Upcoming appointments: OB appointment and meeting with MFM specialist on Thursday
How are you feeling? Amazing. Eating all the things, feeling more excited about the pregnancy and baby in general now that I’m feeling better physically.
Rants/raves: We did our first tent camping trip with DD6 this weekend and it was a smash success. We took a hopper to an island we haven’t been to before, drove out to the middle of nowhere, and just pitched a tent for a few days. We were so far away from anything and everything that we were able to see the Milky Way at night and watch the moon rise over the ocean. Kiawe fires every night, coffee on the beach in the morning, the whole day to just swim and relax… DD was sad when we had to leave! Then DH had had a really nice hotel booked for us in town to recharge and we all slept like the dead. Perfect weekend!
Upcoming appointments: This coming Monday, regular OB checkup
How are you feeling? Good right now- for the most part no nausea. I did have some last night but I think I took my vitamins on an empty stomach. Other than that I feel my energy returning which is great.
Rants/raves: Rave-- I did a half marathon this past Sunday! I feel so proud! I didn't train as much as I had planned because I signed up for all of this before I got pregnant, but I wanted to see it through because it was with 2 of my friends from my first BMB. It was so so great!! The soreness is subsiding THANK GOD

How are you feeling? Hungry!!! And so happy I can eat without feeling sick all the time! I still have food aversions to the weirdest random foods though— it was ground turkey last week, but turkey breast tasted delicious this week, so go figure. 🤷🏻♀️
Rants/raves: My bump is becoming more bump-ish! 🥰😁 Unfortunately along that same thread, with my growing breasts, my bridesmaid dress for my brother’s wedding no longer fits around my chest, and the company is out of the next size up. 🤦🏻♀️ My mom and I are going to take on a craft project and buy a corset lace up to replace the zipper in the back to make more room in that area— have any of your crafty mamas tried this before?
Questions: Has anyone’s belly button popped out yet??? Mine is visible not only through clothes, but now my bridesmaid dress as well! 😆🙈
@aloha_mama That sounds incredible!!! I’ve always wanted to visit/go camping somewhere where we can see the Milky Way! What a magical weekend to recharge in nature! 💚🌱 Did you camp directly on the beach?
@shlecks Congrats on the half marathon! That’s a huge accomplishment while pregnant! You must be exhausted!!
Thanks ladies! Yes it wore me OUT that's for sure!! I won't do it again while pregnant if I can help it. But maybe a 5k. My husband is feeling inspired so I think I'll try to get him to do one with me.
@monstera13 thanks for starting this thread this week
@aloha_mama your camping trip sounds absolutely magical! So glad you are starting to feel better. Also I think you had said you will be team green but I had forgotten! So exciting
@shlecks congrats on your half! That's incredible, so impressive!
@minnie_yoga_mama oh no about the dress! Honestly that corset sounds like a brilliant idea. How far out is the wedding? I don't feel like I'm showing that much but MH keeps saying that I am. Belly button is still definitely an innie over here though!

Upcoming appointments: next week - I'm anxious for it!
How are you feeling? Pretty good, though a lot of food aversions still. But that's pretty much my norm (I'm a super picky eater).
Rants/raves:
Rant: So unfortunately someone I had dinner with last week tested positive for COVID - 5 days after I saw him, but he was symptomatic either that night or the next day. Everyone at the dinner was vaccinated but I still had a minor freakout. I wasn't having any symptoms, but I got tested on Sunday anyways and fortunately got negative results yesterday. Phew. Not fun.
Rave: We've told a lot more people and it's been really nice to see everyone so excited for us Can't wait for this next appointment and then the anatomy scan to put my mind more at ease. Also, so many people are in awe of us that we are sticking with Team Green! I haven't found it too hard not to peek at the sex but our friends were so impressed with our self control haha.
@shlecks that is impressive! I'm bailing on much smaller plans because of how I feel. I won't tell my friends that there are people at the same stage of pregnancy and running 13 miles with minimal training for my own sake 😂

