How are you feeling?: throwing up a lot less, finally. I have a boatload of post nasal drip though and it’s causing me to cough 24/7 like a plague victim
Rants/Raves: just annoyed at the drugs you can’t take when pregnant

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: April 9 / 14 weeks + 2 days
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
Upcoming Appointments: We just had our most recent appointment last Thursday, so next one won’t be for another 4 weeks. The doctor said for that appointment they’ll be doing another routine blood test to screen for defects— I’ll be 17 weeks by then.
How are you feeling?: Nausea has improved, but not sure if that’s because it’s actually improving or because I’m avoiding any foods that tend to trigger it. I ate a 3 bean salad for lunch today which was a success— healthy, tolerable to baby, and not bread!!🎉
Rants/Raves: We got to hear the baby’s heartbeat on a Doppler on Thursday!💓💓💓 I know it’s silly but I finally feel “safe” now that we’ve heard it again and we’re out of the “danger zone” and into the 2nd trimester. This weekend we told all our friends and family who we haven’t told yet! It’s so nice to finally be able to share the joy and talk with everyone about it!
I’m telling my boss tomorrow. I’m hoping with the little guy being an April baby that I’ll be able to take FMLA followed by the summer leave our company offers as a benefit to take off a whole 6 months total with him! 🤞🤞🤞 Then when I return I want to go back only 3 days/week. Hoping my boss will be receptive to this!
ALSO I’m almost positive I felt the baby moving on Friday! It felt like a little butterfly flutter below my belly button! 🦋💙🥰
Questions: Just looking forward to seeing how everyone else is doing!

Upcoming Appointments: in 2 weeks for a standard urine/Doppler appt at 16weeks
How are you feeling?: Nausea is better, still queasy but much more tolerable. Energy is back, baby!
Rants/Raves: looking forward to joining y’all officially in the second trimester, but I am starting to feel better overall.

How are you feeling?: Overall been feeling a lot better. I've thrown up a couple times, but that's more from a random wave of nausea/gagging that I can't seem to over come. Energy is back, which has me staying up too late at night and then regretting it in the morning. Whoops!
Rants/Raves: My SIL mentioned my cute little belly this weekend, so its definitely starting to make an appearance. I've been having some annoying headaches the last couple of days. Not enough that I want to take something for it, but enough that its annoying. It also dawned on me the other day that I'm only a couple weeks away from the half way point (scheduled csection at 37 weeks). The holidays are coming up which will keep me super busy and then I'm going to be out of time! Ah!! I need to clean all of the loads of crap out of the to be nursery!
Questions: none for now
Somewhere around 13w
FTM/STM/TTM+: 4TM
Upcoming Appointments: telehealth in early November
How are you feeling?: more or less ok. Still have nausea pop up afternoon through evening, but generally nothing too extreme. A headache or two a week.
Rants/Raves: I had a nice appointment with one of the midwifes (team of 2) last week, got caught up since I last saw her 4 years ago. We chatted about my due date, but she opted to discuss it further with the other midwife before picking one day. Whatever. Due dates have felt more and more arbitrary with each one. I realized while filling out paperwork I can’t remember what DS4’s actual due date was - and that he’s the only one I didn’t attempt a baby book at all. Sorry, kid.
Questions: Nope
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: probably? I should check. There's probably one in two or three weeks.
How are you feeling?: still like shit most of the time, but I do think the duration each day is reducing, and I'm getting better at figuring out what foods my body will tolerate. But now the SPD/SI joint dysfunction pain has gotten bad. I'm wearing my hip brace thing as much as I can, but I have to pull it really tight for it to help which makes my legs feel like they're kind of losing circulation lol so that's fun.
Rants/Raves: something is wrong with DH. I'm not sure what. He's been getting nauseas/actually throwing up during dinner, but he's fine outside of that time frame. Sympathy pregnancy would make the most sense if it weren't for the fact that I really do not feel like that's what's going on lol. I'm trying to convince him to at least make a virtual doctor appt today.
Questions:
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM, DD6
Upcoming Appointments: The 28th for a check-in
How are you feeling?: So. Much. Better. Like a human being again. I am so thankful. The fatigue is still there in full force but I’m able to eat more, although I still have some food aversions there.
Rants/Raves: With DD6 I took weekly photos holding that week’s fruit depending on how big she was. But this time I’m doing “cravings” and it’s been really fun so far! This week was a donut hole so we took a trip to a local donut place and went crazy.
Questions: Not really.
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
Upcoming Appointments: November 4
How are you feeling?: Feeling better, mostly. I still have random waves of nausea but it is not all day everyday and I have whole days where I'm able to eat normally. I have been craving fruit and yogurt. We heard a nice strong heartbeat last Thursday and I'm feeling a little less anxious about everything. My stomach/uterus is super sore and sensitive, I think the baby is doing a whole bunch of growing.
Rants/Raves: I'm getting married next week! But my partner and I are both pretty sick (with just a cold) and we're trying to get a whole bunch of last minute things done while also trying to avoid going out and exposing a bunch of people to unnecessary illness.
Questions: none
@dinomeetsjedi good luck on your wedding!! Hopefully the weather is beautiful for you! This week is gunna be cold!!
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
Upcoming Appointments: November something. Just had one today.
How are you feeling?: Mostly ok but there are days where I have a headache and the food aversions come back, and I'm so tired. All I want to eat today is the vinegar-y kale slaw I made for lunch tomorrow and I'm getting ready to house some dilly beans. If I over do it, I feel like trash.
Rants/Raves: Had my first appt today, saw baby and heartbeat for the first time! She also found the heartbeat on the doppler at the appt so we got to hear it. I can't believe I'll have the test results in "under ten days!" I'm so excited to know the gender. I ordered the shirts for the big reveal with the kiddos and my work-the kiddos just say "oldest" for DS6 and "youngest" but struckthrough and replaced with "middle". Mine says "Ice Ice" with an arrow pointing down. It'll be easier than telling everyone at work separately since I don't see them all. I won't use the shirts until the results are back.
Questions: They mentioned offhand that I have a "blip of an SCH" I googled what that looked like on an ultrasound and mine did NOT look blippy! It looked so big! I'm not an ultrasound tech so I'll trust that I'm just misreading and its nothing, but man-it has me a little worried. How long did it take everyone's to resolve-and I'm curious how many had bleeding vs. it was just not there at some ultrasound in the future. I've never had one but I know its super common and likely nothing to worry about, just looking for info!

