Mama’s with acid reflux babies!

My sweet one has severe acid reflux. He’s been on EleCare since about 3 months old due to stomach problems and it helped a lot. Now the acid reflux is here. He’s 7 months old and he’s had it for a while but now it’s gagging, choking, and a lot of swallowing. We have been on Pepcid, Prevacid and now (as of 3 days ago) Prilosec. And he’s been off of solid food for a week (pediatrician thought that may be the cause). It’s awful. He doesn’t sleep well (and we don’t either) and he’s having multiple episodes a day now. Any advice or encouragement that it will get better? Or that he’s not going to legitimately choke on his acid??
