Little background- I am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant with my 3rd pregnancy (no living children). It started off weird with 9 days of spotting and I was out on progesterone and estrogen. I had HCG levels drawn last Monday (170) and Wednesday (470).
Sunday I noticed that I lost all of my symptoms (breast tenderness and fatigue). I also had very little spotting which now stopped. I called my fertility specialist and OB (since I didn’t hear back from my fertility specialist.
My OB drew my HCG levels yesterday and they were at 3100. My fertility specialist drew them today (about 19 hours later) and they were at 4200. She also did a scan which is measuring 5 weeks 3 days and could only see a sac. I know it is still early but I am measuring 2 days behind and two days ago would be Sunday when I lost all of my symptoms. Anyone have a similar experience?
Symptoms have no bearing on the outcome of pregnancy. Some people have only 1 symptom - a missed period. Others are so sick they need to be hospitalized. Some have their symptoms come and go. Some have strong symptoms then they dissipate.
Trust your numbers and yest you won't see much in an ultrasound right now, but work close w/ your doctor. That is all you can do.

There is about +/- 5 day uncertainty for early US. And unless you did IVF the baby could implant on the later side, explaining your younger embryo. Depending on how you were tracking that could add more uncertainty.

At 5+3 it would be normal to only see a gestational sac. I've had an ER ultrasound at 5+2 (it was an actual emergency) and all they saw was a gest sac.
All you can do is wait at this point, unfortunately.
