How are you feeling?: not great but they have me on a unisom and Phenogren routine that I’m improving with.

Rants/Raves: The kids had fun on all saints day yesterday! They did a few different activities but they really liked learning about St Francis and feeding the birds outside. Halloween was a blast! Both the kids had so much fun. Also my Godmother stopped by to deliver communion for me which was so sweet of her. I’ve not been able to make it so mass being so sick. 


GTKY - i love the target maternity jeans and yoga pants because they have Obed that don’t go over your belly. I don’t like the ones that do that I feel like I’m suffocating in elastic.

I have some maternity leggings from old navy that are super comfortable and a couple pairs of Levi maternity jeans that I love. I recently saw that Abercrombie has really cute maternity jeans I want to try.

How are you feeling?: the past 3 days have been drastically better. I have been so sick I could barely get on to check the boards here but I am finally feeling better. I hope this isn't just a fluke and will stick around.

Rants/Raves: My boss is crazy. She has been in deep trouble lately and the past few days she is really trying to throw me under the buss. I'm not too worried about it as I have a great relationship with the people above her but it's so annoying and pisses me off. She is the main reason i've had to hide this pregnancy even with the extreme sickness.

Questions: 

GTKY - Have you started shopping for maternity clothes yet? What are your favorites? Not yet but i did pull out my collection from my last pregnancy. My sister also loaned me hers so I'm hoping i won't have to buy much.

How are you feeling?: Nervous. Felt optimistic yesterday (along with exhausted and nauseous). Today I’m less optimistic. No real reason why. Trying to mentally prepare for whatever will happen on Thursday.

Rants/Raves: Meeting with a prospective doula today. I’m hopeful that her philosophy and attitude make sense for me and DH.

How are you feeling?: so hungry. So nauseated. So tired.

Rants/Raves: drinking liquids is difficult. Water is unpleasant (read not going near it). If I don’t have juice I don’t drink. Also, I’m wearing pants that are a size bigger than normal and I’m sitting here with them unbuttoned. Keeping it classy. 

Questions: again, obsessively wondering “is it twins?” Kind of like the 4 out of 5 dentists would say no but the fifth dentist makes you wonder…

GTKY - Have you started shopping for maternity clothes yet? What are your favorites? Oof, I just ordered a trunk from Trunk Club to try and get some maternity clothes delivered to try on. Pickings are sparse locally.

How are you feeling?: I was feeling queasy this morning so was eating pretzels and ginger ale and then holy moly a wave of nausea, had to run to bathroom and throw up. I feel better after throwing up though.

I have a cart of things at Shein. I'm not buying anything at least until after my 8 week appointment though.

How are you feeling?: Not great but at least my body is mixing it up with symptoms.  Sometimes it’s nausea, other times indigestion, no appetite until I’m starving and need to eat now with a sprinkling of headaches.  Exhausted. 

Rants/Raves: DH hasn’t been sleeping well and all of his napping and complaining are making me ragey.  I just bite my tongue and tell him I’m sorry he’s not sleeping well.  I’m not sleeping well either bc our 18 month old still doesn’t sleep through the night and I’m exhausted and feel like crap bc I’m growing a human.  I WAH but my job doesn’t allow me to walk away from my computer for an hour and nap like his does.  Sigh.

Yes! I got rid of a bunch of stuff bc we were done having kids.  I couldn’t bring myself to part with everything thank god.  A couple weeks ago in a knee jerk reaction I ordered a bunch of stuff from Old Navy and H&M.  I mentioned a while ago that the selection out there is really disappointing.  I did get one really great pair of distressed boyfriend maternity jeans from Old Navy that I’m in love with.  I also got a Stitch Fix with a pair of really great straight leg jeans, leggings, and a few basic tops.  

@furmama2babymama that’s so annoying about your husband! You have no idea how it feels until you experience it.  They need to come up with something like that machine that mimics contractions only for first trimester symptoms! 

@ournextadventure glad you’re feeling better and sorry about your boss. That sounds super stressful. 

@pinkkillersheep good luck on Thursday!  

@fluteling I’m having trouble with water too and it’s giving me anxiety that I’m not drinking enough. I got some lemonade from Trader Joe’s and I’ve been pouring some of that into a glass of seltzer.

How are you feeling?: Today is actually good so far.  Otherwise grossly nauseous a majority of the day. I'm going to start trying B6 I think.

Rants/Raves: I had today off work so I drove to the city and got some early Christmas shopping done + returns + Costco.  It felt great to check a ton of things off my list and I felt pretty good.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: ultrasound on 11/16 - but we had our first appointment today and it was a relief to see the baby & a strong heartbeat! We got pretty emotional.

How are you feeling?: pretty great for the most part, just always tired.

Rants/Raves: they did a test today where I can find out the gender in a week or so, I was pretty excited! I thought we’d have to wait longer. I have a feeling it’s a boy.

@katie-seajune_01_2022 you should be the same size as you are now.  They cut the clothes so there’s extra room for your belly, boobs, and hips.  Towards the end, depending on your weight gain and how you carry you might need to size up.  Target, H&M, Old Navy/Gap have always been my go tos.  There’s also Pink Blush, Top Shop, Stitch Fix, Motherhood, A Pea In The Pod.  If you search by maternity J Crew Factory and Madewell have a few things too.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: had ultrasound on Monday and heard the heartbeat. Next appointment is next Friday. 

How are you feeling?: starting to get really tired to the point I can barely keep my eyes open by dinner time. As a result, it's taken me 3 times to write this update. Heartburn is setting in as well. 

Rants/Raves: Rant - I miss coffee. I know I can have 1 cup a day, but I'm trying to completely stay away. I have tea here and there, but I'd love a cup of coffee in the morning to function better. Rave - my SIL is pregnant also, so it's nice to go through pregnancy with someone. Most of my friends are done at this point.

GTKY - Have you started shopping for maternity clothes yet? What are your favorites? I have some from last time. Once my regular pants don't fit, I just live in maternity leggings. I typically get mine from old navy so will probably stock up on a few fresh pairs soon. I like long t-shirts so will likely get a few maternity ones a little later.

Upcoming Appointments or Results: Ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday. Hoping there's a heart beat!

How are you feeling?: Constant nausea (with intense vomiting sometimes; although things have improved with promethazine), sore boobs, staying out of the kitchen and away from all smells, sobbing often and uncontrollably (cried at the end of 'Avengers: Endgame'), but also thrilled and excited.

Rants/Raves: I can't stomach coffee and I miss it. I'm living with my in-laws this fall which is mostly wonderful, except every day they ask me *multiple times* how I am feeling and always seem to expect a new response. The only response I have is: I am nauseated, but hangin' in there. (it is so kind of them to check-in, but I wish they wouldn't look so surprised when I say I'm feeling terrible).
