WAYDTGKU: The usual + Clomid IUI

R/R: I feel bad that I ghosted on Wednesday and then haven’t been back, so I figured I’d make an appearance this weekend. The nurse at my RE’s office told me to call if I didn’t have a positive OPK by CD15 so I thought that meant the clomid was supposed to make you ovulate early but apparently not since mine are still very negative. It’s not unusual for mine to become positive quickly so I may see some movement today but who knows. The logistics of having to go do the IUI with short notice is a little stressful but it’s keeping things interesting!

@bows22 fingers crossed for you that you get that positive OPK soon and everything goes well.

R/R: Weather looks like it'll be nice this weekend. Had a good evening hanging out with my sisters last night, and having dinner with my family tomorrow. It's just a nice few days overall.

CS/Q: Pretty sure yesterday was O day, but I'm going to hang out here for a couple days to make sure.

R/R: The biggest art show in the area is this weekend! It was cancelled last year so I'm excited to go. Unfortunately I have class so I won't get much time today and yesterday is supposed to rain. I'm trying to amp myself up to actually purchase original art this time. I have prints of one of the artists there and would love to further support them.

CS/Q: I was thinking O would happen yesterday but definitely no temp shift. Still very tight around 97*.

@bows22 what dose of Clomid did you take? Clomid does in some cases accelerate ovulation but not always. Remember that a few members on here had to double up on dose in the same cycle. Although I had the impression the older you are the more likely it is to happen. I mean in my case it makes O advance by 6-8 days. 🤷‍♀️

@fantasyflyte glad you’re enjoying some nice weather and family time. Definitely looks like you’ve O’ed.

@pinkkillersheep I hope the rain stays away long enough for you to enjoy the art show. MH and I have gotten into some art buying recently.  It makes me feel like a super adult!

WAYDTGKU: gearing up for IVF round # 2. Lots of vitamins and supplements. Relaxing. 

R/R: MH and I took our dog for a run in the park and the grass was still wet so that precipitated a bath. It’s so nice out, so we decided to hose her down in the driveway. And MH captured an amazing shot of her shaking the water. I’ll post it to Randoms.

In other news, I woke up in the middle of the night and my belly was itching. I had to put some rubbing alcohol on the area to stop the itch. And then this morning I’m seeing something like insect bite marks in the area. There are 5 of them. So now I’m freaking out as to what it might be. Our dog has tic and flea medication so I can imagine it’s her.

@acleverusername I only took 50 mg. It just surprised me that she was like “call if you haven’t gotten a positive by CD15.  I know a lot of people ovulate later than that. I’m a CD 14-18 ovulater so I didn’t think I’d be “late” and have to call. And maybe I still won’t be but my last one was still very negative! I *also* have 4 bug bites all in the same area on my back and was also very concerned what it could be but DH said I must have had a bug in my shirt haha

@bows22 ah, 50mg is a pretty low dose so it’s not unusual. When I only took 2.5mg of Letrazole (equivalent of 50mg of Clomid), my O was only sped up by 2 days. It’s good to go in to get your levels hormone checked; it’ll give you a better idea of when you’ll O. But maybe it’ll happen before Monday.

@acleverusername Loved the picture of the pup! I’ve got a bunch of bites from a few nights ago and one of them ended up like three inches in diameter. Super unnerving to not know what thing in your bed is biting you…

I did it! I bought my first piece of original artwork! It will possibly looks familiar…

I told her I was using it as an avatar (with artist credit in my signature) and thankfully she was flattered instead of creeped out. But I was so excited it was there and thought it felt poetic to have the original.

@acleverusername I called this morning because my OPK was still nonexistent and she said it was up to me if I wanted to schedule bloodwork and I said that I felt pretty confident I would get a positive in the next couple of days and she said that was fine. Then my second OPK of the day was halfway there 🤦🏼‍♀️ So it will probably be positive by tonight so I guess I’ll be calling back! At least next time I’ll know that I don’t really need to call on CD 15

@acleverusername It’s 4’ x 3’ so it’s a bit big for my little home but I love it. It currently is on the wall next to my spot on the bed so I get to wake up and see it in the morning  The wall is a cream color, which is why it looks a little more yellow than in my avatar. I’m in love with the thought of seeing it at some point in the future and having the memory tied to the TTC journey and the wonderful community of people on TB.
