What are the 3 BEST/GREATEST/MOST POSITIVE things that you accomplished or that happened to you in 2021?

What are 3 things you are looking forward to most in 2022?

This is fun!

2021- I got a promotion, we bought a new house, and we celebrated DD turning a year old / us making it a year 😅 (plus, got pregnant)

2022- I’m looking forward to this baby being born and seeing her + DD together, continuing with therapy and hopefully becoming a better version of myself, and honestly for maternity leave because I’m so sick of work haha

I’m really proud of myself for putting my art out there this year, and I had several paid commissions that were not from family or friends! This was a huge personal achievement for me.

DD learned to ride her bike without training wheels this past summer. So proud of her!

DH landed an awesome job after dealing with layoffs from his previous company and then needing to be home to teach DD due to school closures all spring/summer. Super proud of him too.

Honourable mention goes to this jelly bean somehow getting through a (obviously failed) vasectomy and birth control, haha. Well done, kid.

Next year we are very much looking forward to moving into our new home, seeing the Rocky Mountains again, and becoming a family of 4. ❤️

2021: keeping a little human alive for a year, creating a second little human, and surviving the car ride to and from Florida with an 18 month old. 

2022: meeting this little one (though I know they will be a trouble maker already), seeing my best friend get married, and cross some more national parks off the family bucket list.

2021: Our wedding, buying our first home, and getting pregnant with LO after our loss in July. 

2022: Meeting our baby boy, finally moving into our new home, and taking the summer off for Maternity leave.

2021: Marrying my wonderful husband, watching my husband accept his role as a Deacon within our church, finally standing up for what is right even when it’s hard (but knowing that it’s necessary), and most importantly getting pregnant with our first baby! 

2022: Meeting my baby boy, watching my husband become a father (he’s already so amazing with his niece and nephew I can’t wait to see him with our son!), and a possible promotion opportunity in the fall.

May 2022 be blessed with doors of opportunity for each and every one of us!

2021: Homeschooling my 5 year old for kindergarten - something we always planned on doing but I felt incredibly unprepared for and she has absolutely crushed it! Nursing DS to 14 months, exclusively breast feeding, DH and I finding a new home church and actually starting to make friends with people in the same point of life as us (getting KU is the obvious answer here so I went with other options lol)

2022: having this little girl and being done with pregnancy lol, starting on house projects to make the house we’re  in few more like our forever home, and getting backyard chickens lol

2021: finally getting my mental health back to a good place after the shitshow that was 2020, successfully losing 100lbs after bariatric surgery, and surviving Hurricane Ida.

2022: moving/building our new home, finally getting this pregnancy over with and meeting this baby girl, watching my husband and my children with the new baby as we transition to becoming a family of 5.

2021: being in touch with my emotions and not letting the “stew and explode”, getting rooms furnished and decorated in our house (still locking some wall art, tbh), finding that work/life balance and not bending to people please.

2022: having a little boy, find a new career to better achieve the work/life and carving out me time and setting a reading goal.

So this year I bought a new car, finished paying off my student loans, and of course got pregnant which I’m super psyched about.

Super excited for 2022 will be buying a house, my son will get 2 new siblings which I’m sooo excited about, and my hubby also gets a huge pay raise in 2022 cause of seniority. So, we are looking forward to all of that.
