Today I had "threat management training" for work. All day seminar. Probably the best training session I've ever done. It was exceptionally put together. We had a bunch of senarios to do, and they were REALLY good.
For the last one of the day, the instructor took me aside before my team went down into the basement for the scenario. He told me "for this one, I need you to go straight in, and head right to the back far corner of the room and wait there".
We could hear literal SCREAMING when the groups before us went. So I assumed I was being tasked with being the sacrificial lamb, and that my partners were going to have to choose between saving me or saving themselves.
Anyway, the scenario starts, and like a good little rule-follower, I go to the back corner, expecting to find the patient. My coworkers who had already gone through were all back there looking at me like I was crazy. My partner was also trying to figure out what TF I was doing, as we had been told the patient was in the office in the other direction.
Suddenly, a machete-weilding 6'5 blood covered screaming man comes running into the room and ran at my partners in the office. The terror on my partners face was real, and he threw our partner and the bystander behind him, and was using his own body as a shield. I was busy in the back corner, pressing my panic button and calling a Mayday into dispatch. But oh my goodness it was amazing to see that the partner was willing to protect others, in what felt like a life and death situation!
Anyway, I talked to the instructors after, and was like.. "I figured I was going to be trapped and they had to decide to save me or not..."
And he said "naw. I just really didn't want to scare you into premature labour....."😅 Very considerate of them!

Just had my OB appointment this morning. All looks good. 26+1 today but measuring over 30 weeks...watch, he'll end up being my smallest baby yet 🤣

In other news found out today that I don’t have gestational diabetes, so that’s good.
Unfortunately, though, despite a prenatal with iron and my best efforts to eat decent, I’m anemic so the OB wants me on iron pills and if when they draw my blood at my next appointment they aren’t satisfied with my iron levels they said I would need to get it via IV for the rest of the pregnancy.
The idea makes my head spin a bit.
So many appointments to keep track of already, hoping the pills do the trick.
So, at 26 weeks (roughly) I had my rescan from previous issues at 20 week AS. Choroid plexus cyst on brain and dilated kidneys. So, I read the US report online a day later and seen the kidneys were still dilated but due to position/age of baby, they weren't able to determine Choroid plexus. Well, I have an OB appt monday..today I received a call from my OB himself telling me that he's had these results on his desk for 4 days trying to decide whether to call me or wait until my scheduled appt. He suggested bloodwork to look for chromosomal abnormalities as my scans are looking like Trisomy 13,18, or 21.....He is also referring me to MFM at a larger hospital with a high risk specialist for a better Ultrasound Scan to determine if there are more abnormalities. He plans to get me in before the holidays. I feel rushed and that worries me more Guys...I have cried all evening. I am absolutely terrified and I know I'm getting ahead of myself and letting my emotions get the best of me. My brain tells me wait until you know more...but I am SO scared of the unknown.

I've got my GTT tomorrow but it's only an hour. I'm HOPING they will let me wonder the mall...I've got some small gifts left to pick up. I've also got a boat load of studying to do so I'll bring a textbook.
But you having to be there for 3 hours is cruddy!
She was off sick for the last 3 days.
One of my big tasks at work is taking payments for license renewals. I then make up a new license card and send it to my boss for authorization/signature before sending it to the customer.
It's an excessively busy time of year because There are roughly 1000 licensed technicians whose licenses all expire on December 31st. And of course they all left it to the last minute to renew.
By 10:00 a.m. I had sent my boss at least a dozen renewal cards to sign.
I get the impression the new boss is frustrated and overwhelmed with the amount of work in the position.
She emailed me back saying "did you bother sending any of these to the person who was covering while (she) was off sick."
I replies that all of the ones I had sent her had come in this morning 😂
I had one shift that I had over 30 I sent to the last boss.... newbie is in for a surprise over the next few weeks hahaha.
