Re: WTF/Winning Wednesday - 1/5

  • WTF: Our countertops are STILL not sorted out. This has been a month-long saga and is the last piece we need to move into our new home 😭
  • @karisahamdi I joined a ‘building a new home group’ on fb and it’s starting to scare the bejeezus out of me. For reasons just like you stated. 😂

  • WTF: I wanted to order pizza tonight but the pizza place I love is closed due to staffing shortages and COVID. 😭😭😭😭

  • WTF: my kids have taken turns being sick since Christmas, I didn't even know 2 year olds could get sinus infections, she's miserable,  I'm tired.

Winning:  last night when DD was crying all night, I tapped out and asked my husband for help which I very rarely do, I always try to play the martyr and suffer thru alone. Ended up sleeping a few hours in my other daughter's room while he tended to her. I'm counting it as a win  ;) (he is always more than willing to help, he just sleeps way heavier than me and I never wake him)

  • @jackdetroit how did they even diagnose a sinus infection in a toddler? I feel like that's something you have to be able to say " my face feels like it's been hit with a hammer". Sorry she's feeling bad!
  • @pajamstagrams She's got green mucus coming out of her nose and both eyes, fluid in both ears (infection in one) and her face is swollen from the pressure! It's disgusting times over here lol

  • @jackdetroit omg poor baby! 😭 That sounds horrible.
  • @jackdetroit can she take anything for it ? Feel like there are no medicines for little ones besides Tylenol.
  • @addsprinkles521 they prescribed her an anti-biotic. She can also do Tylenol or benadryl. She is terrible with medicine though so we usually resort to the Feverall suppositories. Blech.

  • I know it’s Thursday but why not. I didn’t even see this yesterday lol

Winning- we’ve made it to Thursday with only one mental breakdown from me (we won’t mention all the toddler breakdowns) and DH and I are surprisingly getting along working from home in the same house.

My wtf is sad / trigger warning-y so I’ll put it in a spoiler.
One of my good friends lost her husband on New Year’s Day and they’re laying him to rest today. It is just so unfair that anyone our age has to deal with that kind of loss and I have just been asking the universe a giant wtf for the last 2 weeks or so.
