Fetal heart beat

I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and the heart beat was 100. Doc said it was a little low so I had to do a repeat a week later. At 7 weeks the heart rate dropped to 57. He said there is a high chance of miscarriage. Has anyone else been in this situation? And was the outcome positive or negative?

At 7 weeks the heartbeat should be pretty strong and over 100. Fetal heart rates are always well above our typical heart rates. I had a scan at 7w5d that only showed a heartbeat of 80. I miscarried a few days later.
