Re: Check-in EDD 23-30 w/o 9/27

  • I knew we had to split up by EDD eventually but I’ll miss everyone posting in one place!

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/28, 9 + 4

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM (DD6)

Upcoming Appointments: Patient intake appointment on Wednesday

How are you feeling?: Dare I say… Better? (Knocks on wood) Just so, so tired.

Rants/Raves: I forgot my wallet at home and I’m at work so… DH and DD6 are going to have to bring it to me later so I can actually get out of the parking garage. I wish I could blame this on #pregnancybrain but it’s just me.

    Questions: Nah

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4.29/ 9 +3. Last week I went nuts and said I was 9 weeks but, alas. It's this week.

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

Upcoming Appointments: October 11-somehow I lucked out that this is a day we have off already, kids are at daycare, so H and I can go to the ultrasound together!

How are you feeling?: Extra nervous about the health of the baby. I just wish I new for sure that things were ok. We're just getting close to the time where I want to be excited and buy comfier clothes and get surprise baby announcement shirts for me and the kids and I feel like I cannot do that until after the ultrasound/NIPT and that's not for two more weeks. Other than that I've moved solidly into the camp so many of you were already in where I can't eat anything if I cook it, so I mostly don't eat dinner/eat junk after everyone else has had something decent. Kids can't lay on my stomach really and I'm getting lots of stretchy pains when I move to fast!

Rants/Raves: Had a playdate/lunch with the neighbors for the first time and it was fun! I think they'll think we're nuts because we limit screen time a little and worry about sugar and cook things from scratch but hopefully that doesn't deter them from having our kids hanging out, lol. Rant: that means we have to have THEM over next to reciprocate and I don't think we have anything fun in our house except video games and marble runs and hot wheels, plus our house isn't huge, and our backyard is so boring. And our house is such a hot mess. So now I'm just extra anxious about having to have them over, even though they don't seem judgmental at all and their house was ALSO kind of a mess!

    Questions: meh
  • @SmashJam I get hostess anxiety too but maybe over time you can get more comfortable with them and feel less self conscious? Our house is usually in a state of mild disaster. It sounds nice to have neighborkids who can play with yours!

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/23/ 10w2d

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Upcoming Appointments: No appts until 10/11 (after having weekly u/s for the past four weeks).

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Tired a bit.

Rants/Raves: I am so lazy, I was supposed to talk to a financial advisor today and ghosted her because DS2 woke up right before the call. When I was still practicing I was always being stalked by financial advisors and now I still apparently don’t want to talk to them. We had a great morning at the park - weather is beautiful. I brought our lunch and we ate at a picnic table. There were a group of SAHMs there that I was intimidated by because they were all so young and slim and pretty.

Questions: has anyone found maternity joggers they love? I found some from H&M but they over belly part is cotton (?) which will be fine for a while but I think this belly is gonna need spandex eventually.
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/28 9w4d(according to last u/s I’m not sure what they are officially going to go by yet.

FTM/STM/TTM+:STM DS is 9 next week and DD6

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday I have my first real appt with the OB. Have had 3 u/s and blood work but will happy to finally see the dr. And hopefully get an official due date and NIPT ordered.

How are you feeling?: Horrible. Really can’t remember feeling this exhausted and nauseous before with pregnancies.

Rants/Raves: I found out I was pregnant the day after we had our offer accepted on a new house. We close this Thursday and start to move in next week. It’s been the most stressful weeks of my life and we plan on doing some remodeling so the next few months don’t look like they will be any less. But I am excited for the new house, just want to feel settled.

    Questions:
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/30, 9w1d

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Upcoming Appointments: Intake appt on Thursday. Kinda nervous. Its a new practice, but I'm always nervous for doctor appointments so that's pretty standard. Its on the phone though so maybe I won't be so nuts  :D

How are you feeling?: Like garbage. I am only functioning bc of unisom + b6 3x a day still. It allows me to consume a regular amount of food per day but its split up into small constant eating. Still tired. Some days more extreme than others. Today is a doozy.

I'm also at a weird phase where I'm like am I really pregnant? Is there a baby in there? What if theres 2 babies in there? I suppose after a first US, it'll feel more real. My body def knows it pregnant, but my brain sometimes is not totally caught up.

Rants/Raves: My pubic bone hurts already! That didn't start with DS3 til 15 weeks. I need to dig my brace/wrap thing out.

    Questions: ?
  • I am also going to miss everyone posting in the same thread.

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: April 28/ 8+4

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Upcoming Appointments: had my first US today.

How are you feeling?: Nervous. The symptoms have not been similar to my last pregnancy which I know every pregnancy is different but the lack of nausea and today's US worry me.

Rants/Raves: I booked off some extra time for the US so I could go get a bubble tea and I'm so glad I did.

