Hi everyone.

I was here around this time last year but left as now DH and I were taking a break to plan our wedding that was last month. I debated about coming back as I wasn't sure if I should really be here.

So just to recap:

Ages (you and SO):  me: 38, hub: 29

How many months have you been TTC?: Officially since August, been completely off BC since May.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?:  BBT, Ovulation tracking, prenatal vitamins, good old fashioned hanky panky.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)

So long story short, hub is #3, I have a now 16 year old daughter from #1. #2 was a mistake that only last a few years.

DH and I have always talked about having kids even though at this point it's a long shot. I had hoped to have more children but #1 and I split when DD was 5 (at that point he decided he didn't want any more) and #2 was definitely not dad material. More time has passed that I would have liked but we are trying anyway.

Anyhoo, DH and I both work in the Grocery business for two separate (rivaling) companies, which is a story in itself and kinda funny. We have a furry Void (black cat) who is constantly guarding us from the bathroom demons (she sits and stares into the darkend bathrooms). DD and DH get along great, although she is going through a bit of an Anime Emo stage at the moment and lives in her bedroom, so thats fun.

Am actually coming to the end of a cycle. Just tested and got a BFN so been a very low day for me. I will be going to the doctor next week to get checked out and see if certain suspicions are correct or now so we'll see. 

So yeah, that's me. Hopfully I didn't overshare.

Hi! I am just starting my TTC journey and thought I would introduce myself.

Ages (you and SO): Both of us are 28

How many months have you been TTC?: This will be our first month. Last month we decided to just see what would happen, so we didn't use any preventatives. I started having some weird symptoms, tested, and got a barely there positive. At first I panicked a little, but then it turned to excitement. Both of us wanted it more than we thought we did. I re-tested and, unfortunately, got straight negatives after that and I just started my cycle a couple days ago, so here I am. We were pretty disappointed. Also, my SIL announced her pregnancy over Thanksgiving when I was getting all those negatives, so while I am extremely happy for her, there was also a little bittersweetness to the whole situation.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Just supplements and BBT tracking for now.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Both my SO and I are nurses. We have a GSD who is an overgrown baby and a cat who thinks he is king of the house (and he pretty much is). I like to draw, read, and hang out with family in my free time. We also like to go and explore new places and have dreams of taking a trip to Europe in the far off future.

Anywhoo, that is me and why I am here in a small nutshell. I am looking forward to meeting everyone here!

@regalmommy1 DH and I are similar in age to you and I totally get the "waited too long" feeling.

@regalmommy1 welcome back! You know, all the other 38 year olds around me around getting KU'ed no problem. So hopefully that'll happen for you quickly too. But it's a good thing to get some tests done. Don't forget YH too! It's easy to assume that he's good to go since he's 29, but that can sometimes be misleading. 

@katrielle sorry for your early loss; hopefully it happens again for you quickly.

@walkawaynee I try not to, it gets overwhelming sometimes and I start to think I'm fooling myself. I try to remind myself that a lot of women are waiting longer now a days and it's perfectly acceptable. I hate my own brain most times.

@acleverusername DH recently did a home fertility test and it came out normal, according to the instructions. Despite this, depending on how things go with my appointment, he intends on getting a more in depth test anyway. He does have concerns as when he was with his ex before me they had quite a bit of unprotected sex and nothing happened, she has since gotten pregnant with her current SO, so makes you wonder. Just have to wait and see I guess.