How are you feeling? Still nauseous, not as bad as a few weeks ago but still a solid chunk of every day I'm not doing so hot.
Rants/raves: My almost 3 year old son is finally saying he is getting a brother. He keeps telling us that they are going to play baseball and hockey together but he won't teach him his slap shot. It's so stinkin cute.
Rants/raves: got in some fights with DH this weekend, just cold war shit. He's back into playing World of Warcraft, and he is unable to see how addictive it is for him and the negative impact it has on our life and family (he wakes up at 5am to play so he's too tired, he forgets to eat because he tunnel visions, he forgets to even use the bathroom most of the day, he gets behind on work, etc). But we also got a lot of rain which was much needed, and although the town flooded, it seems like most everyone is okay, and our house is fine, and it's sunny again today.
@aloha_mama that camping trip looks amazing! And the hotel after to recharge and finish out the trip is such a great idea!!
@doxiemoxie212 I hope you guys figure out a balance for your H's WoW habit! And glad you got all that rain!
@robbenson how cute about your son! My DS3 tells people there's a "baby in moms sweatshirt" lol.
@fameonmain2 glad you were negative. Those few days waiting for results leave me questioning every sniffle!

How are you feeling? It's like a switched flipped yesterday. With all my boys the second I hit 2nd teu nausea is gone. I've been actually hungry for the last two days and that's been amazing.
Rants/raves: Told everyone at work last week and people have been so cute about it. My coworkers aren't old but many of them have adult children at this point and are so excited for a baby to be around. The kids have been cute about it too. Rants: I'm questioning job choices. The librarian at my school is retiring and she was saying I should seriously consider applying for her job; I'm a raging book nerd. I'm currently a math specialist/coach positioning myself for more leasership. There are a lot of things to consider- it might not always be full time, I'd have to go back and get a certificate and I'd definitely not be taking part time into next year for mat leave if I was starting a new position. But also...way less responsibility and I'd go to work every day with my sole purpose being...books! Which would be amazing. Lots to think about!
Upcoming appointments: Still a couple weeks off. Nov 10th I think?
How are you feeling? Stopping the unisom/B6 led to several rough days, but I’m feeling much better now. I felt several baby kicks but haven’t in a couple days, so that part sucks. Hopefully they’ll become more regular soon!
Rants/raves: Rant- last year I was a mentor for a student at my undergrad university, and she wasn’t very engaged in the process, which was disappointing. I wasn’t going to do it this year, but the program reached out looking for a forensic psychologist. Now I just spent an hour of my evening at a virtual event that my new mentee didn’t even show up to 🙄
Upcoming appointments: Not until later next month sometime.
How are you feeling? Hungry! Felt a bit funny earlier - I think it might've been the warmer weather affecting me but after a big bowl of ramen I feel great.
Rants/raves: We have officially announced our pregnancy to everyone now. We did a really cute facebook announcement which was fun!

How are you feeling? Overall pretty good. I've had some digestive issues for the last couple of years and if I'm not careful to keep those in check then it results in feeling pretty crappy/throwing up. So no splurging for me. 4 cookies the other night was definitely too many
Rants/raves: Definitely feeling baby move a lot more. But its funny, I'll feel him move a ton one day and then nothing the next day. I'm guessing this has a lot to do with where he's hanging out in relation to the placenta. Last time I had an anterior placenta so I felt almost zero movement for a really long time. Its been fun to experience this a lot more this time!