    Questions: N/A
  • @miss_lynn9 I said this already in the other thread but I’m thinking of you ❤️
  • @miss_lynn9 I’m sorry you’re going through this. I saw your post in the u/s thread. I would recommend to ask for HCG tests (preferably two about 48 hours apart). Did they really see nothing or a gestational sac seemingly without structure? I would be concerned if they couldn’t find the gestational sac in your uterus of the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside the uterus). I’m not a dr, I am not saying that’s what’s happening, and not trying to scare you, but unfortunately it does happen and it can be dangerous. Hopefully the tech just missed something and there is a baby in the right place growing  <3
  • @zamoraspin2 she didn't really explain anything to me. She just showed me the screen point and said she didn't see anything in there. So I'm not sure what she meant. I was thinking about ectopic pregnancy. I emailed my MW yesterday but she hasn't gotten back to me. I expect she's waiting for the US so she can look at it. I will ask my MW about. HCG test thank you!
  • *lurking* @miss_lynn9 I’m so sorry you’re going through this uncertainty. I read through your intro again and saw that you tested early, which makes it unlikely the baby is younger by a few weeks. I’m not a medical doctor but I don’t think you should have to wait for 2 weeks for answers if you don’t want to. FX for you. ❤️
  • @miss_lynn9 I'm sorry you've got uncertainty and no answers. Have you heard back from your MW yet?

  • @Avrilmai She sent me for an hCG test which k gor yesterday. It was within the range it should be for 9ish weeks pregnant. I'm going again tomorrow to see if it doubles.

I'm sorry I've been quite. It's hard being on here with the uncertainty.
  • @miss_lynn9 No need to apologize to us, just focus on yourself and do what you need to do and we’ll be here for you in the meantime.
  • @miss_lynn9 That's a good sign that your hCG was in range! I have everything crossed for you.

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: April 23, 10+5

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

Upcoming Appointments: Had my NIPT this week. Next ultrasound is October 18.

How are you feeling?: I thought my nausea was improving last week but this week I keep feeling really awful in the evenings and then find it difficult to sleep.

Rants/Raves: We are currently building a house and there have been so many delays along the way....delayed land registration, COVID, lockdowns, vaccination requirements for builders to get back to work. Bricks were meant to have started over the last 2 weeks but haven't heard anything from the site supervisor in a while and the rain this week will have further slowed things down. At this rate we will be lucky to move in before baby is due. Not ideal since we currently live at my in laws but on the upside we are closer to the hospital here.

    Questions: None
  • @aloha_mama Are you still feeling better?

    @littlestbear03 Happy closing day today!

@amys614 I think when I was pregnant with DS2 I was only fully convinced there was a baby in there when I started feeling him move! I hope you’re feeling better.
  • @miss_lynn9 I’m glad to hear the numbers looked good. I think by now doubling will be slower, FYI, because it slows down as the numbers get higher, but if it’s going up that’s a good sign.(I just wanted to mention in case you see if hasn’t strictly doubled in 48 hrs, that’s still ok). I know the waiting is impossible  <3

@constantinabee Oh I can’t imagine doing a whole house build this past 18 months. We bought a house last year that needed a lot of work (we put in a whole new kitchen, by which I mean additional kitchen), took down walls, gutted and redid the master bath, redid almost all the electrical, and it was a nightmare of delays. I can only imagine what you’ve been dealing with. I hope things speed up!
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/23

    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

    Upcoming Appointments: 10/6

How are you feeling?: Tired... all the time. I got 10 hours of sleep Sunday night, and wanted a nap just a couple hours later. Nausea comes and goes still. Not quite sure what to think about my EDD. My cycles were 25 days while we were trying this year, which was shorter than with my last two. That would put me at an EDD OF 4/20, but officially I'm still EDD 4/23.

Rants/Raves:  bummed I still haven't seen or heard my baby, sure hope everything is OK down there.  Can't fully enjoy this until I see it for myself.

    Questions:
  • @zamoraspin2 Yeah it's been a bit painful. Just found out the bricklayers that were originally contracted for the job all have COVID so now they're trying to find different bricklayers to avoid further delays.
Sounds like your experience was a lot more involved! I'm glad the building company take care of all the contractors and steps for us because doing all that ourselves would be enough to tip me over the edge lol
  • *Lurking from the April 9 board!

@constantinabee We’re in a very similar situation right now— we’re in the process of building our house and it will be CLOSE, whether house or baby will come first. Unfortunately our sea wall construction won’t start until November and only then can the actual house construction start. 🙈 Luckily my husband is a civil engineer and his construction company is the one building our house, so he’ll be able to push things along as fast as possible. Right now our estimate is to be finished by March, so I’m telling this little guy to stay in there as long as he can!!! 😅 Fingers crossed for you and your home too!
  • @minnie_yoga_mama and @constantinabee,

I feel you and you are brave souls to go through the process during these crazy times! I hope everything goes as smooth as possible with least amount of delays. We live in 120 year old house that we bought at the end of 2020. We have so many remodeling projects in the queue, but we have slowed down and are only doing one major one per year. We are now upgrading our heating cooling to geothermal. We signed the contract in April and the work has been on and off until now and we are still not done. FX next week is the end…we shall see. Between delays in permits, backordered equipment and staff shortage, we were on standstill for weeks at a time. I can only imagine a whole house! We are braving into kitchen remodeling in January. It’s supposed to be a 4 week job…I am not holding my breath….

  • @zamoraspin2 You’re so sweet to ask! I’m doing okay, I at least feel pretty good for the majority of the day but around 4 pm I start the downhill slide to feeling like garbage. It’s an improvement, though!
