  • @shlecks Congrats on your half! That’s huge!
  • @aloha_mama That sounds incredible!!! I’ve always wanted to visit/go camping somewhere where we can see the Milky Way! What a magical weekend to recharge in nature! 💚🌱 Did you camp directly on the beach?

@shlecks Congrats on the half marathon! That’s a huge accomplishment while pregnant! You must be exhausted!!
  • Thanks ladies!  Yes it wore me OUT that's for sure!!  I won't do it again while pregnant if I can help it.  But maybe a 5k.  My husband is feeling inspired so I think I'll try to get him to do one with me.

  • Estimated due date/ weeks + days: April 7th / 17 weeks!

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

    Team blue/pink/green: Team Blue!

Upcoming appointments: Nov 10th for anatomy scan!!

How are you feeling? Overall pretty good. I've had some digestive issues for the last couple of years and if I'm not careful to keep those in check then it results in feeling pretty crappy/throwing up. So no splurging for me. 4 cookies the other night was definitely too many  :#

Rants/raves: Definitely feeling baby move a lot more. But its funny, I'll feel him move a ton one day and then nothing the next day. I'm guessing this has a lot to do with where he's hanging out in relation to the placenta. Last time I had an anterior placenta so I felt almost zero movement for a really long time. Its been fun to experience this a lot more this time!

    Questions: none
  • @natashajn I hope your performance review goes well! Do they know about your pregnancy yet?

And thanks! It is seriously my dream job, so I’m very happy to be finally doing it.
  • Estimated due date/ weeks + days: 3rd week of April. 15 weeks or so

    FTM/STM/TTM+: 4TM

    Team blue/pink/green: Team Green 💚

    Upcoming appointments: Next week!

How are you feeling? Some round ligament pain and plenty of tiredness, but nausea seems pretty well gone.

Rants/raves: We’ve had this “accidental” pumpkin patch going in our yard the last few years, except this year there were no pumpkins, just a million gourds. (Which have been fun in their own way) Today my MIL came to visit and snuck three pumpkins into what’s left of the patch to surprise the boys. She’s cute. Also, I much preferred just helping carve three instead of carving like 10 on my own last year.

    Questions:
  • @monstera13 Thanks! Yeah, they know and have been great about it. I have a meeting with HR tomorrow as well just to go over our company’s policy on mat leave and such.
  • @jessabelle05 I’m moving next month, too— how has your experience been with transferring care to a new OB/CNM? I’m moving twice before my due date so I’ll have to transfer a few times, on top of which I need referrals to MFMs, so I’m curious how your experience has been so far.
  • @Ivorytower2 I get major FOMO with concerts so I completely understand being sad about not going! Lots of shows are getting announced here for next year, also making up for lost COVID time. Yesterday, a band I really like announced a concert here for my exact due date which sucks. I'm sure I won't even give it a second thought on the day but I still feel super sad about it right now.
  • @jesiannv DD3 stopped around 2? But it was also peak pandemic, so we didn't really go anywhere. She probably still would've used it if we lived in a city.
  • @jesiannv DS4 used it steadily until 2.5. Very rarely during 3.

@jesiannv our kids would probably still ride in the stroller if we let them. Generally we’ve kicked them out around 3 years. But it really depends on where you’re going, what you’re doing. A full day of lots of walking is different than a quick shopping trip.
  • @dinomeetsjedi congratulations!! Sounds like it was the perfect day ♥️
  • @dinomeetsjedi Huge congratulations!!!
  • @dinomeetsjedi congrats! If we could do it all over again we definitely would've done a super small wedding.
  • @dinomeetsjedi wow congratulations! That sounds wonderful
  • @dinomeetsjedi that sounds so very lovely! you can always throw a big reception party later if you are wanting a blow out of a celebration at some point. But I'm so glad you ended up feeling so happy about your big day!

I also have thrown up more in second trimester. Exact same symptoms as you. I'll be completely fine, then cough, and then 30 seconds later in the bathroom throwing up. Who knows. Pregnancy is weird.
  • @dinomeetsjedi congrats!!! We did small too, only immediate family, way pre covid. It was pretty great!
  • Thanks everyone :)
