Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. MC in Aug. 2021 @ 8 weeks

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? I had a great weekend with DH, so hoping that ease continues through FW this week. My nephew's first birthday is coming up, which is a little bittersweet as I imagined the cousins being close in age.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope, just starting OPKs tomorrow (testing longer this month since I'm not confident I got O right last month)

    Questions? Not this time

GTKY: Have you ever been to a haunted location or experienced something paranormal? I don't think so! I'm a scaredy cat so I tend to avoid these kinds of things when possible, haha.

  • I just had a MC a couple weeks ago  (sometime between 10/8 and 10/16) I was 6-7 weeks depending when it happened. Found out 10/21 at my first US appointment.

Status: WTO or for first period after the loss

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Things are okay. I told my family, I processed it with a weekend of junk food and general melancholy. Trying to move forward so we can try again. I'm struggling with figuring out how to mentally be not pregnant again, even though I was only pregnant for a short time.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? BETA on monday to make sure HCG is still dropping. I've have two BETAs already, first as at 91, second at 70. Hoping it's even lower this time. My boobs finally stopped hurting and it's been almost 2 weeks since the suspected date of the loss.

Questions? I'll be talking to my doctor next week after the BETA so I think she'll be able to answer my questions about when to expect my next period and when I can try again.

GTKY: Have you ever been to a haunted location or experienced something paranormal? YES! I grew up near the Winchester Mystery House, one of the most haunted locations in the USA. I've been several times, including a midnight tour on Halloween. Never experienced anything spooky there, though. Ah well.

  • @abjm0325 I have that same thought too. I would have "provided" the first cousin a little over a month after my niece was born. And now she's definitely going to be almost 2 years older by the time we find success again. This is such a far cry from my mom's side of the family that has so many grandkids. Like it's weird to me to not have cousins within a few months of your own birthday. I think I have around 15 cousins on that side? haha

@starkette I totally understand trying to not be mentally pregnant. I felt that for honestly a couple months after my loss. It's hard! I hope your HCG continues to decline  <3 FWIW, I know I ovulated before my HCG was down to 0 so you may be on your way in a few weeks. However others in the past here have had to wait months.

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. MC at 8 weeks Oct 2020 - a full year has passed

    Status: TWW

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Things are good. Had a meltdown on Tuesday over insurance, but we should be all good now. Phew. I'm really hoping to get clearance soon with an immune protocol so we can get pregnant again

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Waiting on LOTS of tests. I guess they can take a few weeks and it's only been 1. Still haven't heard about my decidualization score from my biopsy. I'm super interested to see what that says.

    Questions? nope

GTKY: Have you ever been to a haunted location or experienced something paranormal? Well, technically yes I've been to a haunted location. The concert venue downtown is supposedly haunted by Buddy Holly's ghost. But that's like, in the basement of this venue where there's some random swimming pool down there (not functional at this point).

  • @starkette I'm sorry to see you here, but welcome. My midwife wanted me to wait a full cycle after my MC before trying again, but I think she was being extra cautious both for my mental state and for dating future pregnancies.

@inthewoods23 That's a lot of cousins! My family wasn't like that, but I always wished I had cousins closer in age. Also, so sorry for your insurance nonsense. I've been lurking the IF threads and have been infuriated on your behalf.
  • @abjm0325 I'm way late to responding, but I hope your week was a good one!
@starkette I'm sorry for your loss. I had a similar loss in July, we found out at the 8 week U/S. My MW and OB wanted me to wait one full cycle before trying again and it took almost two months to get back to normal, but this is just my experience.
@inthewoods23 Sorry to hear it's the one year anniversary, that must have been a hard day for you. I'm glad you are getting things worked out with insurance and hopefully won't have any more headaches with that.

    Status: WTO - hopefully today

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Things are going okay. DH and I have had some sh*t going on with a huge storm and damages to trees/fence in our yard. (See WTO Friday 10/29 for pictures of the damage.) Trying to time things while staying with my parents and worrying about all we have to fix is challenging, but we are trying!

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: Have you ever been to a haunted location or experienced something paranormal? A childhood friend had a birthday party at Lizzy Borden's house when we were growing up. We swore we heard banging/knocking, but who knows for real lol.

  • Just started my first period after the loss. Happened sooner than expected, which is good. I want my body to get back to normal. I want to try again. I have bloodwork tomorrow and an appointment on Thursday with my OB/GYN. Fingers crossed we get the all clear to move forward. Since it was an early loss, I think she'll give us the green light.
