This is what happens when I have a peaceful weekend to myself without service, I come in hot with the TFAS weekly check-in. I hope I didn't take someone's joy by getting it started 😂

What number are you trying for? 4

Month/Cycle? 3/2

WTO/TWW? TWW

Ages of other child(ren)? 4.5g, ~3b, 1+b

Any thoughts about this cycle? I think this is the one guys! Of course I thought that about the last one too 😂. Nothing quite like the optimism of ~4dpo to start the week/end the month.

Any questions? I always think of them when I'm away from my phone, but am stumped once I'm here.

Rant/Rave? Rave: hubs and the kids did great without me last weekend. Rant: having to pump so I wasn't uncomfortable and don't get mastitis was a minor annoyance.

GTKY: If you had to be the same age forever, what age would you be and why? At least my current age (39) and maybe older. My younger self was an idiot. I hope I continue to mature into a more kind and patient person, but if not, I'd like to keep my still (mostly) functional body.

@sejica Haha, never worry about stealing someone's joy! It's a miracle if we get all the threads started on the first day of the week usually so all initiative is awesome.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Feeling relatively calm about it. Hopeful, of course, but I feel like this is the part of the cycle when I can detach the most and try to focus on non-TTC things. 

Any questions? I want to test on 12 DPO so I can quit progesterone if it's a BFN. Probably a stupid question, but which kind of test would be most likely to pick up that early if it happens to be a BFP? I have like two First Response and a bunch of Easy at Home strips. I'd rather not use the First Response just because it's pricier, but I will if that would be more definitive at 12 DPO.

Rant/Rave? We're trying to figure out where we're sending DD to kindergarten in the fall. It's stressful to worry about making a wrong decision! She will either go to her districted public school or a magnet program she was accepted into. We're scheduling tours and I hope we will have a clear favorite after we get some more information. 

GTKY: If you had to be the same age forever, what age would you be and why? Hm, while there are aspects I loved of earlier eras in life (i.e. college), I don't think I'd want to be that age forever. Some of those eras are special specifically because we know they are finite. I'm pretty happy with where I am right now, although maybe I'd go with a few years younger so I could de-age my eggs a little.

@sejica I’m glad you got it started! Thanks! Agreed with the younger stupid self… I don’t know I would go back to a younger age for that reason 😂 

@abjm0325 I had a lot of success last time with wondfo strips. I also LOVE the dollar tree HPT, they catch it pretty early, also.

Any thoughts about this cycle? I’m getting so excited! I feel like my body is cooperating and we are both starting to get into the rhythm again. I keep asking DS if he’s ready to be a big brother 😂

Rant/Rave? DS is talking so much all of a sudden! His new favorite is trying to get our Amazon dot to play the wheels on the bus 😂 I keep hearing “lexa! School bus! Beep beep!” 

GTKY: If you had to be the same age forever, what age would you be and why? I really liked 32! I was just starting at my forever school, I was at my healthiest weight, running 5 miles a day, and I was just so young and free without being stupid young. 😂😂😂

@abjm0325 I totally agree about the TWW, at least from 3dpo-8dpo, then I get antsy wanting to test/anxious over getting my period and having to start all over.
I've not used easy at home, but the internet consensus was 12dpo is reasonably likely to provide the faint line you would want to decide to continue progesterone, and should be dark enough to confirm by 14dpo. Some people reported as early as 9dpo. Worst case, take an easy at home, and if it's a squinter you have an excuse to use a first response.
Re: magnet, I strongly recommend the magnet now. In our area it's much harder to get in the magnet later if you wait. If it's not a good fit, it'll be easy enough to pivot to the districted public school.

@abjm0325 oh i hope the tours go well, that sounds exciting about the magnet program! 
@ejoseph16 the word explosion is so exciting, and before you know you'll be getting these crazy full on sentences like "mama i need help you" it's precious when they're slightly off, too.

Rant/Rave? just here plugging along, didn't feel well all day yesterday between headache/light headed and i think it's just a hormone drop, i slept off an on most of the day and still managed to sleep at night so clearly my body needed it. had a headache this morning but ibuprofen helped.

GTKY: If you had to be the same age forever, what age would you be and why? this is hard, i've enjoyed different ages for various reasons. currently 34 can piss off, this age has been hard with life events. i am very much looking forward to 35 so i think that's what i'm going to say.

@anniemarie887 I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well. Hopefully it will be a short-lived disruption in hormone levels.

Any thoughts about this cycle? With my first I did BBT but my sleep is so disrupted between my existing kid, work, my husband working from home, I didn’t think I had the energy for it and just decided to rely on OPKs. But I got pregnant the first time on a cycle where I never had a positive OPK. 😂 So I’m now on cycle day 15 and my OPKs have been REAL negative but I usually have 28 day cycles so I don’t know whether to believe them or if I just missed my LH surge or overhydrated myself into negative tests because I got this really good tea recently and I’ve been drinking a LOT of it. 😅 

Any questions? The above probably looked like it was going to turn into a question, but I know I just need to keep peeing on some OPKs for a few more days and then waiting to see if my period happens ~day 28 or two weeks after I get a positive.

GTKY: If you had to be the same age forever, what age would you be and why? Hm, probably a little older than what I am now (36), maybe 40-45. When I was younger it was hard to be taken seriously at work, and that’s only just started to get better, so I’d like to look a little older. When I was much younger, I was as dumb as everyone thought. 😂 But my back hurts sometimes and I worry that’ll be more of a problem as I age, so not too much older. UNLESS I have infinite risk free hormone replacement therapy, then maybe I’d pick whatever age is one year post-menopausal, so I’m the youngest age that periods are completely gone. Having periods post fertility but pre menopausal seems very annoying! Anyway so my final answer is ~50.

@ejoseph16 I had to hide our amazon dot because my 3 yo kept telling it to turn the TV on and off repeatedly!

@krb99 what CD did you start doing OPKs on? Maybe start a little sooner next cycle if this one doesn't work? Could be you're ovulating a couple of days earlier than you think.

Rant/Rave? Both of my kids just got over what I'm pretty sure was hand, foot, & mouth. I was happy it wasn't covid but DD2 had such high fevers it really scared me for a bit. DD1 keeps asking when is the doctor putting the baby in my belly. I guess doing IVF makes it a bit easier to explain where babies come from? 

GTKY: If you had to be the same age forever, what age would you be and why? Hmm probably 31-32. I feel like I was at a pretty good point then and had matured and had a good amount of life experience.

@abjm0325 this may be too late but I had a grad tell me that the wondfo early result (has to be the early result, not the regular) was pretty much as sensitive as a FRER based on comparisons she has done when testing out hcg

@abjm0325 @shortstack930 Thanks! I turned my OPK positive today, which is cycle day 16, which is not that far off from 14, so I guess I’ve just been 🎶overthinking it🎶.
