@melanier26 what a weird thing to require pre-authorization. Progesterone??
@stardustskies feel better! How are your symptoms? Mild I hope? I think the cookie you're talking about is typically called a peanut butter blossom but that's not what my family calls it.

Anyway, I told him that this time I do *not* want to know - multiple times - and he actually admitted that he’s the one who can’t stand to wait. 😂 I totally called it but it feels goooooood to hear him say it!
we just had one this past week and it went great but funny story...so MIL is a NICU nurse and SIL is an L&D nurse at the hospital where we will be delivering, however we have told NO ONE about being KO. So in this appt I was supposed to see the NP - and there's a new one, so I booked her so I could meet her (I try to see everyone who's new at least once). Yeah...the new NP is one of SIL's bffs. Like I totally saw her name on the list and it never connected. And I even saw her this summer at SIL's and she told me she's an NP now! I asked her not to let it slip to SIL, and we both were like "I mean there's HIPPA, but do your best not to let it slip because we're all human." I'm sure it'll be fine bc everyone in the OB's office knows MIL and SIL and they didn't let the cat out of the bag on the last too, but this hit a little closer. lol
Rant: can I just abandon my nose? Just lose the sense of smell for a bit here? So tired of feeling fine and then almost puking because “bad smell”
I can’t clean my dang house and that’s making it worse. My husband is trying, but he’s sort of disabled and can’t really keep up.
Rave: my mom has decided she can make it work and she is coming out for the birth. I am SO relieved my big boys will have a grandma to take care of them.

@laeberge3 - It's so hard to focus at work! The week before Christmas should just be an automatic vacation!
@melanier26 - I haven't had to eat in the middle of the night yet, but I do wake up starving sometimes and contemplate going downstairs for a snack!
@stardustskies - Hope you feel better soon! I also love those cookies, but the ones I've had are peanut butter, not sugar cookie!
@inthewoods23 - Gosh now I'm craving tater tots really bad!!! lol We won't have have a registry because we already have everything. But, we should start a thread about product recommendations though! I'll have a huggggge list of things to recommend you register for/buy!
@twentythree19 - No advice on team green because I'm way too much of a planner and have to know ASAP lol
@tuxielove93 - A lot of women lose weight during the first trimester - it's totally normal! With DD, I had only gained 5lbs by the 20 week mark - but it starts packing on fast after that!
@tuxielove93 I feel you on the nose thing! my toddler also still hates to poop in the potty and we have been alternating between weeks of no poop and weeks of a ton of poop and it is not helping my nose situation!
@inthewoods23 we'll probably start a registry after we announce - so probably in January or so. - last baby I did Target, Amazon, and Buy Buy Baby - with most things being from BBB. Except our BBB where I live now is closing down so I think we'll just do a Target and Amazon registry because I am not about having to drive 30+ miles to return stuff or ship stuff back. this is our 2nd kiddo so I actually don't anticipate we'll get much from anyone - but I will still do registries to get completion coupons and freebies
@melanier26 RE night time wakings - i'm not waking to pee yet but if my toddler wakes me up at night and I'm up for any length of time i need to eat. I also need to eat first thing in the AM so i keep chocolate coconut covered almonds by my bed - a little quick sugar and a little fat/protein and it helps

