First Time Mom - Questions RE Genetic Testing and Scans

I was unable to get a result on NIPT testing due to low fetal fraction. All of our ultrasounds have had some difficulty visualizing everything but nothing has been seen as abnormal. 

Our doctor brought up amniocentesis today because we have no chromosomal information on the baby. I’m almost 24 weeks and there’s nothing in the scans that makes the doctor think we should be worried. 

I’m just curious how many people relied on good ultrasounds alone and had healthy happy babies? I feel so concerned now following our appt today. Like because we don’t have chromosome information there’s no way this baby could be okay? Just looking for some support and feedback. Thanks!
