Re: Weekly Check-in 1/10
Also, I hate the limbo period between a positive test and the first appointment. 😖
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
I'm terrible at picking "favorites" for anything. I think I'll go with a weekend I spent in Paris as a PD for Eftours so I was with a bunch of other teachers, it was free, and I got to explore a city I never dreamed I'd go to.
@jhysmath you would be amazed (or maybe not) at how many people will hope themselves into believing that an evap line is a positive. I know it's annoying, but I guarantee you that's what this is about - not wanting to do ultrasounds on people who aren't actually pregnant.
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
I normally don't get indigestion/heartburn, but I do during pregnancy, so I keep a bottle of Tums stashed in various places I might be.
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
That said, you're not really a team yet until you officially find out. 😉 Just to give you a heads up. Unless you already know (I believe some people doing IVF may know ahead of time...?).
The symptom I didn't realize was a possibility that really sucks, is pregnancy carpal tunnel. My last kid, I couldn't feel half of my hand for the last 2 months until 8 weeks postpartum. With my first it was just annoying at night I'd wake up can my haha would be numb. For the last one, not being able to open water bottles because you can't feel your hands is such an awful thing.

Rants/Raves: Its been almost 15 years since the last time I was pregnant. I was pretty sure certain things hadn't changed. Still can't drink alcohol? Check. Still can't eat raw fish? Check. But when did cold cuts become a threat?!? Also, when I was younger, I hated coffee. In the past two years however, I have grown to love venti beverages and now I am cut off. **grumble grumble** But apparently tattoos are still an option? Excellent.
Questions: I am older now and I hope my body is still in peak condition to grow a baby. My OB/GYN said more women are waiting to have a kids so having kids at an older age is getting normalized but I am scared something will pop up and make my pregnancy high risk.
GTKY: What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken?
Last year I went to Puerto Rico. It was the first vacation I ever took responsibility for, paid for, and planned beginning to end. I am very proud of myself. I look forward to more traveling soon!
My last pregnancy left me overweight. I am still breastfeeding so this might be why. For this one, I am going to focus on eating super clean and gaining 20 lbs max.
It's true they don't want you to lose weight during pregnancy no matter your initial BMI. But dieticians and nutritionists are part of the pregnancy team also, especially if you have gestational diabetes. It's not about losing weight but maintaining and eating healthy.