Does anyone think it's worth it to do a NIPT?
@inthewoods23 we did Amazon and Target last time. A couple of friends did Babylist and I liked shopping from that so I may do that this time if I do one at all.
@laeberge3 + 1 for wanting to sit on the couch and watch all of the Christmas movies!
@melanier26 luckily I am a heavy sleeper but I keep crackers by the bed to eat as soon as I wake up because I wake up starving!
@laeberge3 yes to all the Christmas movies!
@melanier26 hope insurance doesn't give you any issursy, that's frustrating!
@stardustskies hope you are feeling better!
@inthewoods23 will probably do target or Amazon just to get a completion discount. Both my boys were winter babes so might need to update some things. My SIL did babylist which is nice because you can add from any website but I'm not sure if you can get discount then
@feather_heather glad you were able to get DD in, I hope everything goes smoothly and you get it figured out!
@runnergirl2018 I think I'll be pulling out my maternity pants soon, too! (And due date buddy!)
@creativesoul63 enjoy your weekend, sounds like fun!
@laeberge3 I love that you have an understanding OB. That makes such a huge difference.
@melanier26 I hate insurance crap soooo much! What do you normally need progesterone for? If it makes you feel any better, my RE just took me off of my progesterone and I’m only 7w5d (we did an IUI, so the progesterone was just for support). I got nervous about coming off of it so early but after doing a little research, I feel much better.
@stardustskies I’m so sorry you have covid. I hope you stay mild. I hate that it caused you to have to reschedule your appointment. But 12/21 will be here before you know it!
@inthewoods23 Oh man! Could you just announce to close family at Christmas time? It could still be special that way? For registries we did 3 different ones, Buy buy baby, Target, and Amazon. You should get a gift basket from each of them. Plus they give you completion discount codes at the end, so whatever is left on your registry, presumably after your showers, you should be able to get a discount on. This could definitely be a good topic for product spotlight, if it’s not already on there (I can’t keep track).
@twentythree19 Oh wow, that is a close one with the NP being your SILs friend. Hopefully they won’t spill the beans. Good luck on staying team green! I would love to be able to do that… but I’m impatient AF lol.
@tuxielove93 I would probably reach out to your midwife at this point if you’re still losing weight. I think I remember you saying you’re pretty small to begin with. Losing weight in the first trimester isn’t that uncommon but losing too much weight could be concerning. Better to just check in with them.
@feather_heather Dang! NIPT and NT scan already!? I can’t believe the cardiologists wanted to cancel your DD’s appointment without even seeing her!? What?! I don’t get it. Seems super sketchy. I’m glad you’re getting in to see someone you trust at the end of the day.
@runnergirl2018 The heart of the ocean diamond seems so big! I can’t believe how far along we’re all getting! I’ve definitely started wearing maternity pants already lol. I know mine is 100% just holiday weight/pregnancy bloat, but it’s more comfortable to just accept it than to try to squeeze into my normal jeans lol.
@peppylilfoxy I definitely think the NIPT is worth it. Check out our thread about it. There have been a lot of helpful conversations over there.
@creativesoul63 I can’t imagine twins. I asked during my ultrasound yesterday if there was only one lol (we did an IUI and triggered with 2 mature follicles, so it was possible that both implanted). Nope, just the one. Anyways, I know it seems daunting right now, but I’m confident you guys will figure it out!
@sjb2215 Yay for getting in this afternoon. I’ve never heard of a women’s center. What is that?
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 29th, 7w5d
FTM/STM/STM+: STM
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a Berlingot candy
Upcoming appointments: We had an ultrasound yesterday to confirm viability and get discharged from the RE. Next appointment with the OB will be Jan 11th. We’ll have to wait till then to get the NT scan and NIPT ordered.
How are you feeling?: I’ve been sick with a cold for the past 4-5 days. I’m finally starting to feel better but I still have a dry cough that keeps me up at night. I swear I didn’t get any sleep last night.
Rants/Raves: Seeing our LO yesterday brought me over the moon! It’s such a relief, especially since I wasn’t having much symptoms at all. If I didn’t know I was pregnant, then I wouldn’t have thought that my slight nausea or tiredness was anything at all.
We got discharged from the RE yesterday and they instructed me to stop taking the progesterone. It makes me a little nervous. I’m pretty sure we kept taking it till week 9 last time. But they said they would have had me stop it sooner (like right after my BFP) but since I had some spotting they had me continue it till now. I’m glad to be done with them… but it still makes me nervous!
Questions: nope
GTKY: what's your favorite Christmas/holiday cookie? Oh my gosh. This is such a hard question to answer. I have such a sweet tooth. They are all so good. One of my many favorites are date balls. Lol, does that make me sound light an old grandma? It’s my grandma’s favorite too.

7/29 7+6
we have been team green with all other pregnancies, but with this one being a complete shock, that might be enough of a surprise.
repeat ultrasound to check on growth 12/22 then I’ll get a referral of MFM
nervous! Confirmed babies are Mono-Di, but one is measuring smaller with a slower (though still normal) HR.
not to be a Scrooge, but I’m ready for the holidays to be over! I feel like I’ve been purchasing gifts for months!

@tsh2021 thank you! Can't wait to try them
@melanier26 yup I feel the exact same way. Last night I promised DH I would stay up and look over gifts, stockings, start wrapping and make a list of any little last minute items we need. I fell asleep while he was putting my son to bed 🤦♀️ I'm so lucky I'm a teacher and off this week - going to have to drop my son at my mom's so I can get everything done during the short windows in the day when I am feeling decent! It's so tough - also my fav time of year and this year is just a giant struggle. I am trying to think about how much fun NEXT year will be to cheer myself up about it haha
