Who are your favorite musicians?

I listen to a lot of "angry chick" music - Tori Amos, Indigo Girls, Ani Difranco.  But I like nearly everything other than most metal and most rap.

I like most everything! I do really like rap (some of it) and my husband is super into metal so I’ve grown to appreciate it. My husband is also super into Latin music and we listen to a lot of that. We’re eclectic. I’m not picky. My son is super musical and that’s been fun to watch/listen to! He sings really nicely and on pitch and has good rhythm. We have a lot of music stuff around, and I just love having good music on!

While it would initially appear that I only like country, I really do enjoy most genres of music. I've been known to work all day to Chillhop or Cozy jazz.

How can you pick favorites?! Favorites include but are not limited to:

I feel like my musical tastes are a bit all over but if I had to pick one genre it would be the oldies. 60’s/70’s soul/funk in particular! But I also love Latin music (Selena on repeat) and if I’m in the car by myself it’s poorly sung show tunes at the top of my lungs 😂

@leannechristina I'm down with pretty much all your list except I don't know the Five Finger Death Punch or Three Days Grace.

Ii tell my students when they ask that I don't like music. I prefer to drive in silence or listen to a podcast or audiobook. With that being said I'm still listening to music from college and high school. 

Josh Ritter, Kevin Devine, Iron and Wine, and Death cab for cutie are my go to. Quiet, calm, folky type music. 

For bedtime music for the kids I'm really liking Ed Sheeran - Sandman (if you haven't heard it, listen to it, it's a super sweet lullaby) and from frozen 2 there's a lullaby that plays that I like a lot too but don't know the name. Thank you amazon music.

Pop punk and emo. If you can think of a popular band in this genre I probably like it. 

Blink 182, MCR, Fall Out Boy, etc… 🖤

I listen to literally all music. At the gym I listen to rock (think Korn & Disturbed), when I’m trying to smash out work I have a tropic house playlist going. Driving I’ll throw on a random playlist with all genres or Disney music so I can sing along 😂 love a good throwback and pretty much all music that’s been in any triple j hottest 100
