MH really wants to buy a playset for the backyard. I think they're just wasted space that the kids will only play on a tiny bit. We live 200 yards away from a school with three playgrounds. I'd rather have a garden in that what little space we have.
@lexilougolden I love a good play set, but we live across the street from a park and down the road a ways from another one, and we don’t miss having one of our own at all. So I would vote for a garden because kids in my experience love looking at/working in the garden.
We have a play set and a sand box in our yard, and I love having it because we have a fenced in back yard and the kids can play back there without constant supervision. It is also handy when we have family/friends over because it gives the kids a place to play. There is also a park across the street, and we go there over the summer at least 3x a week.
@lexilougolden - agree on the play set but I did cave with one of those smaller plastic sets when Covid hit. It has been good to have. Not used much but doesn’t take up a ton of space so doesn’t feel like as much of a compromise. I just find Parks likes to go to the park more time use his scooter or play with other kids. We even went to the splash pad more than we used our pool this summer.

Re: UO 10.7
we have a play set that is sometimes used. I like it. But there’s no park within real walking distance.
