I've been feeling so good lately. I cleaned the house a bunch all weekend including scrubbing toilets! Its been so nice to finally be productive. I did throw up last night, but I think it was a one off fluke because I forgot to eat dinner. Lol! 14+5 and I feel like I'm finally rounding the corner!
@Blondesweety444 I’m with you on all the cleaning lately! I bought a new toy (appliance) this week to wash all of my carpets. So satisfying seeing all that dirt coming out!
Just lost my shit today kinda feel guilty. We were out and I couldn't eat my snacks because of masks and volume of people. No one was getting food fast enough they started discussing restaurants so I just loaded my daughter in the car and said you can do whatever you want I need to go eat now and left. My husband was pissed. But I'm just starving and intolerant of another 45 min discussion in a group of 8 people about where and what to eat. I lost my shit after that when he was discussing with me what he thought was my poor behavior and I just started bawling like ugly crying. I'm not saying it was nice, but my priority was getting food in or I will be sick. I apologized later to everyone and they understood but as I told him at that point I would have eaten tacos from a third rate taco stand. So frustrating, normally can plan and take care of everyone else first.
@rbflei - I’ve done that when I wasn’t pregnant! Haha. Hanger is a real thing, and especially when you’re pregnant. I thankfully haven’t been in that situation while pretty, but I’m sure I would react the same way!
I had a totally meltdown last week because I had to do this 24 hour urine test where you collect all your pee in a jug for 24 hours. My boyfriend drove me to the clinic to drop off the jug the next day, and I realized some of it had spilled out of the jug and was dripping into his truck. I had a TOTAL meltdown. Ugly crying and everything. He was such a sweetheart about it, but wow…it was an experience all around.
Hi!! I am so sporadically here.. I really need to be more active because I really loved my BMB from my other two girls and made some really amazing friends. However, the community app is hard to deal with.
Had a checkup with my Dr yesterday. Got to hear baby's heartbeat which is always a fun time!
My Dr really is a weird dude though. He's extremely knowledgeable, which is exactly what I'd want given my high risk case. But when I asked him about getting a covid booster he said yes you should but....and then launched into this whole thing about how we should be sending our boosters to Africa instead. He's not wrong, but it was a very long answer to yes or no question. When I mentioned my increased headaches he said we can blame the guy that did this to me and then just said its because of the hormone shifts. And then he mentioned that the goal was to get me as big as a house. I just laughed and said I never got there last time.
All those things don't really bother me, just funny to laugh at when looking back. I was talking with my sister and it can be hard to find a Dr with an extreme amount of knowledge who also has great beside manner. Those things don't always go hand in hand. Given my circumstance I'd take the extra knowledge this time around.
@Blondesweety444 I think humans are a lot like characters in The Sims. You get a certain number of bars/points and you can spread them more evenly throughout attributes or you can pile them all in one category - and I think a lot of specialist doctors fall into the latter lolol.
@amys614 my mom and DH carry around "emergency snacks" *for me* even though I carry them around for myself too hahahahaha that's how scared they are of encountering me when I'm hungry
@doxiemoxie212 you are 1,000% correct! That's such an excellent way to think about it! And in this case I'm absolutely choosing someone with brains over heart. I'll have a scheduled C so I'm not worried about having a dr to help coach me though birth. I think that helps too.
@doxiemoxie212, it was critical to carry around snack for my little girls when we would go out and about, now it is critical for me to eat those snacks haha.