Upcoming Appointments: Nov 1 just a regular check
How are you feeling?: Pretty good! I have been taking some supplements to help prevent headaches which has helped completely, however I'm still dealing with constipation. It's not super uncomfortable yet, it's just that I know I'm irregular right now so it's driving me crazy.
Rants/Raves: Saw a bunch of my husband's family over the weekend for a funeral, everyone knew about the pregnancy because of my MIL (because of COURSE they did 😂) so everyone asked me about it and all that. It was fine though, thankfully no belly touching. Also we got our NIPT results back and found out all is well and that it's a GIRL!! I can't believe it. I'm still in shock! We are so excited.
Questions:
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
Upcoming Appointments: Nov 2, plus I have to go back in tomorrow for another blood draw (the NIPT didn't work)
How are you feeling?: I thought I was feeling better, but I ended up throwing up the last two evenings...which is the only time I've thrown up during this whole pregnancy. I'm also SO exhausted and also have insomnia, which has been making it difficult to work. It's annoying because...I figured I'd be over it all by now, and instead it seems to be getting worse. But it also could be stress...I'm going to be moving in a couple weeks, plus work is getting pretty hectic as well. Trying to think positive!
Rants/Raves: Big rant -- I've been looking forward to the results of my NIPT, but it had to be postponed one week because I had COVID, and then I just found out today that for some reason the results weren't conclusive or something, so I'm going in tomorrow to get another test. But even that whole process has been confusing because the company called me to schedule something later this week, and then my doctors office called and said they could get me in tomorrow, but then I got an auto text from the company saying that they couldn't schedule my blood test. IDK...I'm sure it'll get figured out tomorrow. But I am impatient! Ok, now my Rave -- I'm moving in less than two weeks and we have a place finally, and I'll be saving a lot of money in rent, and I'm so excited for a change of pace!
Questions: Anyone else getting a little overwhelmed by all the choices and things to do? Ex: Cribs/bassinets, etc, car seats/strollers/carriers. I feel like it's just too much! I know there are the product spotlights on here, but even reading those makes me feel very overwhelmed...so I keep putting it all off haha.
@shlecks Thanks for the headache suggestions!

Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday and I’m so ready! It’s been 6 weeks due to the lapse in insurance between jobs. It’s a new OB, and they said maybe an ultrasound so 🤞🏻🤞🏻
How are you feeling?: Nausea is less (but somehow gagging has become more frequent?) I’m also feeling slightly less tired. I also felt like having sex (actually initiating it!) for the first time in a while this weekend, so that seems like a good sign.
Raves: I made a super delish steak and potatoes dish tonight that DH and I have been raving over for about an hour lol. And I freaking love my new job! So many interesting forensic evals.
Questions: natm
@dinomeetsjedi you're getting married!! Congratulations! Hopefully you both feel better by next week. Can't wait to hear about it!
@smashjam so for my SCH I had a bleed (bright red) at about 11w (which is when they discovered it) and I spotted brown for a few days after. Then nothing for a week, went for my appt last Mon and my OB mentioned that the sch was pretty sizable so she wouldn't be surprised if I had more spotting. Well, I started spotting again that night and haven't stopped since. It's light though, and just brown, so I'm trying not to worry too much (OB said to call if it was bright red again).
@jessabelle05 yes, completely overwhelmed. I keep picking one or two things for the registry at a time and then take a break. I'm finding that helps a bit!
@monstera13 @bluecampanula so funny on the girls vs. boys names, I had so many option for girls and none for boys and then MH and I talked names on a long car ride and came up with 2 options for boys but now we have none for girls (MH didn't like most of my picks).
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 14+0
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
Upcoming Appointments: not until November
How are you feeling?: pretty good! Just (im)patiently awaiting my NIPT results.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I threw up this morning for the first time?! I really haven't been dealing with a ton of nausea but I started gagging between brushing my teeth and the general smell of the bathroom and couldn't stop it. Happy 2nd tri?!
Rave: Took a nice 3 mi walk with the dog this morning. The leaves are starting to change color here and it was the perfect temperature for walking!
Questions: natm
@jessabelle05 That sounds like an incredible amount of stress! I hope the move goes smoothly. Did they straighten out the blood draw? If you’ve decided where you want to register for ahead and do it and just try to put a few things on at a time. I liked Amazon’s registry because it suggested categories so you know what types of things you should consider (but you don’t have to get everything they suggest of course). Also there’s the big stuff like crib (you mostly can’t go wrong with what you pick), mattress, stroller, car seat, and then beyond that it’s a lot of smaller things that come largely down to matters of taste and preference).
EDD/ Weeks + Days: 4/23/ 12w3d
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: One yesterday, first MFM appt Thursday.
How are you feeling?: Tired! Hoping to not wake up early and be stuck awake again tonight. I wake up to pee, then I’m hungry, then I’m just awake for like two hours and sooo tired when DS2 wakes up.
Rants/Raves: I had a prenatal massage today which was so nice. My massage therapist is also pregnant so we chatted pregnancy and children stuff. My mom came for a couple days so she was able to stay with DS2. Excited to see the babies again later this week and much less anxious than usual because we just saw them. I how I have a good experience with the MFM practice, they’re apparently the only show in town so I’m stuck if not.
Questions:
@zamoraspin2 we are not taking a honeymoon. We both have to save our time for maternity/paternity leave. We're going to have a reception next year, hopefully after the baby comes and maybe COVID stuff gets a little more sorted out. We might take one then.
@dinomeetsjedi congratulations!
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/3, 15+4
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: end of the month for OB, MFM next month
How are you feeling?: exhausted. I'm back to being able to tolerate coffee so that's not the issue.
Rants/Raves: kind of annoyed at my OB's nurse. They have to refer you for your initial MFM appt. Dr. said she wanted it to be around 16-18 wks to check for placental placement for concern about a previa. RN called me w/an appt date that would put me at 21+3. They did move it up, but not to that 16-18 wk window.

TTC#2 06/2021

It kind of stinks to feel that that, but at the end of the day, you have to kind of rely on yourself!
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 13+5
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
Upcoming Appointments: Waiting on MFM appt
How are you feeling?: I am still feeling nauseas especially at night which sucks a fat one! I looked back in my pictures and with my last DD I was at Disneyland at 15 weeks so I must have been feeling good by then. Hopefully only one more week of the sickness.
Rants/Raves: My insurance is crappy. My dating ultrasound was $200 and my insurance only paid $80 and billed me $120. My deductible is low, or was low until my company announced we are moving to even crappier insurance plan next month with higher deductibles and out of pocket max. How is everything related to pregnancy not just covered 100% by insurance? It’s infuriating.
Questions: none at the mo
It should not cost $3,4,8,10k to have a baby! My hospital bill before insurance was over 100k with one of my kids because she had to go to the NICU for two nights.
