Re: All trimesters check-in, week of 11/22

    • How far along/EDD? 9w4d
    • How are you feeling this week? Ok for the most part, just a lingering headache that won't go away for days now
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Rave - my husband took the kids to his parents Saturday into Sunday, which gave me the opportunity to relax a bit, then clean up and re-arrange the living room without anyone here. Rant - in the process of re-arranging, I moved the couch over by bumping it over with my hip/butt and then freaked out that I hurt the baby. Then I also started getting paranoid reading some of the posts from last week that 8w4d was too early to spot progesterone and called my doc to confirm both of these and see if I can come in for a scan to calm my nerves. His office basically told me I'm crazy without telling me that directly. They said to stop moving furniture and that if my RE + OB had no concerns with me stopping progesterone last week, I should stop worrying. Of course I can't stop worrying, so I'll just be the paranoid crazy lady until my next appointment, which isn't for a while. Ugh.
    • Upcoming appointments? NIPT scan on 12/8
    • GTKY: How are you spending the Thanksgiving holiday this week and what are your fave Thanksgiving dishes?  My parents are hosting so we're going there along with my inlaws. My parents live 10 minutes away, so thankfully we don't have to drive far. I love mashed potatoes. I can eat them any day, but especially love them with thanksgiving turkey.

  • @Tulips29 I stopped my progesterone at 9 weeks. I also love mash potatoes.

    • How far along/EDD? 11 weeks 4 days June 9th
    • How are you feeling this week? Mainly tired. Just feel like laying in bed watching shows.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? So glad this board is back up again. It is nice to talk to people who understand infertility.
    • Upcoming appointments? Next month.
    • GTKY: How are you spending the Thanksgiving holiday this week and what are your fave Thanksgiving dishes? Will spend it with family. First Thanksgiving without my Mom. My favorite dish is stuffing.
    • How far along/EDD? 28w5d / Feb 10
    • How are you feeling this week? Good - mostly because we got my iron levels back up but that has resulted in not being able to 💩. Need to get on the stool softeners.
    • Rants/Raves? Questions? Work is so busy & I’m currently between Payroll people due to a retirement so it’s even more busy for me - I haven’t been great for getting lunch and I’ve been working late. Two more weeks and my new person starts - I really hope she’s a quick study because I’m exhausted. (I’m an HR Manager). Today also marks one year since I started stims for this little guy!!
    • Upcoming appointments? Monday! Need to get my blood work done today for the upcoming appointment.
    • GTKY: How are you spending the Thanksgiving holiday this week and what are your fave Thanksgiving dishes? I’m Canadian so just a regular weekend for me. I do have one aunt in the US that we’d do American Thanksgiving with sometimes but haven’t with COViD.

  • @romeoandjuliet146 ok, your 9 weeks of stopping progesterone is reassuring. I stopped at 8w4d last time too, so I trust my doc, just got worried for a second there.

@JWatt5 I'm in the same boat as you regarding work. I'm also in HR, btw, I don't remember if we ever talked about it . I'm in the process of hiring a new coordinator to support me. My last one I hired 6 months before I went out on leave and my work has no idea I'm expecting again, so I can't wait to hire someone to help me so I can have as much time as possible to train them.

  • @Tulips29 stopping at 9 weeks just isn't something I've heard before. I guess at some point the placenta takes over so it's not totally necessary through all of 1st tri? I have no clue though. I think I'll be on progesterone and estradiol through 12 weeks.

@JWatt5 my lord that's a lot going on at work!

    How far along/EDD? 6w6d / July 14

How are you feeling this week? So relieved! Ultrasound yesterday showed baby on track with a 120 HB! I'm actually measuring a day behind but based on my later than usual ovulation I consider myself a few days ahead. I can finally relax knowing things are where they should be. Doesn't stop me from being tired AF though. It's gonna be rough getting through the holidays without telling family.

Rants/Raves? Questions? Rant - I went to Quest for my HCG, progesterone, estrogen, and TSH check because I was still needing some genetic tests done but I didn't think about the fact that Quest might hold on to that info for over a week until I get the results from all the labs I did. I sent them a message to forward the results ASAP so hopefully the RI can get that today and determine if I need to change my dosages. Raves - last day of the work week yay!

Upcoming appointments? Lots! Haha. US and intake appointment with the nurse next week Thursday, then every Thursday after that until I'm 12 weeks. Also fitting in quick lab draws for estrogen and progesterone now that we have a HB

GTKY: How are you spending the Thanksgiving holiday this week and what are your fave Thanksgiving dishes? We have been invited to DH's extended family thankagiving tomorrow but we're going to skip that (he still has covid symptoms and really can't talk). We're hosting my family on Friday and I need Thursday to clean the house. Then Thanksgiving Saturday with DH's family. Mash potatoes are also one of my favorite. We also have what we call "lazy pierogi" that's like polish pierogis but you use egg noodles instead of the dough. There's bacon and sauerkraut in it as well. You have to try it lol.

  • @inthewoods23 I stopped progesterone at 10 weeks with my first and 8w4d with my second so I don't know. My OB said at 10 weeks the placenta forms and takes over, so stopping at 8w4d was fine this time again and was confirmed by my RE as well originally as this was his protocol. I am choosing to trust both of them, since me googling can lead to nothing productive lol...As for pierogi's from egg noodles, do you have a good recipe? My mom makes home-made pierogies to this day but from dough and I'd love to try an alternative option if it's quicker and easier