Upcoming appointments: Nov 2 - last appt with this OB since I am currently moving
How are you feeling? Honesty, I'm feeling pretty good. I'm exhausted all the time still, but that also could be because work has been busy/stressful and I am in the middle of moving. Brushing my teeth sometimes still makes me gag, but I am so happy to be able to eat protein and vegetables with no issues!
Rants/raves: Moving is THE WORST! I had asked my current landlord to end my lease on Nov 15, but I found out yesterday they want me out by the 1st. My partner is already in our new place (which is about a 6 hour drive away) and we have moved all of the big stuff, but we definitely still have a bunch left to get packed and move. So basically, I'm not working...just packing. And trying to not lift too much heavy stuff (my partner gets SO MAD when I try to lift anything...I keep telling him I'm not fragile, but he won't listen haha)...but it's a little impossible to avoid it. I'm so looking forward to this move being over and getting settled in! I'm so close...
How are you feeling? Pretty good... I have my energy back, and even my cravings/aversions aren't too bad (they were making life pretty annoying)
Rants/raves: Work is so busy right now, which is good and bad. We're decommissioning an old hospital in a month (hahahahaha) and most of that is on me. It's nice after being slow for so long, but I'm also trying to find time to fit in some dental work for both my husband and I (i.e. where I can 'work from home' but really take care of the kids) and some time for self care for both of us.
@shlecks A half marathon when you're 4 months pregnant! That's impressive!
@aloha_mama That sounds like such an awesome camping trip!
@minnie_yoga_mama Good luck with the dress modifications - you'll have to post pictures!
@fameonmain2 Eeek! Glad the Covid scare was just a scare
@robbenson Awww that's so cute - we have to start introducing the idea of a baby to our kids soon
@Avrilmai Flutters are the best - I've been having some too, and I love them
@doxiemoxie212 Ugh, sorry you guys are fighting - gaming can be such a tricky thing when people don't realize how addictive it can be
@SmashJam I'm a huge advocate of pursuing the path that will make you happiest (provided it doesn't cause too much hardship) - it sounds like you would prefer the library position, and I think you should definitely explore it more (also, I used to want to be a librarian, so I may have a soft spot for that haha)
@monstera13 That's disappointing that you've had two mentees that aren't really into it... can you ask to be reassigned (and maybe be blunt, and say that if you don't get someone who wants to participate, you're not going to do it anymore)?
@constantinabee Oh my goodness... I've been wanting ramen lately and your comment just put it back in my head haha

Rants/raves: I have my annual performance review tomorrow and I've been anxious all week about it. It's our year end this week and my last two months have not been my best performance thanks to the lovely first trimester. My boss has been understanding, but he is a man so he can only be so empathetic. I just want this week to be over!
@shleks - wow, that's amazing! Running a half-marathon while growing a little human, I'm so impressed.
@fameonmain2 - same here! Our families love team green, but I have some friends that think we're wild for not finding out.

