too stinking precious when they’re snuggling.
This is a very old picture of Buddy the Christmas Elf.
MH did not want Buddy. His acquisition story is a wild ride and kind of a long one, but the salient point is that MH did not want a dog, and he definitely did not want this dog. But I did, so we brought him home in December 2018, put him through six months of heartworm treatments, and wound up with a completely different dog than we thought we were getting once he was healthy. 😂
Every night, when MH gets home from work, he and Buddy do something called “pawtrol” where he tells Buddy “up” and Buddy gets on the back of the couch and basically jumps into MH’s arms and then MH carries him around the living room looking out all the windows and sniffing all the high pieces of furniture. It is precious and I love it. Unfortunately it also means 75-80% of my pictures of the dog are of this routine, and thus have MH’s face in them. The rest of them are either blurred or butt shots because he is part Jack Russell and acts like a puppy even though he is likely somewhere between 6 and 8 years old at this point. (We try to ignore this bit.)
This is Righley she’s going to be 12 in June and is MH and my first baby, we got her when we moved in together after a year of dating. She is getting up there in age and recently it seems to be catching up with her which is devastating. I’m hoping she continues in good health so our baby can meet our fur baby.
These are our babies- Bonnie, Ricky Bobby in the back, Stella and Rebel. Ironic that we are having twins.. will have to come up with a creative pairs announcement photo now.
These pics are from my sister's birthday this past August.
On the left is my Murphy, my Husky-German Shepherd mix. He was 14, almost 15. We had to put him down at Christmas. He suddenly got very sick and couldn't walk. On the right is Buffy, our chihuahua. She just turned 13.
Missing this old man today especially. It would have been his 15th birthday. He was the cutest, dumbest, goofiest dog. I hope all dogs go to Heaven, like they do in the movies.
We have 2 dogs (Huck and Kodak), 2 cats (Rune and Cleo), and 2 Guinea pigs (Colin and Benedict) and now adding two more human kids to our family. A full house for sure!
@regalmommy1 why is it that the gray tabbies are always the heathens??? 😂😂😂 my grey-tabby Guava is the single naughtiest kitten I think I’ve ever had the pleasure to host.
@mangoandguava. I know right? Maybe they're from the same litter . It's funny because he has a sweet side and likes to cuddle (dd1 mostly), but the amount of audacity this cat has is unreal. Not to mention no fear, sense of self-preservation or spacial awareness. DH describes him as energy that doesn't realize he has a physical body lol. He also thinks Wednesday is his personal wrestling bag.
@regalmommy1 Guava toooooooo! He is the sweetest little snuggler. When he’s not, you know, trying to climb this big canvas print my MIL gave us so he can sit on top of the frame, or play with the TV while MH is playing video games. “Energy that doesn’t know he has a body” is a PERFECT description.

Remy, 7 going on 8, our British Shih Tzu
Loki, the cat that adopted us 3 years ago as a stray baby kitten. We had no idea he would end up bigger than the Trucc—he’s part Maine Coon