How are you feeling? Some round ligament pain and plenty of tiredness, but nausea seems pretty well gone.
Rants/raves: We’ve had this “accidental” pumpkin patch going in our yard the last few years, except this year there were no pumpkins, just a million gourds. (Which have been fun in their own way) Today my MIL came to visit and snuck three pumpkins into what’s left of the patch to surprise the boys. She’s cute. Also, I much preferred just helping carve three instead of carving like 10 on my own last year.
@monstera13 Thanks! Yeah, they know and have been great about it. I have a meeting with HR tomorrow as well just to go over our company’s policy on mat leave and such.
@jessabelle05 I’m moving next month, too— how has your experience been with transferring care to a new OB/CNM? I’m moving twice before my due date so I’ll have to transfer a few times, on top of which I need referrals to MFMs, so I’m curious how your experience has been so far.
How are you feeling? Feeling better overall but still dealing with nausea and food aversions. Hoping 16 weeks is the magic turning point.
Rants/raves: DH and I have had so many good concerts scheduled over the last few months making up for lost Covid time and we’ve had to sell all the tickets because I’ve been too sick. We were supposed to see Dead and Company (Grateful Dead with John Mayer) tonight and I’m sort of unreasonably sad about not going.
@Ivorytower2 I get major FOMO with concerts so I completely understand being sad about not going! Lots of shows are getting announced here for next year, also making up for lost COVID time. Yesterday, a band I really like announced a concert here for my exact due date which sucks. I'm sure I won't even give it a second thought on the day but I still feel super sad about it right now.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. Normal fatigue, incredibly hungry. I’ve added a night time snack to my diet. 🤪
Rants/raves: I’ve been working on a story retell with a coworker and tonight we presented it for students and families. It was so much fun! It’s been a rough couple years to be an educator, all the fun parts have seemed to disappear. So getting to do something like this has helped me to feel excited about work again.
Questions: Stroller question for TTMs. At what age did your LOs stop using the stroller? Trying to decide if getting a double will be worth it. My daughter will be 3 when this one is born. Thanks!
@jesiannv DD3 stopped around 2? But it was also peak pandemic, so we didn't really go anywhere. She probably still would've used it if we lived in a city.
@jesiannv our kids would probably still ride in the stroller if we let them. Generally we’ve kicked them out around 3 years. But it really depends on where you’re going, what you’re doing. A full day of lots of walking is different than a quick shopping trip.
Team blue/pink/green: Green for now, but we want to find out
Upcoming appointments: Next week
How are you feeling? Still pretty tired, had a headache for a couple days, and yesterday the heartburn was REAL. Better today so far.
Rants/raves: We shared the news on Facebook with a picture of our Halloween costumes. I was a mummy with eyes on my belly between the bandages, and hubs was Brendan Fraser’s character from The Mummy film. My post said, “I’m a Mummy! Get it?!” My SIL sent me a hilarious video of her showing the picture to two of my nieces (6 and 4). 6 worked it out with some hints and was very excited. 4 said, “I’m glad I don’t have a baby in my tummy because I’m just a kid!”

How are you feeling? So much better, although I still have random nausea days. I think I went a whole week without nausea. I am throwing up more, though, which is weird. I will have about 2-5 minutes where I suddenly don't feel good, then I'll throw up and then I'll go back to feeling okay. It's very strange and there's no obvious trigger that I can figure out. I've definitely thrown up much more in my second trimester than my first.
Rants/raves: I got married! Because of Covid and me not wanting to stress about a wedding because I'm pregnant, we each had a best friend and just our close family attend. I was feeling a little bad before the wedding because I know we have a lot of friends who feel left out (though a lot of the people expressing their displeasure are people we don't really like that much anyway and would only be inviting out of obligation if we had a big traditional wedding) but afterwards, I am so glad it was a small ceremony and reception. The ceremony was beautiful and intimate and really meaningful and the reception was really nice because we didn't have to sit and accept congratulations (and awkward hugs) from a bunch of people we didn't know or care about. Everyone who was there was the people that love and care about us the most and they were all people we wanted to talk to and socialize with. It was perfect. 10/10 would recommend a nice, small wedding.
@dinomeetsjedi that sounds so very lovely! you can always throw a big reception party later if you are wanting a blow out of a celebration at some point. But I'm so glad you ended up feeling so happy about your big day!
I also have thrown up more in second trimester. Exact same symptoms as you. I'll be completely fine, then cough, and then 30 seconds later in the bathroom throwing up. Who knows. Pregnancy is weird.

@Blondesweety444 Yay for more movements!
@jessabelle05 Ugh, I can't imagine moving while pregnant

How are you feeling? I'm feeling so much better and more like myself again. I'm glad to see that a lot of other mamma's are starting to feel a lot better!
Rants/raves: I have my annual performance review tomorrow and I've been anxious all week about it. It's our year end this week and my last two months have not been my best performance thanks to the lovely first trimester. My boss has been understanding, but he is a man so he can only be so empathetic. I just want this week to be over!

Questions: none for now.

Thanks!

Get it?!”
My SIL sent me a hilarious video of her showing the picture to two of my nieces (6 and 4).

I also have thrown up more in second trimester. Exact same symptoms as you. I'll be completely fine, then cough, and then 30 seconds later in the bathroom throwing up. Who knows. Pregnancy is weird.
